Only downside- the little room they sat us in- we must've fought off 100 gnats (no exaggeration) during our time there. The waitress saw us doing this the whole time and said "yeah sorry we have a problem at the bar and they tend to migrate to this room." What an amazing place. We had the Meatlovers pizza and it was incredible! Strongly recommend that you order the marinara to dip the pizza in. It was delicious. Helpings are generous. We took home 1/2 a pizza. Everything that was being delivered to other tables looked amazing. Now to the service, our waitress Kaiyuki(sp ?) was beyond reproach! Very attentive and helpful. An 80s & 90s themed pizza shop with amazing pizza offerings? Yes, Please! The owners are huge Barbie & Star Wars fans and the restaurant is like a memorabilia dream come true. They've got so much cool stuff to check out. It's like a pizza shop museum! They have other memorabilia like a DeLorean (Back to the Future), E.T. stuff, and so much more. Lots of seating with three patios (dog-friendly, yay). Smaller interior seating that includes a bar area as well. The bar is newer and is themed for the Predator movies. The pizzas are amazing (NY-style in a brick oven) but so are the sandwiches and calzones. There are a lot of great menu options. My boyfriend is a fan of the brisket pizza. They have desserts too but we've not tried them...yet. My boyfriend is a Star Wars nerd and we both love nostalgia so this makes for a great stop when we're in the San Antonio area. Our waiter did such a wonderful job. He was so attentive, gave great explanations of menu options, and provided an engaging dining experience. The food was good but thought our pizza would be better honestly. My daughter said the Italian Sub was extremely tasty. The group consensus was the garlic knots and meatballs were the bomb. Came here because my wife saw it on Texas Eats. Love the atmosphere of the 80's. For a drink I ordered Yuengling beer, we ordered the Bruchetta as a starter. Very light and delicious with 5 pieces of Bruchetta. We ordered the large BBQ Brisket pizza substituting the onions for black olives. The pizza was thin crust,with a nice char on the bottom. We went to Darkside mainly to take our grandchildren (12 years (boy) and 7 years (girl)) to a cool, different pizza place. This place did not disappoint!! The Star Wars theme was just part of the amazing atmosphere. There were statues, pictures, toys, video games from the 70's, 80's and 90's and so many other cool things to see in every room. It was an awesome place and we loved the pizza and the garlic knots are amazing! We got one 16 inch for me and my husband to split and a 12 inch for the kids to split. We did bring some home, so those were the perfect sizes. My granddaughter wasn't too fond of the cheese pizza, but she is extremely picky, I'm guessing it was the sauce, but she loved the garlic knots. Local business with great pizza and wonderful family vibes! We made the drive from Fredericksburg and planned for an early dinner around 4 PM on a Saturday. There were several vacant spots inside the restaurant but unfortunately your entire party has to arrive prior to seating despite the vacancies. Amazing decor and memorabilia from Star Wars, ET, Jaws, and lots of 80s/90s classics. They have displays on the top floor seating area as well, including a Yoda fountain outdoors. They also have a Jabba the Hut room! We ordered 4 large pizzas including the brisket, Hawaiian, meat lovers, and white margherita with 2 salads and beverages. This was just enough to feed 8 adults. This fun place feels of 80s memories! I came here at lunch on a Saturday just about 1200. There was parking and also seating! When we walked in I saw Luke Skywalker, Yoda and so many fun things that brought back all the memories. From toys to movie memorabilia there were tons of things to look at!! We started with the garlic knots, the order had 4 and marinara sauce. They were very tasty. Personally, I would have used half of the dough and given 8 instead to have more of the yummy garlic sauce!! The pizza we got were 2- 12 inch pizzas. It fed all 4 of us and we didnt have left overs. We got a BBQ chicken (unfortunately they were out of brisket), and Hawaiian. Both pizzas were tasty, full of amazing flavors amd I enjoyed them. The oven is a brick oven they were baked in and you could taste the wood fire flavors! The wait staff was very nice and we got beverage refills quickly. They did suggest dessert, and the dessert we wanted was the spaghetti, but per the waitress who had been here for about 6 months she said, the machine is not working. So, overall 5 stars, I could have removed one for no brisket and for not getting the dessert we wanted, but the atmosphere would not let me remove a star. The ambiance is amazing. With real props and some replicas from the movies of our childhood, this place's