Grabbed lunch with a friend today for a quick catch up. We got the edamame and spring rolls as our app to start. Both were delicious! I decided to try drunken noodles for the first time! There are basically 2 Thai places in this town. Finn is the best. This visit was for lunch and we took advantage of the lunch specials. Prices range from $14-$16(added $1 for beef). The lunch special came with a full green salad with a light Thai dressing. I did wish the salad came before the meal but the meal arrived so quickly. My order of the chili basil beef was very filling. A large portion of white rice and 2 fresh broccoli florets on the same plate as a generous portion of chili beef. Everything was served hot and fresh. Staff was great. It can get quite busy at lunch but service is very quick. read more

The service was horrible tonight! The staff was extremely rude and didn't even take our names for seating. We waited about 20 min without being acknowledged, actually pushed out of the way by a rude waitress twice! She was awful & mean! My son really wanted to eat here & promised I'd take him all week, so tried to remain calm. I did notice a sign on the door looking for a hostess but didn't expect we'd be totally ignored. We ended seating ourselves at the bar out of desperation. The food is always great and the guys at bar were very sweet and accommodating. Hopefully they're able to locate help soon! PANANG DUCK!!!! My family came for dinner before a play and loved every dish. The panang duck was incredible while the beef and drunken noodle was much appreciated by my husband. Our server was very attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. She made recommendations and even suggested pairings. We enjoyed the food so much we didn't take pictures. Favorite local restaurant, probably get take out from there every two weeks. They have gotten really pricey after the remodel. Beef entree was over $21 with tax for carryout. They do give an 8% cash discount, probably to avoid the tax themselves. Lol! read more

We frequent this place quite often for takeout but a couple times we've had issues and when they can't get the rice correct and you have to cook your own rice so they're spending $40 it's really a shame. I called the restaurant and the responses oh well sometimes we add too much water to the rice no kidding. Then ypu can't get the rice correct its a problem. read more

Wow wow wow wow Wow what an amazing experience! Wow what delicious food and drink! Wow what a lovely atmosphere. Wow what a knowledgeable, friendly and dedicated staff! We had, as you can tell, a great experience at Finn Thai restaurant. Firstly the staff and greeters were so welcoming and made us feel so comfortable as we came in. The atmosphere was so peaceful and cozy. We ordered Thai tea, their Thai beer, the Finn Roll, the Crab Fried Rice, the Panang Curry, and finally my order and my favorite thing we had The Pineapple Fried Rice special for the night. The flavor and texture and temperature was perfect on everything. I am very excited to be back again soon. Thank you Finn Thai for making my birthday dinner so special and memorable! read more

We ordered carry out (repeated order no less then 4 times) and they managed to get it wrong. When I called they couldn't care less. We also noticed that they have raised their prices by ~37%, absolutely ridiculous. In the past we ate there regularly, not anymore. read more

Great service and great Thai food. I used to go to their Reston location, and the Purcellville is just as good as that one which I was very happy about. Its a small parking lot but the restaurant is actually decent sized inside and has a nice ambiance- not too loud and very comfortable. Our server was fantastic- everything came quickly exactly as we ordered it and she made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The food is very good- I had the fried rice combo which included good portions of all three meats and had lots of flavor- plus more than enough for a lunch. Food is still okay. But the prices are ridiculous for what it is. We had carry out for three with one appetizer to share and it came to almost $80 without any drinks. There was no updated menu with the current prices available so that we could see what the meal would cost. We probably won't be ordering carry out from Finn Thai again. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. The manager was not willing to make any concessions for payment when their computers were down. I waited around 20 minutes to pay via credit card while my food sat there ready to go because I didn't have cash and couldn't access cash at the atm because I didn't have my debit card with me.i happened to have a check on me and asked if they would accept that so i could take my food and she didn't even give it a thought before she abruptly said no. I am a loyal customer and order a lot from them and rather than be understanding in this situation and let me have my food and pay over the phone later they would rather waste my food and throw it in the trash and lose a loyal customer. I will never return to this restaurant and I will no longer provide recommendations to friends and family. I used to rave about this place. What a waste of my food and waste of a loyal customer. This cozy restaurant is so nice! My friends and I took a spontaneous road trip to Finn Thai. We are from Maryland and took the hour and change journey for some delicious Thai cuisine. My friend had been there a few times already and loved it! We all dined in and ordered extra meals to take home. The ambiance is sooo cozy! Very warm and inviting. The decor was rather quaint, with old books lining the walls. The waitress was very kind and hospitable. We all started with soups, as it was quite cold outside. Two of us had the Tom Kha while another had the lemon grass soup. It was so Devine! The flavors of the soups showed the time and effort it took to simmer everything together. All three of us had the lobster fried rice. It was quite tasty, although the lobster didn't taste super duper fresh (if you ever had a top notch lobster roll, you'd understand what I'm saying). But I do want to stress that it was pretty good. One of my friends got the ginger beef. I didn't taste it, but you could tell that it was so tender and perfect. I would definitely order that when we go again! For my to-go dish, I ordered pad Thai. I read somewhere that pad Thai should be eaten fresh. I should've ate that dish at the restaurant because when I warmed it up the next day, it wasn't palatable at all. The noodles were disappointingly dry. This wasn't the restaurant's fault, though. I just know that I'll eat pad Thai fresh from now on. All in all, the ambiance of this place will make you fall in love. The people were warm and friendly. If you want to take a little trip to VA for some tasty Thai cuisine, by all means, go to Finn Thai first! read more

