Love coming on half priced game Wednesday! Took my 2 children here in the afternoon and it was clean and hardly anyone there! They had so much fun playing on all the machines and picking out some of the coolest prizes I have seen! The staff is always friendly and someone always welcomes you at the door. Price- On Wednesdays they offer all games at half price so not only do you need less tokens to play each game but you have an opportunity to win even more tickets! They have a great $40 deal for 250 chips which is more then enough for 2 kids on half price day! Games and prizes- On average games run between 3.4-5 chips per play. We even noticed a ski ball game for only 1.3 chips! Even with some games turned off to promote social distancing there were so many to choose from. We enjoyed playing the Spongebob card game, ring toss, monopoly, minion card drop, bowling game, coin drop machines, gumdrop game, ship wheel spin, ticket claw, and so much more! This was my first experience going to D&B's, and I can say for sure that I will never go again. Our server, Erica, was more concerned with standing by the bar and talking to her coworkers than she was being attentive to us, the only people in her section. When she took my drink order, and I was talking to her about the drink, she didn't know anything about the drink I was asking for. When my father was trying to ask for ketchup and a glass of water she almost left the table so fast he couldn't even get it out. He has to tell her to hold on. The bartender was more attentive, making sure my drink order was accurate, and that she didn't input it wrong. She did not give us a status of when our food was coming out. She literally left us to our own devices for the almost hour and a half that we were seated at the high tops outside the bar. When we spoke to the manager and advised him of what had happened, he did nothing, having a meager 2 minute conversation with her in the back. Erica came back and gave us a meek apology, and it fell on deaf ears. There are franchises that I do like, Chili's, Wood-N-Tap, Cheesecake Factory, but I am sure that this server didn't know how to do her job, or she didn't feel like we would tip well, so she was unconcerned about being a decent server to us. We almost didn't get to meet Morgan - I was ready to not stay after our experience with the hostesses, which were a different story. It was Saturday around 2:30. Not particularly busy. These two young ladies were not helpful, not welcoming, not engaging. Neither one of them! Once we clarified that we wanted to sit in the dining room and not in the bar, one of them took two menus, signaled for us to follow her, led us to a table, dropped the menus at the table, and kept walking. I'm pretty pumped for this new addition to the Post Mall. When you walk in, you're immersed in sounds and flashing lights, it feel like you're walking into a really fun casino. The enthusiasm of everybody working here matched the atmosphere, it's just an exciting place to be. There are loads of big TVs by the bar in case you want to catch a sports game. If you came for the video games, there are TONS of those around. Everything from a giant Connect 4, to updated classics (Pac-Man and Rampage), to skeeball and pinball, to modern ones (Mario Kart, Spider-Man Homecoming). You load your D&B card with credits and I'm not sure how the math worked on the machines but the $10 game voucher we received seemed to go a long way. The ticket prizes (the reward for all of your gaming) were legit too, I saw some adult human sized plush toys looked worthy of the hours (days?) of game play needed to win them. Went here for a pre opening event. While it was very crowded, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was tasty, and they have Stony Creek and a couple other local craft beer options, which I appreciate. They have a wide variety of games. Pac-Man, air hockey, and skee ball were popular. The prizes you can cash in your tickets for are pretty elaborate too. I noticed a coat check, which will be helpful in the winter. It is nice to see new anchors coming into the Post Mall, and I think this will be a success. My time at Dave and Busters was amazing except for some key points. To start off I was vigorously upset about how rigged the machines were. I also found wheel of fortune to be impossible to win. The prices are to put it shortly quite obnoxious. I think that when I got scammed by the machine giving me less than I won I flipped. Luckily a helpful employee assisted me. I SO want to like this place. I've been coming here to watch the football games and one time to play at the arcade. Let me start with the good. Great ambience, nice menu, and the servers and managers are always really nice. Really fun arcade, as well. Now for the bad. And, again, I've been here multiple times, so I can tell you that the bad is consistent. It always takes FOREVER for everything. It takes forever to get our drinks. It takes forever to get our meals. It takes forever to get refills. It takes forever to get desserts. And they've brought our food to the wrong table once or twice, so we had to wait even longer. Additionally, our food is consistently cold. So the combination of having to wait forever and the food being cold, leads me to believe that maybe they need more food runners. Or just more servers in general. The food itself is a hit or miss. We've also noticed that the portions are pretty small for the price they want. Again, I want to like this place.
