    Kapow tofu

This area is actually Virginia, in a confluence of three states where VA would have been my last guess if I woke up here wondering where I was. This restaurant is separate from the downtown stretch and has an airy interior with plenty of light. It is notable for having a vegan-friendly menu. My tofu was deep-fried and quite crispy and I enjoyed it texturally. I didn't ask them for the highest spice level; the default was noticeable but I'd ask for more if I had another shot at it. After being told that the other tea drinks were powder-based and the Thai iced tea was freshly made, I opted for that and it was a robustly flavored way to wash things down. Harpers Ferry and the surrounding area doesn't have a ton of places like this, so crossing state lines was easily worthwhile for me.

A GEM of a culinary delight! Everything was amazing! My daughter and i stopped in here on a whim, after a day of shopping, and were not disappointed. Very friendly service and fresh made dishes, served hot. Presentation was beautiful The restaurant is small and run out of a converted home, very quaint but clean. Definitely worth the drive!

I was very excited to try this well-rated Thai restaurant during our stay in Lovettesville, and I really enjoyed the food! The food was very fresh, piping hot, and flavorful. My favorite was the Tom Kha soup. Of the food we ordered, the Tom Kha stood out as especially delicious. The rest of the dishes were solid but not stand-out amazing. I enjoyed the red curry with tofu. My partner loved the shrimp taco appetizer. He thought the crispy shrimp pad Thai was just okay. The prices were high for the dishes. One weird thing on the menu is that the basic Red Curry is marked as $15, but if you want veggies or tofu it's $2 extra?? Normally veggies or tofu are included in the base price and then maybe shrimp would be extra. Why not just put the base price at $17? Either way, $17 dollars is expensive for curry with tofu. However, the portions were very big. We couldn't finish our meals. Overall, a good restaurant, a solid 4/5.

We were looking for a place to eat near the wineries and everything was becoming absolutely packed. Luckily this restaurant popped up and it was DELICIOUS. They have really great selections for wine and a bunch of apps that are great to pass around and share.

Checked in to this thai restaurant. Very authentic thai food. The Thai tea is the best here. I have not like Thai tea in most of the places but this one you will have to try it. The drunken noodles is good as well. The broccoli soup is great.

Not really. Since Covid situation, everything have changed…but now our dining room ready to serve our customer again..;))

Is this place under new management? How does the new place compare in terms of food and service? I experienced long wait times at Thaiverse and it was pretty pricey.

Yes, it is a new management.

Our server, who was super friendly, came out right away to take our drink order. The menu is a bit extensive and everything sounds delicious, so we definitely had questions for him. In the end, I ended up settling for the braised beef Khao Soi, which is a northern Thai specialty and hard to find in most Thai restaurants. When I see it on the menu, I bypass my usual dishes and have to try it. The Khao Soi broth was absolutely delicious and flavorful with a good kick of spiciness. The beef was tender (they also make the dish with chicken but it's thigh and leg, so I went for the beef). Overall, no regrets ordering the Khao Soi. My companion had the Pad Thai with pork and it was equally delicious! This restaurant uses thinner noodles for their Pad Thai but it made no difference; it was great! There's plenty of street parking (enforced M-F until 5pm). Don't miss this spot, which also has sister restaurants in Staunton and Culpeper, VA and a couple other locations in West Virginia.

If a place delivers flavorful food, solid execution, and a meal that makes you want to come back, that earns a strong rating from me. We recently visited Patama Thai Kitchen and had a very enjoyable meal overall. The pho was good, comforting, and satisfying. The broth had nice flavor and made for a solid start to the meal. The beef and broccoli was also well done. The beef was tender, the vegetables were cooked properly, and the dish came together nicely without being overly heavy. The fried rice was enjoyable, though in my opinion it could have used just a touch more seasoning to really make it pop. Still a good dish, just one small adjustment away from being excellent. The Yum Yum noodles were one of the highlights of the meal. They were very good, light, flavorful, and had a nice balance that kept the dish from feeling overly rich. Overall, this was a very solid experience with multiple dishes we enjoyed and no major misses. That is always a good sign. A solid 4 stars from me, and we will definitely be going back.

We walked through the little bar to the interesting and well-appointed dining room. I ordered a Singha beer and my wife got her standard Thai iced tea, very well made here. We split an appetizer of delicious crispy firecracker shrimp. She got her favorite, Pad Thai with shrimp, and I got mine, creamy green curry with chicken (I chose a 3 out of 4 on spiciness, which was close to my limit!). Both were terrific, As always, the service was efficient and polite. We haven't tried this place for carryout yet, because I think we just like sitting there so much. We were here for an early dinner on Saturday. Once we were greeted, we were told to pick where we wanted to sit. As other Yelpers mentioned, the dining area is small. We sat at a two-top next to another couple, who were clearly regular customers. After we looked at the menu and decided what we wanted, our server arrived promptly. For a starter, we both ordered "vegetable and tofu soup," which consists of "mixed vegetables and tofu in light broth topped with fried garlic and scallions." Sadly, it arrived at the table with no "fried garlic", but still had good flavor. We liked the variety of veggies: baby corn, broccoli, cabbage, snow peas, and carrots. We both thought that the broth could have been a bit more flavorful. To drink, I ordered a Thai iced tea, which was well made. My husband had a light beer. For my main course, I got "lava chicken". I asked if this dish had white meat, and our server said "yes". It consists of "lightly battered chicken stir-fry with sweet chili sauce, topped with scallions and carrots." I had never seen this dish on any Thai restaurant menu before. I would order it again; the sweet chili sauce had a little kick, which I didn't mind. The portion was huge! I took the leftovers home, and we ate them for dinner last night. The dish was still as flavorful as if we had just ordered it. My husband got the "cashew" entree and added shrimp for his protein. Besides the shrimp, the dish consists of "stir-fried cashews, scallions, onions, and carrots in sweet chili paste sauce." Both dishes were served with white rice. Thinking about the food we had, I told my husband it was made with love. His dish was very attractive-looking. In fact, the couple sitting next to us asked my husband about his dish and if he liked it. The server offered us a portion of ice cream; it had a great flavor. Every staff member we interacted with was very polite and friendly. One of them, an older man, insisted on boxing up my leftovers. I wouldn't have minded doing it myself. It was a nice gesture. When we left, the staff wished us a good evening, and we returned the greeting. We let them know that we will be back. Some things to know: they have quite a few tables outside. The restaurant is hard to see because it is set back from the main parking lot. If you see Qdoba, Thaitastic is a short walk around the corner. There is parking in the rear, too.
