Some friends recently moved to Denver, so we went out to celebrate. The experience we had was piss poor. Sat at a table and we had to find the server--no server came to find us. She seemed bothered that we "wasted her time". (no nametag, no introduction) I ordered the $15.99 "Eat 'N Play" combo--Chicken Fingers & Fries. After 30 minutes, my food had not surfaced (others in the party got appetizers only and had resumed game playing). Not once did the server stop by to see what was up or see if we needed more drinks. We weren't even offered water to go with the meal. And this was with no one else seated in our section and about three people at the bar. When she finally came waltzing by with her nonchalant attitude, I asked her what was wrong. Apparently, the order never got put in. Nothing was done in terms of comping the problem. No manager ever came to stop by the table. When my bill came, it was for $22.23. How does $15.99+tax come to $22.23? Additionally, they tried to throw everything onto one party member's bill, despite the fact they knew we were paying separately and had held everyone's card. I tipped a total of about $3.50 on my $52 in purchases, which was probably $3.50 more than they deserved. However, as someone who works for tips, I feel dirty for stiffing. I'll also note at about 11PM, I saw a little girl who looked about 7 at best running around. So much for being 21+ after 10 PM. Last time I was there, I was given an itemized receipt with a survey to call regarding my experience. Interestingly, this time, no itemized receipt nor survey invite came with the bill. I was looking to drop quite a bit of money into this place, but the people working weren't interested in our business. Dave and Busters could be a really fun place. The environment is definitely there, but unfortunately, your help reflects an attitude of indifference. I have 3,000 tickets and 100 game credits on my card and I probably won't go back to finish them off. ETA: I received a letter in the mail yesterday from their corporate office. The music is BLARING, the TVS are the same scale as the ones in Times Square, just as loud and as bright. The place is filled with machines that will take your money. The drinks are weak and sweet and there are no prices listed on the menu! Still, for some bizarre reason, the food is really good. It shouldn't be, but it is. Steaks, Salmon, Ribs, Burgers, Salads. You can actually eat healthy here- the salads are awesome!! The Lawn Mower Salad, a take on a Chop, is amazing!! When you are in the mood for games, zombie-killing, car-racing, hoop-throwing- this IS THE PLACE! Take out a second mortgage and just enjoy! Why, why, why must every company I have ever worked for or project I have been on do the obligatory D & B "team building" event. OK, it isn't terrible, but it is NEVER that fun. First off the food is just so-so (and for what it is, its not cheap). I have had the Mexican Buffets, the salads, a burger and they are all fine, but nothing great. Then there are the games. OK - why is it necessary to put all the games on full blast (well OK maybe games don't have a volume switch), but it is so loud in the game room you can't hear anyone and everyone just ends up yelling at each other. Then the actual games - again not a gamer - but it is clear that the place is for an altogether younger crowd. The last team event we actually had big groups that had to play several games together. Fine, but it was 40 people standing around yelling at each other waiting for their turn....I guess I don't get it! If you want some good bar food....skip it....if you just have to play Skee-ball with your meal, then maybe this is the place for you. read more

There are several different sections to the establishment so if you don't like one, just move on over to the next one. There's the fancy pants restaurant, swank bar, divey pool tables and shuffleboard and the bling-bling of the video game room. If you came as a group, be prepared to split up as everyone will be drawn in different directions. I prefer to Skee-Ball to anything else and luckily, that takes the fewest "tokens" to play. I took my parents there and after a nice dinner of pasta, cheese steaks, mini burgers and mini buffalo chicken sandwiches (yum!) we all headed in to play some games. I wasn't sure how they'd handle a "bar" atmosphere, but they didn't even flinch! Dad liked the driving games and Skee-Ball and Mom turned into a maniac trying to knock coins over the ledge to win tickets! It was fun to chase them around reminding them not to waste their money. Revision on my previously glowing 5star review- With just 19 days notice, a sales rep from Dave and Buster's called and told me they could not host my 200-person event- an event I had contracted with them 11 months prior and had paid the deposit. She said they had construction going on. I understand that construction happens, but they could have given me more than 19 days notice! They could have been proactive and told me 6 or 8 weeks before my event that their remodel was taking longer than expected. And then the manager kept calling and calling to see if there was anything they could do. What could they do???? If you can't host my event like promised, then stop calling me! I had to find another venue and rearrange everything in less than 2 weeks: not fun! It took 3 weeks for Dave and Buster's to refund the deposit. Hope that remodeled space brings in new customers for them, because they just lost this repeat customer for good. read more

