There is a great pond to walk around that offers catch-and-release fishing, great playgrounds, a nice swimming pool, and lots of room for the kids to play. The bathroom and shower are nice and clean! When I made my reservations, I had to do some revising and they were so accommodating. While I asked for a pull-thru, I did take a back-in spot and they had someone spot for me. I would have liked a 50amp and sewer hookup, but again, I needed to make changes. They offer both RV and tent sites. The tent sites are in their own section, a nice green grassy area! If you decide to stay here, I found that a 30amp will run one of my A/Cs just fine and because of all the shady, I really only needed the one A/C. I did need to have my tanks dumped while I was there. They offer a dump service so I didn't need to move my RV nor even be there. It was a nominal fee compared to the savings from a full hook-up site!

Unfortunately it has a high algae level and you can't get near it. The shower houses and restrooms are really nice and clean. The pads are concrete and pretty level. The entire campground is clean and quiet and there's a lot of rooms between sites.

The grounds are always in good condition and the people in the park are all friendly and considerate. On the weekends there are activities for the kids as well as the fishing pond and pool. Came to the Greenville area to see the solar eclipse. After some searching online, found Wildcat…read moreWoods' website and called to see if they had any spaces still open. Luckily for me they did. I had a great view of the entire event right from the campground--no need to fight traffic or deal with huge crowds. A previous reviewer had negative things to say about Wildcat Woods, but I had a great experience. The owners were very friendly and we had some nice chats. They were also very accommodating: I had reserved a camping space for two nights initially, but I had to leave after just one night and they didn't charge me for it. I thought it would only be fair for me to pay for two nights since I didn't cancel the second night until almost the last minute, but they insisted I only had to pay for one. Although the park seems to be primarily geared to RVS, they had nice, grassy spots to pitch a tent (I've stayed at some RV parks who put campers in spaces that have flat, grass-free areas that are ideal for RVs, but whose soil is so compacted that you can barely drive a tent stake into it!) I'm not sure why a reviewer said the owners don't like dogs and that this isn't a good place for dogs. I saw lots of RVers/campers walking their dogs around the campground, and my campsite was right behind the owners' house and I saw them let their dogs out multiple times. The campground bathrooms and showers were very clean and when the owners were called away the morning of the eclipse due to a family emergency, they made sure to find someone to clean the bathrooms while they were gone. The two ponds on the property looked clear and scum-free to me, and if it had been a bit warmer, I would have taken a dip in the swimming area! There are some nice play structures by one of the ponds, and a basketball hoop with a big basket of balls nearby. There are a few trails in the woods for short walks, complete with some pretty spring wildflowers. I don't know what to make of the comment on the area smelling horrible. I didn't notice any bad smells when I was there, but given that the area surrounding Greenville and Wildcat Woods is farmland, it's possible that some farmers use manure or other fertilizers at certain times of year. I took a short walk on Wildcat Road before I left and the scenery was quite lovely--low rolling hills and lots of farms. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay at Wildcat Woods Campground and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. BTW, the solar eclipse was pretty awesome--I'd give it 10 stars (maybe Yelp should start a review category for celestial events?)!

From the beach to the multiple playgrounds, we were able to get anywhere we needed. There are so many amenities as well. The spring fed lake is gorgeous. There is a kids swimming area and a deeper adult swimming area with a swimming mat and a floating dock. If lake swimming isn't for you, there is also a heated pool. We also used the Wibit (floating obstacle course), kayaks, and paddle boats. All the rentals were reasonably priced and were great additions to our stay. The camp store and cafe are great as well. We were able to grab pizza and ice cream during our stay. We will definitely be back.

Depending on how people park the sites can be a little tough to pack into.. 3. There are sooooooo many golf carts! And the golf cart parade at sun down, it was over the top. The parade seemed to be made out of season campers that all know one another. 4. The older teenage element, that seemed to be seasonal campers, whoa! The mouthes one them. We fished with our kids as they dropped bunches of foul language & then proceeded to talk about fighting people, slamming people on the ground, and then ultimately sexual intercourse. These kids were not role models for our young ones. Oh and they were watching a kid that is about 6 years old. 5. The bathrooms, while they were. It the worst we've ever seen, they need a make over. 6. The lake is awesome. Bring a kayak or canoe if you have it. 7. Our fire pit had not been cleaned out in a very very long time.

The concept is really neat and you can use the raft for reaching your tent to explore the water ways. Make sure to bring a portable fan with you as the air can get stagnant and muggy in the tent if there is no breeze. As for the timing, we decided to go on the 4th of July because we thought it would be cool to see the fireworks out on the water. What we did not anticipate, however, was just how much the people of Troy seem to like their fireworks. People were setting them off over and around the water well past midnight. If you like to stay up late, this may not be a problem for you, but if you're like us and like to be asleep when the next day begins, you may want to pick a different date. Overall, I would highly recommend trying this out to experience it for yourself!

Entice the adventurer in you with a fun trip to Float Troy!…read more Thorough details are given at arrival as far as tethering, kayak/raft usage, safety, restrooms, check out procedure, etc. 7 cameras accompany the space at Treasure Island park with a 24/7 concierge/emergency line. Each tent is tethered several times in the shallow 2.5 feet deep river passage. You're not going anywhere! Locals suggested K's Hamburger shop and Grandpa Joe's Candy buffet- both were delicious! Wrap up everything in your biggest garbage bag and enjoy the paddle out to your own floating tent! Floating fire pits are first come first serve, highly recommend a four hour fire log to avoid a headache with getting a traditional fire started (while floating). Only downfall, the train. It came through a few times at night which definitely woke us up. It's all part of the experience, maybe we just booked a busy train night. This is one of those things that you just have to try once! Plan to get a teeny bit wet while transferring items or go all in and enjoy a swim on the Great Miami!
