Website on Facebook says beautiful lake views, but all you see is docks and buildings from 95% of the sites, however they will charge you premium prices for the ugly views. They also say full hookups for electric water and sewer, but half the sites don't have sewer hookups. Owner offers to pump out the sewer maunally, but only when its convenient for him, not when you need it. Owners read the electric meters but do not offer a bill for your usage, and can't remember the reads when asked for verification. These owners don't xare about the enjoyment of the renters only the money put into their pockets. There are much better camping places on Watts Bar lake that offer lower prices and a real family experience.

The "city" of Smithville isn't exactly a booming place to be... Mostly closed or old buildings - very small, and unless you're camping, I wouldn't stay in the immediate area. But once you get to the lake, it's amazing! The campgrounds are well kept and fairly large. The lake itself winds around, snake-like, with cove after cove to play in or soak up the sun in. You want privacy? You got it! You want wakes? You have that too! The fishing must be outstanding considering the many tournaments they have there. My husband and I live closer to two other lakes, but we drive just over an hour to come to this one. We can't say enough great things about it!

There was water at our site, and each site had a charcoal grille, a fire pit, and a spot for the tent. The staff was very friendly and the marina had sandwiches and a few other food items for sale. They rent boats, pontoons, and boat slips. Our party rented a pontoon. It was clean and seemed to be fairly new. The bathroom is at the marina. It's a one seater. It was about a 1/2 mile walk from our campsite. There is a shower house near the marina as well as a small playground for kids. There are two hoses to wash the mud off your vehicles, and the shower house has one shower and one toilet each for men and women. The best part by far are the falls and the views. We had a ton if rain our first day there and the falls were all so beautiful. You'll miss it if you don't get out on a boat or kayak. They had those for rent as well!