What happened to you D&B? Are you having an identity crisis? Methinks, yes. Yes, you went through an massive update, and look pretty cool, but a night club? no thanks. We were there for a corporate event in the private dining area. I would give this area 4 stars, for the service, not so much the food. They did a good job of working through the event. The rest of the place gets a 1. Its crazy noisy, not just in the game room, but the whole place. It is not a place for a date in my view. The other weird dynamic is people bringing their little kids there at all hours. Saw a couple dressed to the nines, pushing their stroller in at 1030pm with their kids yelling and screaming. And it just wasn't one person. People can do what they want to do, but seems odd. I think D&B is a great place to bring kids in the daytime cause they can cut loose, but after 10pm? I loved the design and layout of this Dave and Busters. It was very sleek and upscale. From the bar, to the mini theatre, to then various game rooms I really enjoyed my time here. The menu looked extremely appetizing. They had a variety of dishes on the menu that looked great. I tried the steak and shrimp pasta and was pleasantly surprised at the yummy flavor! It was cooked well and the food came out hot and fast. They had a meal/play deal that was neat. So when you got food you could also get a $10 power card. They had a lot of good games but they were a tad pricy. Some games were like 18 points which was a tad ridiculous. Also the prizes / ticket ratio was ridiculous . It was like 200 tickets just for some candy. I don't know if that's standard for most game places but I found that ridiculous . I'd still be back though, there was free parking! read more

