Lousy customer service--I'm a builder who frequently rents heavy lifts, tractors etc. for construction projects; go to Sunbelt.

Great service, friendly people, and they're willing to work with you. We get replacement parts there for our tractor, and have had great help over the years. We got our first Kubota compact tractor over the internet, used, from a place in North Carolina. I became very comfortable with its operation. Over the years, the B2400 did the jobs we gave it (snow removal, moving a lot of dirt and gravel, lawn mowing with a rear mower attachment) but it was actually a bit under powered for some of the jobs we gave it. We had a joke. We would say, "Ramming speed!" as we would run full-speed into our school bus-sized compost pile or a big pile of dirt with the loader bucket lowered to scoop up a full load. One day, hubby was moving forty-seven tons of gravel. At the very end of moving all of it, the years of heavy use caught up and the B2400 broke. We could not repair it. We were not exactly sure if it could be repaired. Wolverine allowed us to trade this in for a bigger Kubota, an L3700SU. The new one is even better; not just larger but more comfortable and roomy. We have also rented equipment there, such as a stump grinder and a huge wood chipper. The rental fee might seem a bit high because it's in Ann Arbor, but the price is comparable for the area. We are confident that Wolverine will continue to provide us with excellent rental service and tractor maintenance advice. read more

Great service department. Left my string trimmer with Dustin and got back a week later. Great post repair summary and suggestions for trimmer maintenance. Runs like new. Use premixed Moto gas with Stihl trimmers. read more

Thought it'd be a good idea to utilize their service for a fence project in our backyard, rented an auger for digging the fence post holes and the machine looked like it was about 10 years old, after lugging it home and attempting to drill holes the engine gave out. Took the machine back to Wolverine and they apologized and gave us another machine that looked 10 years old. After lugging this one home the engine gave out. Took the machine back and asked for a refund for a complete waste of time with their out of touch equiptment. Instead my wife and I were approached by the manager and accused of trying to pull a fast one on their company and accused of misusung their tools. After a very awkward and unnecessary confrontation in public we were given no refund and no apology. After the manager stormed off , his cashier who was sitting at the desk who heard everything apologized to my wife and I, and stated how poorly that was handled. Seeming sincere and embarrassed to be associated with the manager. I would only suggest going to this business to those who are up and coming entrepreneurs who want to see a poor example of a business model for research purposes. read more

Great experience with Wolverine Rental will definitely rent again. I was able to explain the project to Greg and he helped us figure out exactly what we needed. The delivery was also great. The gentleman took time to explain how to use the equipment and show demonstrated the use. We rented a stand behind skid steer, bucket and auger for 12" footings 42" deep. Equipment worked perfectly. Highest prices. Bad equipment. No customer service. I called to inquire about a concrete coring bit and was given one price on the phone. When I get there they charge me a higher price but then did offer to refund the difference when I returned it. I went with Wolverine because of the location in proximity to my travels. Looking back that was a bad decision. The coring bit they gave me was dull and it took literally 1 hour to cut 2.5" deep. I called and was told that is all they had and that is just how well it cuts. I knew this was not right so I rented a bit from another place. With the other bit I cut the additional 7.5" in 12 minutes. I wasted 3 hours because of the dull bit and getting a new one. And had to pay for the other bit as well. Wolverine was belligerent about the matter and begrudgingly only refunded the cost of the bit. I asked about the 3 hours of my time that was wasted and was told that is the best they would give me. Come on this was 1/2 day rental of a drill and you can't even make the situation right when you give out bad equipment. I would recommend you save your time and go somewhere that you can get good equipment and good customer service. read more

I wanted to reiterate a great experience buying a tractor at wolverine rental. They made it a breeze even though I had distance and time to travel. Wolverine rocks! I rented some equipment for digging post holes. They instructed me on how to use the equipment properly and warned me not to get auger stuck in the dirt. Unfortunately, on the last hole, the auger stuck a band of clay and was stuck in the ground. They made great suggestions for how to remove the auger, but it was not budging. I was able to get my neighbor to extract the auger with a back hoe. Mark and the guys at Wolverine were very understanding about my predicament. Everyone there was great! read more

one of the most unpleasant experience I ever had with this company. zero costumer service, rude, and unprofessional. not to add that they will rent out your tolls to someone, even if you have reserved it in advance. I prepped for weeks for my project and when it came to getting the tools, they have given it away to someone else. read more

Unfortunately, we will no longer do ANY business with Wolverine after the HORRIFIC service we received on our Kubota tractor!! A bad thermostat (provided from the manufacturer) led us down a 'rabbit hole' of other labor and replacement part expenses, in addition to keeping our much needed tractor out of commission for three weeks. Hydraulic hoses were shabbily replaced and my husband was given a 'hydraulic oil' enema when the poor installation caused a line failure in the field (the following day after getting our tractor back!!). When we brought the issue (and the receipts to Wolverine, they gave us a 5 gallon bucket of hydraulic fluid (which my husband had already replaced in the field when he replaced the incorrectly installed hose). There was no effort to refund the labor or the price of the hydraulic hose that could not be reinstalled!! The following day the tractor demonstrated the same problem that Wolverine was unable to "fix", consequently, the tractor is now in an actual repair facility (and not a rental joint that does service). We also bought a brand new tractor from Archbold Equipment sales in Adrian, as Wolverine was quoting prices for the same tractor that was $3k more than what we ultimately paid in Adrian!!! I ALWAYS try to do business locally, however, I refuse to be 'ripped' off because I live in an area with an 'economically advantaged' demographic!!! read more
