It's me. I'm that person. And that's why I've shopped at Chef City for years. Chef City has been there for me when I needed a good knife; a deep-fryer; a set of mixing bowls; and an 80-quart stock pot with a basket, for boiling crawfish. But "need" has played a very small part in my relationship with the place. Just as no one needs cocaine, I don't need most of the very cool stuff that Chef City sells. Nonetheless, I'd buy a lot of it, just to have it, and the fact that I don't is less a result of rational thought than of my fear of damaging of my marriage. The store doesn't always have what I want, but the staff is always accommodating, and, adorably, when I show up with a difficult-to-meet requirement, I get the sense that they really hope they can help. "Adorable." Yep, that's what I said. And I promise you that no one has ever referred to anyone at Amazon - from Bezos to the delivery driver - that way.

No biggie...for the price it was worth the purchase. Fun to just walk up and down every isle to see all they have.

Most merchandise is wonderful quality and lasts for a reason. Great to go to for starting out after a fresh move too! They have wonderful tag color day sales too, so if something is out of budget you can always wait until said tag color day to score a deal. The staff here is incredibly welcoming and kind! Everyone is extremely knowledgeable too, so if you have any questions, they definitely will help to find the answers. Also they have their own parking lot, in PB too, so it's definitely easy to get here!

We picked up coffee, banana chocolate chip bread, fried catfish and tamales from each of the vendor. We skipped the cheesecake and bread vendor. Few round tables under a tent in the middle. After we ate, we went inside the store. The store sells gently used kitchen items, even dining tables! Very clean, organized and great stuff! If you're eyeing something, wait for the discount days. Depending on the day/week they have 50% off tags. Today was green tag. Monday (senior) and Tuesday (military) gets 15% discount. They have candle making class on Wednesday 2-3pm. Seems like for retired folks because I'm not sure how someone with a 9-5 job could attend these workshops like myself. All sales support Kitchen for Good that offer apprenticeships culinary and baking programs. Don't forget to check out volunteer opportunities.
