I was searching for a smoothie/juice bar while I vacationed in Key West. I found Date & Thyme on Yelp, and walked from our hotel through the beautiful little neighborhood that surrounds the joint. Glad we walked, not much parking! The market is highly curated with such great brands. It was obvious someone was very passionate about high quality food, and loves the people of Key West. We stocked up on some goodies before the flight home. The food from the cafe was DELICIOUS! We went four days in a row. During our trip, we enjoyed the Pesto Garden Wrap with chicken (5/5), açaí bowl (4/5), berry bliss smoothie (5/5), and citrus C smoothie (3/5). Citrus C was good but strong on the ginger. Water is provided for free! When you stay and enjoy your smoothie outside, you almost get two cups worth. My daughter and I split both smoothies every visit. Some employees are more welcoming than others. We found when a very sweet blonde girl (maybe the owner?) was there, everyone was on the same page. Please take the time and enjoy this little gem! The store had organic fruit and veggies, healthy drinks, snacks, and earth friendly products, There is only outdoor seating, 1 bathroom, and a few parking spots available to pull in (not street parallel parking). Also get greeted by Roosters that are everywhere in Key West. Had the island mocha with almond milk and 1 shot of Expresso. Was lighter in the mocha and had hint of coconut. Was very smooth and light. Had the Breakfast bagel and requested no onions. Layered with eggs, avocado, spinach, and tomato. The mayo herb was light and gave it a more earthy fresh taste. Update: the owners comment clearly shows they are not aware of how celiac works. Yes there is an option to switch out the bread but what about all the other ingredients that may have gluten. I couldn't order anything that I didn't truly know was GF. To be safe, each menu item should indicate whether all the ingredients can be gf or not. And it wasn't just one ant. It was a ton of them on the building wall where we ate. If chips didn't come with the sandwich, then the cashiers should have said something. Like I mentioned, just not knowledgeable. I gave a 3 star but will be changing based on the owners rude comment back. The menu is very vegetarian friendly but does not list what can be made GF. I played it safe as the cashiers weren't really knowledgeable. She did put gluten allergy on the ticket but I had to find the chips in store that came with my sandwich to confirm GF. I ordered a chai latte, PB&J on GF toast. The food was brought out without chips but the guy said he could bring some out. I confirmed they were GF on the package so wasn't sure why they didn't come with the sandwich. Also, there is seating outside and where we sat there were a lot of ants on the side of the building. Such a delightful restaurant/grocery store. The food is glorious (high quality, tasty, expertly prepared) but the people working here are pitch perfect in their humanity. Beyond their routine of care and presence, they helped a customer who took a hard fall outside the cafe. Customers helped, too, but the waitstaff showed up with compassion, concern, ice and bandages. I'm sorry someone trip and fell hard, but it was wonderful to watch the care for this person and their friends. Great vegan food on the island! Got breakfast here 2 mornings in a row. We ate outside on the 'patio'. Tried a variety of vegan dishes and I was impressed by all. Loved their veggie garden pesto wrap as my favorite dish! Another favorite is their vegan blueberry muffin. So moist and full of berries. Service was friendly! Food was quick! Parking in front. This place is a hidden gem! Thank god they have parking for their customers because I don't live in key west and it's always a mission to find parking in this particular area. First time I came here I missed the cut off time for when the cafe stops selling food (off the menu) so I opted to get one of the premade packages from inside the refrigerators. It was delish and some stuff was even on sale so that was nice too. I will say, since there isn't a Whole Foods or Sprouts down here in the Keys, the market here is the closest thing to it and I really appreciate this place for giving us organic and healthy options that is so needed in the keys. Publix and Winn-Dixie have such limited stock of these items and this market is a goldmine for finding the products that align with my lifestyle and dietary restricts (GF). Thank you so much for carrying the products you do!!! Second time I stopped by I made it in time to order off the menu and opted for the Jerk wrap. Overall it was good but my personal opinion... I will order with extra sauce next time. I felt it was a bit dry for all the veggies in it! But the flavors were good and I would order it again! Between the market and the cafe, this place is great. One of the few places that have some parking for you. Limited space but some is better than none. All seatings are outdoor. Go into the market and there is a small shelf for the menu across from the register. You