Signed up with three friends for a cold and sunny Saturday and had a great time in class. The instructor Jackie (or Jacquie or Miss Jackie) was wonderful, kept the class on time, was educational, supportive. I had two books finished before I left. A quick wander through the store showed me that I had never seen a store with as many papers as ArtQuest has to offer. Sadly, I will be back. First I contacted them through Facebook to confirm they were open, and taking orders. i received and immediate response. I called the shop Wednesday and placed my order for pickup on Saturday afternoon. My order was packed and waiting for me. The baker even made us a special order of macarons, as the min order was a dozen. Chef's choice on the flavor. I'm so happy to have been able to order some sweet treats for my hard working guys this Easter.

I booked a class for a friend on a Saturday afternoon. We…read morearrived early, checked in and sat at the tables waiting for the class to start. The building is huge and they had tons of classes and items to paint separately. There were quite a few people signed up for the class and they had a few teachers helping out. We were given an overview and an example of what we needed to do and we were off. The class included one of our creations to be glazed and colored. It was such a fun class and the 2.5 hours went very quick! Awesome thing to do and super fun!

They moved locations since the last time I was here but it's still a pretty rad concept--a…read morenonprofit resale of craft and art supplies and other goods that can be repurposed and upcycled into art supplies. There's a lot here if you're willing to dig through! There's a vintage area with tons of old, vintage papers, photographs, sheet music, postcards, photo albums, negatives, etc. Loads of scrap fabric and remnants, yarn, embroidery floss, notions, scrap paper, scrapbooking materials, stickers, stencils, even industrial supplies like foam scraps, and household materials like pill bottles (empty of course), lids, jars, storage containers, craft kits, old calendars, big bins of wine corks, pens, etc. They have a HUGE selection of old National Geographic issues, some going back as far as the 1930s. Perfect for collages or collecting. They also have a few machines like scales, microscopes, sewing machines, etc. As well as a few tools, wood and metal working items, just bits and bobs of tons of things to sort through. It changes all the time so stop in regularly to see what they get in! And the best part? It's all SO cheap and keeps all these things out of landfills (56K lbs just last year)! Upcycling FTW! Some things are in better condition than others but if you're the creative type you will be inspired by all you can find here. And since things are so affordable you can really take risks and noodle around without worrying about wasting your supplies. Want more inspo? This diminutive spot adjacent to the Blissfield Antique Mall gives a nice impression upon entering. It's well done and has some unusual selections. This last observation then segues into my wife's comments that she relayed to me after talking with the owner. She (the owner) opened this shop because the craft show activity in the area has been greatly mitigated due to issues related to COVID. This establishment gives local crafters an outlet for their wares, and there are one-of-a-kind offerings that can be found throughout. My wife bought a beautifully decorated birdhouse for a steal (barely above the price of the materials). If you're looking for an unusual gift, this is a terrific place to look for one.

Fantastic selection of projects to create, from as simple to as complex as you want. Wide selection of different types of paints and glazes to use to customize your piece. The owners and staff bent over backwards to introduce us to the space and process and were very personable throughout our visit. Very affordable as well!! Even the selection of 70s-80s music playing in the studio was fun and had us singing along as we worked. We're excited to return to create some more and hone our painting skills.