I came here with my two kids because I had tickets left over from the Arvada location. It was a nightmare. Over half of the games we tried to play were completely broken. We dropped $20 on three VR tickets, and spent over half of our time trying to troubleshoot why the VR system would not work. I went to the counter to try to get a refund for some of the tokens that the broken machines had eaten, but they only refunded me 30 tokens and just kind of shrugged. Avoid this location. Okay so I can definitely that the staff has great personality and what seems to be enthusiasm. But as for there actual performance it seemed to be nonexistent. I think the there whole open dining is pretty cool with the exception that there needs to be clean tables when doing so. Our server lagged longer than the 2000 presidential Florida recount. Oh and once our appetizers finally arrived I may of been better of sneaking in snacks in my pockets. So yea, that part blowed.. Other than that the games with a few drinks on deck turned the night around quick. Will I go back? probably yes. Why you might ask after such a low rating? because the night we attended was Valentines 2020 so that might of been a reason for the slow and lack attention to detail with there dining facility. I've been to a couple D & B's now and this one is way better than the one I typically go to when I am back home in the Bay Area! For one, this place is a lot more spacious & a lot less crowded (and also less full of rachet folks - the Milpitas location once had a gun fight outside in their parking lot). They have a really yummy cherry mojito that I recommend everyone getting! It's a tad on the sweet side but is really easy to drink & was totally enjoyable. They have great happy hour deals where their cocktails are all 1/2 off! They have tons of games inside including: -Mario Kart -4 way table hockey -not DDR but a dance game similar to it -jump rope game -ski ball -basketball hoop game-both for adults & kids -Deal or No Deal game -Trivia game They also have a theatre room, private party room, billiards area, dining area & then the arcade area. You can save your tickets onto your card and rack up tickets for later. Tickets can even be traded in for desserts like key lime pie or doughnuts holes. Great place to hang out with friends. Games can be a little costly, so I'd recommend coming on a Wednesday when they have 1/2 off games. Food is not bad, they have a variety of choices from burgers to steak. It can be little pricey for the quality. We had the smothered tater tots, which are just basically covered with cheese and bacon.. they don't put a ton of cheese on it, which is actually what I'd prefer. However, it wasn't anything spectacular.. just tater tots. Also had the hamburger with macaroni.. again just your typical burger with some cheesy macaroni. Honestly.. I wouldn't come here for the food, you can probably find something better for a better price somewhere else, but if you're already here and hungry... the food isn't terrible. I had a blast at this place! The games were sooo fun!! It was also filled with people and the music was fun to dance to. That is the one and only reason why I am giving two starts instead of 1. The bartender, Erica, is one memorable bartender. She was incredibly rude and snarky to us the entire time. She took forever to even acknowledge us. I get it, you're busy and the bar is starting to fill, but acknowledge your guests. A simple, "I'll be right with you," would have sufficed. Finally, she took our orders like it was an opposition based on her grimace and body language. Then, we went about our night and came back for some water and she about threw a fit. I asked her if everything was alright because it was just water. Then she snapped at me as if it was my fault to have ordered water. I'm sorry but if you hate your job so much, why work around people on a Friday night? Well this sort of thing continued the whole night. She made rude remarks towards us and keep sneering our way as she was taking to the other bartenders. We spoke with Bar, the manager, explaining how our bartender was treating us. She was polite and listened but didn't really seem to fix anything. I hope this review comes to you all well. I am not trying to be mean, but state facts about our experience which was awful. I feel like everytime someone says "Hey Brian, let's go to Dave and Busters" I experience range of thoughts that go something like this. Oh man, that sounds like fun. Wait, you haven't been to D&B in a while, why is that? Hmmm... I don't remember it being all that great last time. That was a while ago, maybe this time it will be fun! Wait several years and.... repeat. I got suckered into going this last time to go watch the Mayweather & Canelo fight with some friends as they had set aside the back rooms for the event. The included appetizers (flat rate for viewing, apps, some beer) were pretty sad looking. Sad like I forked out even more money for "real food". Too bad the real food, wasn't that much better. I ordered a caesar salad that looked good on the menu. I always get tricked by food photography. My salad arrived with most of the lettuce in advanced stages of wilting. Several pieces were actually spoiled and black. meh. They get a 2nd star though because our group did manage to have some fun in the arcade section post fight. What's crazy to me though is more and more they're adapting phone games (Angry birds, fruit ninja, etc...) for the arcade. I guess it makes sense right? We want bright colorful games, that are easy to pick up, and can hold your attention for a minute before demanding more tokens. 4500 tickets later, we're able to go trade those suckers in for a serious dose of sugar at the redemption booth. D & B always finds a way to bring my inner kid out! My wife and I have been to this location a total of 5 times, and haven't had a bad time. The occasion can b days, afternoon fun day or just a place to kick it with friends. This place isn't a 5 star dining establishment, so I find all of these negative reviews hilarious when they complain about the quality of the food not being on par with a Bobby Flay VIP session. Same goes for comments, like "it was to noisy" or "people were having to much fun and being to loud", ITS AN ARCADE!!!! The food is pretty good for what it is, especially the chicken and shrimp Rockefeller. I personally have never had an issue with service or my experience. Coupons are always available online for free food or extra game play points, so keep and eye out. Military discount is also available. I always have fun here because I know that I am going to get a good meal, some drinks and most importantly, HAVE FUN!. read more

There will be a wait line for the arcade I personally waited an hour and a half, and some games are closed for social distancing. The food is not so great, but it's better than Chuck E. Cheese. And, you will probably blow 50 bucks on games to win a $2 stuffed animal. But, let's face it, you knew what you were getting yourself into. It's just a fun place to go occasionally and have some drinks and play some games with friends. My one major complaint about this place would be parking. There is no clear place to park for D&B. There is a parking garage that says specifically which businesses you may park there to patronize (D&B is not one of them) and then there is RTD parking, but I am assuming you are supposed to pay for it or are limited to a # of hours or something because there were meter-maids all over it. I have been a few times. At least two times we wanted to eat in the restaurant first and both times there was no one around and no one to seat us. The bartender tells us to seat ourselves but then the wait staff doesn't pay attention to us. All the kids running around can be a big turn-off. This shouldn't be chuck e cheese but I get the impression that some parents sit at one of the outside bars and just let the kids run wild. We have never had a great experince-just so-so. read more

