Came in on a weekend and without an appointment. We didn't have to wait too long considering how busy they were. First impression was how inviting they were. Service was top notch. From the complimentary snacks and beverages they offer (chilled water and champagne) to the variety of pedicure options. We opted for the milk and honey special pedicure which was heavenly! Lisa and My were absolutely sweet and they took their time with our pedicures. I feel like most places shuffle their clients in and out as fast as possible. There are so many options for colors, styles of polish. They also use liners in the basin- something I look for because it shows how the business cares about their customers and their hygiene. They are closed on Sundays so Saturdays are usually busy, so best to make an appointment. They have definitely earned my business as a regular. read more

I went in for the first time for a gel manicure and pedicure. The nail tech who did my gel manicure did a fantastic job, and the lady who was working on my toes was also very thorough. However, just before she painted my toes she went to another client and the lady who had been at the counter came over to finish it. She did a terrible job. The paint was all over my skin, and it wasn't the color I requested. I selected a pink and it was an awful orange/red color. When I mentioned it, she insisted it was the correct color. I would go back but I will be very specific next time on who I get. read more

Just moved back to the area, came here for the first time based on the reviews. Even with good reviews, I dread trying new nail salons because you never know how consistent the pricing will be not to mention quality. I'm relieved to say I only had to try one nail salon to solidify my new go-to as Darling Nails! Trust the reviews on this one. They were busy but promptly helped me as a walk in, were super kind, did a great job on all my requests, and I felt the pricing was VERY reasonable for the Seattle area. Exact price I expected and itemized charges on checkout, I appreciate the transparency. I paid $135 for a gel full set with almond shape and a gel pedicure with acrylics on the big toes. Super personable staff, I loved the vibe. Kim did my nails and Mai did my pedicure, both ladies were very detail-oriented and sweet. I'll absolutely be back. I went in for the first time today! I'm very impressed! I got Lee/Li (I'm sorry don't know how to spell her name!) She was very friendly and she was extremely quick. I love how they have student discounts for college students and birthday discounts! My sister got a pedicure with Linda and she loved it. I would recommend. The owner is extremely friendly as well. I came to Darling Nails to take my mom out before my wedding, and to get my bridal nails. I chose Darling because it looked a little more bright and cheery than other places I have gone to. And it was just as great as the pictures! Everyone was really welcoming, and they offered drinks during our mani/pedis. (I got a tasty Vietnamese Coffee.) They were awesome and really professional, helping me find exactly what I wanted when I wasn't sure how I wanted them to look. Unlike other places, I also felt that the polish was well organized and presented, and I did not feel rushed to pick out my coloring. It was a perfect experience, and a nice memory for my mom and I. To celebrate my wedding, the owner gave us a nice gift. I'm really excited to come back and try their massage packages. The massage I had as part of the pedicure was perfect so I am thrilled they offer that as an individual option. I love coming here with my sisters for our little pedicure dates, but this time I came solo and it was still just as perfect! From the initial conversation, I knew this place was professional. I was in town for work and needed to tackle my nails. Darling Nails did an amazing job on my Builder Gel fill-in. The manicure was thorough but quick. I also received a Foot Soak. Super cool experience. I wanted the massage over the pedicure so this service is a smart choice. I wish the massage was more of a massage than a casual rub but the service itself is quite nice. The owner, Alex, smiles constantly, greets everyone warmly and is super helpful. The technicians are also friendly and work well as a team. I even forgot my water bottle there - again I was traveling so when I realized I didn't have it, I called, got Alex, told her I had left it and she brought it to my hotel without hesitation. The place is beautiful, well-organized. The manager made us feel more than welcomed and everybody is friendly. But that doesn't help the quality of service they provide. We got Gentle Pedicure $45. It came with all the basic care, callus removal, sugar scrub, hot stones, massage, paraffin wax. The guy tech that did my pedicure was gentle to one point I think he's too new. He ignored the callus on my big toe which I think was obvious to see. The sugar scrub took 1 minute, massage took 3 minutes. He went to grab paraffin wax, hot towels and proceeded to soak my feet in the wax then wrap my legs with hot towels. The moment he finished with wrapping the hot towels, he removed the paraffin wax right away??? So the wax stayed on my foot for about 1 minute, same as the hot towels. The owner can check the camera if you want to clarify timing. No where have I ever been to have a pedicure that the treatment doesn't look rush because he's super slow, but nothing feels like a treatment. Worse than all of this, my toe got painted horribly. If it's just a bad egg, please get rid of it instead of playing with people's time and money. If he needs practices, go to beauty school. read more

