Good for kids. Not great for food or watching the game. Potential is there, but they don't really change the channels for you and have irrelevant games playing. If you want to watch a Twins game, good luck. You want to watch a Vikings game, hope you get to. You can ask and they will tell you they will change it, but doesn't happen. Food is mediocre. Some dishes more acceptable than others. Take your kids there to have fun. Best to enjoy food and sports elsewhere. One exception - UFC; they do put effort in that. read more

It was packed - this D&B must be the hot hangout in Edina - young and old! I'm assuming the service was extremely slow because of how busy it was. I got a side salad and spinach cheese dip - nothing bad to say about it. The fries in the kids meal were seasoned well and crunchy. Hubs ordered the steak lobster shrimp pasta thing - it was alright he said, I took a bite and that's not my jazz at all. Kind of bland for such a hearty dish. Might as well call this place Dave and Busted. 50% of the machines are "out of order" and the other 30% will eat your money and leave you frustrated. Don't bring your girlfriend, boyfriend, or date here. YOU WILL NOT have fun. The owner of this place should sell it because they obviously don't give a crap. It is an absolute embarrassment to call this place an arcade, I would've rather tipped the bartender my $10-$20 that the machines stole from me. Not to mention the horrendous prize selection, they don't even have respectable candy choices, just sugar sticks. I'm just a normal guy who wanted to get off work and hit the arcade with my girlfriend and have some fun. This place made me want to go back to work for the day, it was so terrible. There's only so much you can expect for service and food when coming to a crazy family joint like this. We mainly came for the games, not the food or service. If you know you're going in advance sign up for their emails to get $10 free play. Overall the service was a 3, food was 4 and cleanliness was a 3.5. Our waitress started off the conversation by saying she wasn't excited to be working there. That set an odd tone for the evening since we were there to both play and eat. I think she would have preferred for us to eat and leave. When we decided to order food, we got the Boss chicken club and Campfire chicken. I was trying to be semi healthy so the boss chicken club was the closest I was going to get. My fiancé ordered the campfire chicken which was the opposite of healthy but he loved it. The game room is massive and you can get lost easily if you don't stick with your group. If you go on the weekend be prepared to wait for certain games to be open and vice versa, for other people to want to play your games. read more

They're just getting too expensive. The only day worth going is Wednesday for their half priced games, I stopped going any other day since each game is 8-12 chips per game which is very high. The last straw was I went last week on a Tuesday and I got a beer- total was $10.25 not including tip. The bartender said they just raised the prices again. The food is not consistent either, they do have a couple of good items, but more bad than good. I'll still come on the occasional Wednesday but they priced themselves out on me coming more frequently. read more

We decided to go to the Edina location to check it out and have some activity. I will say I do like this one a little bit more than the Maple Grove location, but I left realizing that you can only go to Dave and Busters once a year. The food is pretty "meh" at best. Its not bad but its not great. We got the pepperoni pull aparts and they were ok. I ordered the Campfire Chicken Sandwich and the chicken didnt fill the bun...i ended up leaving half a bun on the plate because the chicken was gone. There are a lot of games and the age range running around was quite a spread (from tots to adults). The venue wasn't to packed though that there really was not a issue with trying to get to a game. Once nice bonus is that they do have a coat check, granted it costs $2 per coat, it is still a good option on these freezing winter days...I can imagine if you had a big group the cost might make more sense to have one person just run them all to the car though. read more

This was my first time visiting a Dave and Busters restaurant/arcade area. The original snow cone was so tasty and refreshing. My server, Desiree, was A-mazing! She was checking how I was doing throughout my meal, as well as not pushing the check until I asked for it (which is a major plus in my book). The salmon dinner was prepared perfectly, and I liked how there were options to have the special menu that combined both food and games in the price, which was way cheaper than purchasing just the meal and then the games. Probbably will not be back for another year or so... I brought my family, from out of town, for what was to be hopefully a fun, chill day. Unfortunately, this thouggt was short lived, as there was no staff to assist in the purchasing of game cards, all of the kiosks to dispense the cards (save 1) were not able to dispense cards and none of the staff ( after much searching were capable of helping. We finally recie ed assistance at the bar. After finally getting cards and points working , many of the machines were erroring for which we did not receive our points. I purchased two VR experiences only to find signs saying the VR is closed due to covid. I asked for a refund and was told no, that vr would open in a few minutes. I stood and waited the alloted time. And no employees arrived. I asked at the ticket place and was told it wouldn't be opened due to no staff. A very very frustrating event. There were a few staff, who were super helpful. Wednesdays are half priced games and I like to go with my adult buddies every once and a great while :) I love this location. It's so much better than the food court that used to be here. The food is decent -- I usually get an appetizer before playing games. The games are usually all working, too. Staff are nice enough. There is a wide variety of games for all ages including some enhanced VR experiences. My only complaints about Dave and Busters are that the prizes are not awesome -- I have a ton of tickets saved up that I may never turn in because the prizes are kind of junky. Secondly, I wanted to clean this location when I was there last Wednesday. There were empty glasses everywhere and no one walking around to bus them. read more