order at the register and wait outside for your name to be called for the order. I'm glad they are here to provide vegan/veggie food options. Got the breakfast wrap: 4.5 stars. Surprisingly delicious despite simple ingredients. Thin wrap so I can actually taste the food besides the wrap. The pico de gallo made the whole wrap tasted so good. Everything was just right. I really enjoyed it. Eggs, salad, pico de gallo, avocado. Pina colada smoothie with protein powder: well done. Berry bliss with spirulina and plant based protein: pretty good. Love the healthy ingredients and options for boost. I've been to date & thyme almost everyday that I've been in key west. Their smoothies are so good and full of good ingredients. My favorite so far has been the strawberries & cream smoothie. I've also been looking for a good latte and date & thyme has the best! This week I tried the teddy bear latte and the s'mores latte. The teddy bear was my favorite! This is an authentic healthy food restaurant and store in downtown Key West. The preparation of the food is excellent and very tasty, while being nutritious. Ahhhh.... when you find this place while in vacation, you'll go back multiple times. A cute little outside sitting and inside is an organic everything. They have ready made delicious healthy items and made to order as well. Celebrating our 39 year anniversary, the day before was lots of drinking.. lol.. which we do not practice that much back home. Hahaha.. So... my stomach was not well the next morning. Needed a juice to settle it. When we found that hidden little place, I knew my day is saved and I would feel better to carry on with our vacation. I ordered the Gold Milk and their breakfast bagel. My husband ordered a smoothie with pineapple and same breakfast bagel. Wow, what a great breakfast, the bagel was soft and fresh, the eggs, avocado, and spinach and their drizzle of whatever that was made this bagel one of the best ones we've had in quite awhile. The drink immediately soothed me with its warm turmeric, and the bagels were superbly delicious that we came back the next day to have the same. Don't forget to stop here, you won't get disappointed! would choose to have a date here any thyme i'm in key west. yay for plenty of vegan options. vacationing as a vegan can be rough. before we booked our trip my partner made sure there would be some vegan options and date&thyme was our first stop. the first day we arrived after 2 so the cafe was closed but we were able to grab some awesome deli style items from the fridge. we loved the broccoli salad, dragon tofu, indian summer, and asian dragon salad. later in the week we caught a morning vinyasa class at key west yoga sanctuary then popped over to date & thyme. we got two smoothies: strawberries & cream and purple jungle. i preferred the strawberries & cream. it was not overly sweet making it a refreshing choice. we also got the chicken club but make it vegan with tempeh on a wrap and the breakfast wrap. the tempeh was very salty and flavorful. the breakfast wrap didn't feel very breakfasty to me. it was very similar to my chicken club wrap. we could barely tell difference. i would love to see some tofu scramble somewhere in the breakfast items. we were super impressed with the deli items but the cafe items not so much. but i'd still give 5 stars for the vegan abundance. read more

We were unaware that the Kitchen closes at 2pm so by the time we could find parking it was a few minutes before 2pm. I am not a vegan and normally need a few minutes with the menu to find something I can eat but since we are at the 45 second mark, my wife says veggie wrap. The cashier said "spring roll"?? What a wonderful find just a few blocks off Duval , their food was tasty, fresh and made to order while we waited, lots of healthy options, (fresh fruits and veggies were being delivered while we were there), nothing processed just fresh as fresh as you can imagine and the taste defines it! A must visit while in Key West! Following a motto of clean eating, this cozy spot offers a variety of delicious, healthy and filling breakfast and lunch options. The meals have fresh ingredients, generous portions, and keep you energized for the rest of the day. There are multiple vegetarian and vegan options. Pricing is also very reasonable. We loved it so much, we visited two days in a row! I really enjoyed their peanut butter and banana smoothie "Happy Monkey", which was so smooth but rich and nutty. My top favorite though was their coleslaw, which is included as a side for their lunch wraps. With a mix of kale, shredded carrot, cabbage, walnuts, goji berries, cranberries and much more, the slaw had a satisfying crunch and the sweet and salty flavors were very refreshing. There is a small convenience store as well, stocked with some pre-packaged food items, as well as snacks, supplements, and some groceries. I also want to commend them on the creative measures placed for social distancing due to COVID-19. Outdoor seating only, and the number of people allowed inside to order was strictly limited.