My wife and I have been patrons of this place for seven years. I don't know what changed, but our experience tonight was a monumental disappointment. Our favorite appetizer was unrecognizable. The main courses were a far cry from the enjoyable cuisine of the past. The only positive was that the sushi is still quite good. The service was abysmal, yet there were only three parties in the entire place on a Saturday night at 6:00 PM. Big red flag. In previous years we always commented on how busy the take-out was. Now...one pick-up in two hours. I walked away mad about how much we paid for something that was no better than garbage Chinese take-out. We won't be returning. read more

Finn Thai was a great experience for us. We eat Thai fairly often, and this ranked right up there with the best. My Panang Curry Chicken was excellent, chicken was tender and plentiful, peanut sauce was a great balance of sweet and heat. My wife and daughter both had Pad Thai and really liked it...noodles were cooked just right, generous amounts of chicken/shrimp, seasoning just right. We made a reservation for a group of eight tonight. They seated us immediately and it was clear that this is a popular joint as it was packed. I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken, requested spicy. They were so piping hot when they came out, I needed to let them cool down a little before consuming. They were very fresh and delicious. I sampled a friend's drunken noodles with beef and they too were very good. I brought half my dinner home; it was a generous portion. The service was excellent. This is a friend's favorite place and I can see why. I look forward to future meals here. read more

Enjoyed a great meal at Finn Thai Purcellville on Saturday - great food, great service, great atmosphere. We started with the crab/pork steamed dumplings (5 - delicious), and then followed with assorted sushi and split an order of Panang Curry. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. I wish they had a better wine list (they offer standard house wines, basically red or white with the usual selections) and had more salad options for appetizers or side dishes - like papaya salad, my Thai favorite. A group of 14 of us came in here for dinner on a Saturday evening with no reservation - we had to wait about 25 minutes for them to get some some tables to open up - but they managed it and did so efficiently and cheerfully, despite the hungry grumblings of a few in our group. The wait staff was wonderful. We enjoyed our server very much. She had no problem with our table of 14. I ordered a Thai lager and a glass of water with lime, plus a bowl of Lemongrass soup (extra spicy), and the Drunken Noodles and the regular heat level - which they claim is "Thai spicy." My soup was very good, as was the Drunken Noodles. The beer was so-so, but I am not a fan of Lagers (this one was a Pale Lager). Everyone in the group enjoyed their meals! Oh, this place is IT. My brother and I ordered from here for our family--seafood green curry, shrimp pad thai, shrimp pad see ew, calamari, spring rolls, thai iced coffee, and thai iced tea. Everything was perfectly flavored, and they don't skimp on the shrimp! I personally had the pad see ew, and I'm pretty picky about my chow fun, but they did it RIGHT--not too thick, not under/overcooked, nor bland. My only qualm is that it shouldn't be served with broccoli (the texture doesn't complement the noodles). The shrimp pad thai, calamari, and thai iced tea were great as well; all in all, this is the best Thai food I've had in a while. read more
