I followed-up with the request in writing, and then again confirmed over the phone that my request would be honored. They promised me it would be. Well, they cremated the body and forgot to preserve a lock of hair first. Initially, they blamed it on the coroner. I called the coroner who confirmed the body was in order when they released it to Heritage and then she called Heritage herself to let them know. Heritage finally admitted it was their mistake and promised that a supervisor would call me immediately. I never heard back from anyone at Heritage. I would recommend against using Heritage.

After we called 6 times- Carl still did not respond, nor did he arrange the pick up when we had another funeral director call him to help us, Carl was rude and swore to this other funeral home director. Turns out funeral homes in Colorado do have have to be licensed to operate--clearly this is a horrible over-sight and allows anybody to hang a shingle to operate. After 4 hours of waiting we called a different funeral home and they arrived in less than 90 minutes. CAUTION!!!