I was very impressed by the cleanliness of this salon!!! This is a big concern of mine as I had knee surgery and am always worried about infections. The technicians were excellent!!! I have been her a few times so far. The first time I came in because a nail salon down the street destroyed my nails. My nail bed was bleeding and my polish was chipping. I walked into ask if they could recommend anything. They got me right in and sat me down. They explained everything and my nails are healed a few weeks later. They took their time and gave me a full set while my nails healed. Then I came back for a pedicure and had the top notch experience. I can not say enough about this salon. It is clean, friendly, lots of options, and they work together to provide the best experience. I will for sure keep coming and will bring all my friends and family here when in town! read more

I've gone to Darling Nails twice recently and both times enjoyed my mani/pedi. The first time, they did both at the same time and then the next time I had the mani first then the pedi. I have pretty short nails and usually just want basic color, but I love that I can choose matching polish in shellac and regular. Last time, my shellac mani started lifting immediately, but I also did some yard work so I am blaming myself over the manicure. Overall, def a fan of this salon. The only thing I'm slightly "meh" about is that I think my cuticles could have been trimmed more, but honestly I would rather not trim than over-trim. I get a shellac mani and regular pedi for $60 before tip, which feels fair to me. read more

Disclaimer: apparently they don't do 3d art on nails here like the flowers but they use premade flowers to stick on nails like gems, at least the woman who did my nails. There is only one nail that lifted but all other nails have no lifting and I am constantly washing my hands and wash dishes and cook everyday. I've never had a set last this long so great prep job! Only thing I was disappointed about was that she didn't know how to do 3d flowers which were in the reference photo I showed her before anything got started and 2 of my fingers didn't match the others in color and when I asked her if she could redo it she said she couldn't bc she'd have to redo the whole nail. My nails came out decent but I really wanted them to come out like the reference photo but she couldn't do 3d art and didn't have the chrome. I told her if she had builder gel to make it but I guess she's never heard of it before. But anyway 5 stars for the quality of the set but have to bring it down to 3 stars for the massage chair and nail design. Also, my leg massage for the mani was nonexistent.

After trying the Oriental Massage place by BJ's, I decided to try the competition. My experience was so painful, literally leaving bruises on me, I was cautious when trying Jade Forest. My first visit was a little over a month ago, on my last trip to Seattle. I decided to start with a 20 minute foot massage, because I had committed to a full hour (table) massage at the previous massage spa. The guy who greeted me, led me to a lounge chair, and gave me one of the better foot massages I've had in a while. Satisfied, I booked an hour long massage for the following day. One month later, I'm back in Seattle, and I have had two hour long treatments while in town. The people here are very friendly, and there can be a slight language barrier, but I highly recommend this business. Walk in appointments are available, I schedule an appointment with the person I prefer.

Christy does my nails every time with precision and care; her skill set is amazing with the ability to create designs no matter the ideas brought. Shes creative and capable in finding solutions. I've never had a nail break, and I do type and play instruments and clean my house without thought of preserving my nails. Which tells me she knows what she is doing and the quality is built to last. If you need to get extensions in order to grow your nails longer under the Japanese gel, the first appointment will be pricier than the rest, but if you take care of them and use the nail oils (either your own or the one that Christy was so nice to give me) each appointment will be less than the first, given the range of designs chosen. The salon itself is a bit tricky to find if you're unfamiliar-- it is inside the 99 area mall, to the left of 99 if you enter from the front. It's its own storefront and is pretty quiet and calm inside. First appointment after tip was close to 300. After I've had a range of 130-200 after tip depending on design. I've tried other salons for less that provide acrylic or gel tips that have good reviews and techs but I've always had a nail break or my natural nails would suffer. I've been coming for a few months and my nails are healthier longer and I get compliments always. :)