BEWARE: Dave & Buster's in Edina is unprofessional and has the worst customer service. Save yourself the trouble and money and go to the Mall of America arcade. As a yelp user, I use the app to discover new restaurants to try and activities to do. Rarely do I write reviews. Immediately entering the doors the cashier abruptly scolded telling me to leave because I had an outside drink. I understand this as a store policy, but there was not even a simple "hello." When coming back, I purchased my game cards and went about my evening. There was an instance where a game was malfunctioning and the points did not transfer to the game card. We asked the prize cashier Liz who got a game tech. The game seemed like the points transferred to the card (~1,000 tickets), but when we checked the ticket balance it did not change and he did not stay with us to ensure it worked correctly. By the time we were done and wanted to cash out, we checked the balance with Liz who simply reported the wrong balance and threw the card down. We said this was wrong and she scoffed and rolled her eyes at us. Liz proceeded to get help, which when the techs arrived, they hid in the store corner to gossip about us. There was no conversation or solution. She then told us the manager would be coming. Half an hour later he arrives and both him and Liz goes back to the corner for 5 minutes. Once he finally talks to us he accuses of us lying about 1,000 points (which was equivalent of 5 packs of candy probably worth $5 total) when we had photo evidence of the points not loading. Again, no greeting and no apology for the wait and frustration. The solution was loading a mere 700/1000 total points. Why did it have to take this long for a solution so easily fixed? You would never experience this in any other location. After leaving, we called to ask for the manager's name. When asked, the cashier said "we can't disclose that information." What kind of place is this where a manager's first name isn't publicly available when a customer has a problem? I would have loved to keep this review off yelp, but after persisting all she said was vague things like "we have all our managers on duty tonight" read more