When we spoke to the staff outside, no one told us there was another line inside. Honestly I haven't been a fan in a very long time. But, I've gone a few times in recent years due to grandkids and nieces/nephews. The games are okay, but the food, blech. I ordered the least offensive thing for me and it was about what I expected. I ate half a sandwich and I was done. But by the far the last time we were there, a party of 10, 5 of whom were kids. There were young kids present and our server kept calling the refills of Coca-Cola, "cocaine", which was a weird thing to say once or twice, but by the third time, we were all annoyed and offended. And the server seemed unwilling to research a drink's contents when asked if a beverage contained pineapple or not due to an allergy. The server answered, "I don't make the drinks, I only bring them out." Well gee, thanks sir. This is a great place to just let loose and be a teen again. I wasn't too concerned about getting tickets (because I'm not 10 years old) so it was all just fun. They have a life sized connect four which was interesting, a life sized pacman game, air hockey of course, basketball and much more. Went on a Wednesday night and the dj was one of the best djs I'd ever listened to. He was rude when I asked him about where else he djs at but whatever. Ate at the bar in the front. The calamari was good they do fool you with the quantity by placing fried jalapeños and fries on the same plate so if you order that, beware. Ordered a strawberry Margarita,apparently it comes with strawberry ice cubes but they said they were out of them...overall apparently pretty good night. read more

Would rate 0 stars but yelp is too nice, this food was in the window for about an hour and even then the food was bad, and my server took a half hour to make it to our table.then there was some "deal" where you got wings and "unlimited" games, the wings were slightly seasoned chicken nuggets and there were almost no "blue" games and our very odd server was named "nature" and he was very slow with our drinks and our food, I got a drink from the menu and it only came with about half the things promised and it tasted very bad! The reason for the one star is due to the excessive loud music they play in the game room. It was a miserable experience but did not want to disappoint my kids. We left when our kids started complaining of the noise. I have been to plenty of bars and rock concerts. Never have I been to a place that was this noisy. I feel bad for the employees. Some kind of meat stuck to the bottom of my plate. I moved the plate, unbeknownst to me, and it spread across the entire table. It was very disconcerting. Food was cold. Cups and silverware were dirty. Waitress was fantastic! They covered our entire bill because of the problems we had. Please don't mistake us for people who eat all of their steak, complain about it being medium when they asked for medium rare, and expect to be comped a whole meal. I was finished eating when my mom and sister were finishing up and then we discovered the meat substance. One of the employees in the arcade opened the huge claw machine and was handing out stuffed animals for some reason. My little sister wanted to play the game next to it and was waiting patiently until the game was free. The employee asked my sister if she wanted something from the claw machine. Of course she said yes. After she handed my sister a stuffed animal from the inside of the game, she gave her a nasty look. I didn't appreciate that. Also, because of the mishap with the food at the table, they comped us 10 playing cards with $10 on them. They told us that when the cards ran out, we should find a manager and they would recharge them. Well, apparently when one of the kids went to recharge their cards, the employee told them that no one ever told us they would recharge the cards comped to us. The integrity of this business is 100% atrocious. For the employee to accuse us of lying is completely unacceptable. read more

My friends and I visited this location for my 18th birthday and right when we walked through the door she condescendingly said "I'm gonna have you see ALL of your IDs" her tone was completely inappropriate and rude. Extremely disappointed this evening with our visit to D & B. To our shock, the A/C was not working. It was so hot in the building that it was stifling. One person in our party needed to leave because they have asthma and could not breath properly. We felt so bad and were all going to leave too, but he insisted we stay and try to have fun. We should have left with our friend. It's impossible to have any fun when you're sweating profusely and the air is stagnant. Almost even worse was the DJ they had. The music was so loud that prizes in the Winner Circle were falling on the floor because the walls were vibrating. We felt so bad for the young woman, Lauren, working in that area. She was quiet apologetic to the entire situation. All while trying to help other customers and pick up the stuff that was falling to the floor. What ridiculous conditions to make customers AND the employees deal with. Are all the managers oblivious? Who's in charge of getting the A/C fixed? And that DJ needed to pack up and hit the road. This place recently got a total renovation and it has made a huge difference. It is so much nicer now. It has a definite night club feel going on, and I love the new ambience. The employees are super nice and helpful, and though I know some people disagree, I enjoy the food. The drinks are always good too. I loved the pretzel bites they added to the menu. I enjoy the game room too, though the price of the prizes seems to have gone up. Doesn't appear that they have the Golds Reward level anymore either, which kind of sucks if you had earned that level.