I recently treated myself to the new Milk & Collagen Spa Manicure at Darling Nails, and it was honestly one of the best experiences I have ever had. From the warm milk soak to the collagen treatment and luxurious hand massage, every step felt incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. The hand massage was absolutely amazing, so soothing that I felt completely relaxed and slept better than I had in days afterward. My hands felt silky soft, hydrated, and refreshed, and the entire experience felt more like a spa retreat than a manicure. The salon was spotless and beautifully maintained. What truly made the experience special was the team. Alex is incredibly welcoming, kind, attentive, and always cheerful and helpful. She creates such a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Her team genuinely cares about their customers and takes great pride in providing exceptional service. I am not someone who usually writes reviews but I couldn't be more excited to write a review for this place. First off they were so kind and so helpful! I'm picky with my nail colors and Kim sat there and looked at all of the colors helping me find the right match. She was so gentle and focused on making them just how I wanted. Not only are they affordable and they also give teachers a discount which is so amazing! This is absolutely be my new nail spot and somewhere I will be recommending to everyone!! I absolutely love this salon . I have been coming here for awhile now , and I always can count on the nails techs to take good care of me , and make sure I am happy with their work . my job requires me to be on my feet up to 13 hours a day . I always look forward to their amazing and so relaxing pedicures . Best I've ever head !!! From the heated neck pillow to the thorough scented massage this is a must every month for me. I have been looking for a good nail salon for awhile now and was hesitant to come here because of the negative reviews but I am so happy I came! From the time me and my sisters walked in to the time we left it was nothing but great service. We all loved our nails and had a great time laughing and talking to the lovely ladies who did our nails. We were also offered water and each given a nail filer to take home! I've been coming to darling nails for the last 3 months. The quality, timeliness, and cleanliness are all consistently solid. I appreciate that even when they are busy, the environment and vibe are still calming. I recently tried out K&Y down the street (because it was a Sunday and I needed a dip manicure for Monday), and the experience was opposite. Darling nails is slightly more expensive, but the quality and experience you receive is well worth an extra $5!! read more

I decided to honor their policy and pay, and I told her that they should tell first time customers this policy so they are not surprised when we come to the register. What happened next really surprised me. I gave her my card to pay, and her POS machine was malfunctioning with the chip and she started yelling at me because her POS was not working (the chip and the slide function). It was an older machine but it's no problem, things happen. However, I didn't appreciate how rude she was to me. When I gave her another card to use she stated that she'll have to charge me an extra charge for using a credit card. She also asked me if I had Apple Pay, which I do and that they accept that. She asked for my phone, but the POS machine didn't have a tap feature for Apple Pay via iPhone to use. It was only a card insert machine. And when I asked her to bring her POS machine for me to tap my phone like she requested,, she kept yelling at me that my card in my phone wasn't working. I then decided to just use my debit card and she told me that they don't take Bank of America, which I was so confused that she didn't understand that this was a debit card. At this point I knew that something was really off. I ended up using my debit card after she was arguing with me and being aggressive in her tone and manner with me when it was calm the whole time during the pedicure. She seemed like a very sweet lady and we had a pleasant conversation about the cream she thought would be helpful for my nails but I did not expect for it to end that way. I couldn't believe how she decided to take advantage of me and charge me $60 for a no polish pedicure and a product I bought separately for $15. When I corrected her and said that the math is actually $50 ($35 for classic pedicure that she said I had to pay even though I didn't get any nail polish and $15 for the product), we changed the price to $50 from $60. I let her know that I will pay this time, because I know how hard it can be for small businesses, but I am never coming here ever again. The way she handled that situation was unfortunate and now I have to write this review to warn people away from this place. It sucks when people try and get over on you. Especially as a first time customer. Is the economy that bad for people to treat folks this way? All I wanted was a simple treat after a long day at work. All and all, don't come here. Ever. I wish that lady the best.