atmosphere rocks. We started out with some appetizers, a caprese salad and the meatball skillet. My wife really enjoyed the caprese salad and commented that it was the perfect amount of salt and pepper. I give the meatball skillet a 4/5 but I'm a harsh meatball critic having had the best ones in the world in Vilnius, Lithuania. So yes I would recommend you order one before moving onto the pizza. For pizza, we chose to do a half and half (meat lovers and white margarita). The wood fired thin crust was great, no complaints! No issues with the service either, the waitstaff was helpful and engaging. My only complaints were they gave our drinks in disposable plastic cups, pizza was served on disposable plates, and they charge .50 cents for water. Also, I think the menu could benefit from offering some additional main courses aside from pizza and calzones. Afterwards we walked over to the Dark Side, After Dark lounge and was really impressed with the decor. The entire small bar is a set out of the movie Predator. My family are star wars fans and the era they focus on is one of the best. 80's movies, toys & games. The place is filled with nostalgia and I love it. Its like eating at an 80s museum. As you walk through the restaurant to be seated, you are taken back in time. The place has seating everywhere. There is even a little upstairs area where we were seated. They only have 2 single bathrooms, so plan accordingly lol. The service was done with a smile and the food was brought out fresh hot and tasted delicious. We got two pizzas, pizza rolls, garlic knows and a dark side macadamia white chocolate cookie that we shared for dessert. Saturday night the family was craving pizza for dinner, so I ordered takeout. By the time we got home, my boys had already finished their slices almost immediately. Unfortunately, the pizza had a very large crust, which meant there wasn't much sauce or cheese covering the actual pizza. Most of the slice felt like bread rather than pizza. I was pretty disappointed because my boys ended up eating more crust than actual pizza, and I still had to find something else to feed them afterward. When I went in to pick up the order, the service was also slow. No one was up front to help with takeout, and I had to wave down the guy working the oven even though he saw me standing there. Finally, a bar and restaurant seemingly made just for me! Sure, it may give off Planet Hollywood vibes, but it has much better food and a way more personable collection of memorabilia. I'm sure I'm not the only one who could spend hours looking around this pop culture shrine. We had the charcuterie board and built a spicy pizza (and it actually was spicy!). Both were great. They offer a good selection of wines and beers, including restaurant-branded wines. It's been getting attention on X and TikTok for its adjacent Predator-themed bar (which is fantastic in its own right), but it has so much more to offer. There was about a 40 minute wait for a table on a Saturday night, but we just went to the Predator-themed bar to easily pass that time. Our service was good at both venues. If you love 70s/80s/90s pop culture, this place is for you. It's seemingly in the middle of nowhere, but the packed house clearly shows people are willing to make the journey. I can't tell you how long I've had this joint on my radar. Took our little one to the play area just across the way for her birthday this past weekend, so of course we had dinner here. This place reminds me of those old Planet Hollywood restaurants!? Remember those!? Kinda rivaled Hard Rock, but with movies and memorabilia!? They got some fun, impressive stuff in here. The no-frills cheese pizza for the little was fine, and I would definitely recommend the brisket bbq pizza. Very good. Service wasn't great, unfortunately. Our server couldn't help but vent they just got back from being on break and all of a sudden had several tables. They were completely scattered and I think we repeated our drink order 2/3x. And, I found myself getting up three times to get things we needed, myself. Even had to track them down for the bill. Bottom line: neat space, neat decor, good pizza. The second came about twenty-five minutes later. By then, my wife had finished eating, and I didn't want to make her sit there for another half hour, so I asked for the boxes right away. I suspect the long wait is due to having only one oven. It looks fantastic, but the volume of business likely calls for a larger or second oven, as the delay was quite noticeable. The service was okay, but not great. My server came by when I didn't need anything, but vanished when I did. This made everything feel slower than it needed to, especially when I was trying to get the bill or a box. On a positive note, I checked out the bar in the back, and the Predator theme is fantastic. However, I was surprised that