Awesome service! As fans of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, we decided to have an informal business meeting here with 2 of our colleagues last week. We came here on a busy Saturday night not expecting anything extraordinary, but we actually received great service! All 4 of us ordered food and drinks, all of the food came out hot and surprisingly fresh, everyone's soft drinks were being refilled constantly, and the waiter frequently checked in with us to see how we were doing/ if we needed anything. We really appreciated how attentive he was. The Bass Ale Fish & Chips are great, they come with garlic Parmesan American-chips rather than fries. The tomato soup with Feta was good, and the onion rings were excellent (a single side size is still large enough to share!) Can't complain about the game area either; everything was clean and we had a lot of fun, especially on the Mario Kart game that takes a photo of you to use as an avatar! My daughter and her friend ordered a blue raspberry that was supposed to glow, but they forgot to give them the glowing ice. We asked and he brought them. The food was good. I had the sirloin steak. It came cooked perfectly with haystack onions and loaded mashed potatoes. My daughter ordered the chicken strip dinner and her friend ordered the loaded mac n cheese w/o meat. She's a vegetarian. They only had one hostess with a huge line where people kept cutting in front of us. When we finally got to the server, they sat us behind a pair who'd been in line before us. We sat for nearly a half hour without any acknowledgment by our server before the gals behind us walked out. Ten minutes later, my fiancee got up and stopped a server who finally asked what we wanted for drinks. At this point, my fiancee decided it wasn't worth it and went to play games with her friends. My buddy and my two year old daughter, who at this point was getting tired of sitting, waited for another twenty minutes without getting our drinks before I asked the hostess to speak to a manager. I stood waiting for a manager for ten minutes before my food finally came. If I wasn't starving and didn't have a two year old, I wouldn't have touched it. I didn't even have a napkin until I stopped another server after I'd already finished my meal. The manager, who walked past me several times, never ended up coming and I paid for my meal without a complaint at full price for abysmal service. I did not tip the waitress for making us wait nearly an hour and a half to be served. Her section had one large party of 20 who were served 20 minutes into our visit and had other servers to help her. Cleanliness- there were probably at least 6 tables that we could see around ours that had not been bussed. Sat dirty for probably 20 mins at least whilst 3 employees were at the end of a row of tables taking. Games- seems as almost half the games were broken or not working properly. I already waited 15 minutes. Now I have to wait more. I gave up. I know these guys bank from young kids just running around not knowing when they get ripped off. To the ticket area. You need to put an age limit on dealing with kids. I was cut off by a 5 year old. The ticket guy didn't care. And spent 10 minutes trying to figure out what the girl wanted. Then to find out he couldn't help her. You can tell kids they need their parents if they need assistance and to exchange out points. Plus a 5 yr old should have a parent present in the shop and one wasn't. Which raised some alarm to me. Then was almost cut off by on adult. Which I had to raise my voice. The ticket teen already knew I was cut infront by the kid. Third their food is overpriced for what you get. Fourth, they blow a scent into Daves and Busters that I find obnoxious. It's Dave and Busters so my expectations were low. That being said I had a pretty good steak cooked medium rare. I was quite pleased with it and they subbed my potato's for a second serving of veggies. Overall I wouldn't normally eat at a place like this but the food was good and I enjoyed playing some games. They had half priced games on Wednesday and give a decent deal for food and game cards. They also do military discount which is much appreciated. Which is a long time for a parent with kids after they finally agree on prizes. Then we waited 20 minutes for someone to let us on the VR game. Overall this generic apology doesn't work. On the occasion I decide to eat, I'd like a nice booth with a tall back for resting my neck (it's weak from a past neck injury). There are several open booths, but upon further inspection many of them looked untouched except for a jacket or two on the seat. We waited. Nobody came back to reclaim the seat. We tried to sit and the waiter shooed us away because the seat was "saved." Middle school style. Pretty ridiculous. The food isn't special, but we wanted to sit down for a drink. My granddaughter chose to celebrate her 13th birthday at Dave & Busters for food, fun and games. Since the Vikings played that Sunday, they offered many "Game Day Specials" that we took advantage of. I had a Sam Adams Oktoberfest pint for $5 and my wife and I shared a large Buffalo Chicken Nachos Platter for $14, which was plenty for 2 people. Since we had a choice of steak or chicken, I asked our waitress if they could do half chicken/half steak, but the waitress said, "they cannot do that because there's chorizo on it!" Wait... huh??? Anyway, it was good, spicy, and drizzled on top with a mild blue cheese dressing, the usual black olives, jalapeno slices, and cheese that was unfortunately not melted. My son's family ordered chicken wings that had to be sent back to the kitchen 3 times because they always came out cool to the touch as if they were pre-fried, refrigerated, then reheated! We talked with the manager about it and he graciously removed all the wings from the bill. There are many high-end arcade games to play (when they are working). E.g., the air hockey table wouldn't return the puck after a score so it cost all 4 players that could not continue the game). D & B's can be a lot of fun, but if I go back, I think I might decide to eat somewhere else and then go to D & B's for just a fun time! read more

Very nice staff and very helpful we got rained out at a twins game and decided to come to Dave and busters for a little while to have some drinks and play some games. I had explained that I had misplaced my points cards and tried to reactivate my card up front at the desk. The manager was called up to help out with the situation, let me tell you I have not met a more professional manager in my life, he was super kind and friendly and even gave us a little free bonus on our card for coming all the way from the game being rained out for the day then come to find I see him walking around making sure everyone is having a good time giving out free game plays at the machines! I've been to this Dave & Buster's probably about 3 times. Most frequently, I purchased a Groupon for two game cards. My boyfriend and I were so excited, as he had never been, so when we got there and they told us the Groupon started in two days - we were a little upset. I wish they could've honored it. We ended up buying a $10 game card since we were there anyways, but that didn't last long. Their games are too pricey and the point system is dumb. They should all be whole points, not this "3.6" stuff. The games should really not go over 3 or 4 points.. there are some that are like 9! I will only go here with a deal, never pay full price! read more
