Only giving him 1 star because 0 is not an option. This guy took our money, the day before he sends us an email asking if we need to cancel feel free to let him know. Then the morning of after we both had taken the day off work, been to the salon, she scheduled makeup, child care and then he sends some BS email saying he got in a car accident and he is heading to the hospital. I didn't believe him. I was also offended that he didn't even have the decency to call. So we decided to stalk him on Facebook and we see that while he was supposedly at the hospital he is checking in at the mall that is near our house. Such lack of professionalism. We spent over $1,000 in preparations and this is the service we get. Boo his service, we are a hard working family that was trying to take our engagement photos and he treats us this way. Darrell is a great person to work with and produces excellent photographs! Darrell did a photo shoot with my girlfriend and I watched him work. He did an awesome job with her shoot and prints...she was very happy. Then I decided on a photo shoot myself. I told him and showed him what kind of shots I'd like and ideas of locations. He understood my vision and did our shoot at the convention center. It was perfect and it was a beautiful day! He talked to me about anything/everything so he can capture candid and natural shots (which I wanted) of me being comfortable. He has a natural gift to make you feel comfortable...therefore produced great shots! We explored many spots at the embarcadero and convention center. He really took his time with me and talked me through in how to pose/ect. It was a pretty good photo shoot! I received the final photos in about two weeks and loved all of them! October 27th, 2012. Was the photographer of my Sweet 16, this person happened to make a deal with "Someone else" and they were supposed to divide the money i paid him in half. He showed up to the party, took pictures and after never heard of him or my pictures. Only thing he did was email the pictures, which was not the deal at all. I was supposed to get an album and a portrait picture but didn't at all. And all because he had trouble with the person he partnered up wtih. At the end i paid for what i had made a deal for, and obtained nothing but an email. They took away my money, and my beautiful memories this was a special day to me and now i can't even look back it. Let me preface this by saying that I am not a model and have never taken professional photos, unless you count the cheesy photos that get taken in grade school for school picture day.... But recently, I had the privilege of working with darrel on a photo shoot for a company that I was associated with. To say I was nervous would be an understatement, but Darrel quickly put myself and the fellow girls at ease.