there were no Predator-themed cocktails available on opening weekend. I ended up pulling up ChatGPT for some recipes, and the bartender made them, which was fun, but it would have been nice if the bar had some themed drinks ready to go. Went on a Saturday. Pizza was great. We had the 12" pepperoni CYO traditional. The cheese on it was perfect and the crust was just right. Service was not the best at first, but it was a busy day so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I do plan to come again because that cheese is worth the 50 min drive. All the cool memorabilia they have throughout was fun to look at. Definitely great photo ops. I think my only disappointment is it appears much bigger in videos I've seen on social media, the space felt somewhat claustrophobic. What a great start of the New Year with some good food and pizza. I saw this a few times on tiktok and was recommended by a friend so had to try it. When we first arrived there parking was unique. It wrapped around the building it seems so in front doesn't seem like alot of available spots. Thankfully we came on a Sunday as they opened around 11am so no issues here. Yelp does say they are closed Sunday but check online will show it's open so hopefully no confusion there. We were seated fairly quickly and were upstairs. All over the place you can definitely see 80s theme throughout. From Star Wars to Back to the Future it was all cool to look at. It brought me back to my childhood for sure. The area seemed a bit smaller than expected but pretty roomy. They also have an outside patio with a Yoda Fountain thought was cool but was too cold to sit outside this day. The staff we interacted with were all very nice, chill, and helped with all the questions we had. Now for the food we ordered alot for the family so was able to try various options. The Garlic bread we were not expecting them to be as big as they were but were sooo good! Their bread was so soft, fluffy and garlic sauce was on point. We also ordered their Tomato and Basil Bruschetta which was also good too. The presentation was very nice and tasted delicious. One person ordered the meat lovers pizza. I was surprised to see that they put tomato sauce on top of the pizza as well but otherwise the family loved it. Nothing really beats a brick oven pizza for sure! Another person ordered a club sandwich and that was a huge sandwich. The bread, like the pizzas, were so good and chewy I wouldn't have mind ordering that either. I had also ordered a white margarita pizza and added peperoni which was also amazing. They did forget to put tomatoes on top of mine but was originally going to disregard since everything was good. However, the manager came over and brought me a whole new pizza that was correct and apologized to me about that as they have a new guy working today. What a great restaurant to spend the end of the week!! As soon as we walked in we fell in love with the atmosphere and community that surrounded us. We were a larger party of seven so we requested to sit outside to minimize crowds since it is typically smaller on the inside. What a far out place this is!! We were in town and wanted to try something different. This place is not in town and not directly on the road. As we walked in the hostess was busy talking to other staff with her back to us. It took a couple of minutes for her to turn around and say hello. She led us to a table in the bar area. This place is divided into small rooms. It's kinda crowded. I asked where the restrooms were and when I went it's just a me and woman restroom. One toilet for that many people, even staff. As I waited for the ladies restroom and female staff member came out of the men's room so I just went in there. Only difference is a urinal in the men's. The owners, Michael and Denice Hawes, clearly poured their hearts into creating this unique and magical place. Denice was going table to table, checking on guests and making everyone feel right at home. My wife and I had a chance to speak with her, and she was incredibly kind, professional, and passionate about their restaurant. We ordered a large pepperoni, ham, and extra cheese pizza, and it was absolutely delicious -- hot, cheesy, and loaded with flavor. You can tell they take pride in their food just as much as their décor. The life-size statues of Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, E.T., Teen Wolf, Marty McFly, Doc Brown, and a giant Wampa from The Empire Strikes Back make it feel like you're dining inside a movie museum. Once seated in our postage stamp table 3x2 for a family of 4 we got our pizza, which tasted like a cardboard coaster borrowed from the bar. The Greek salad came with a "burnt oven" dressing that I'm convinced is a new form of punishment, and the meatballs had the texture and flavor of boiled dog food (if boiled dog food had dreams of being meat).
