Avid regular, definitely a guys bar but don't let that stop you from enjoying the atmosphere. Plenty of games for entertainment to keep you busy. I recently heard about Stormy's and think it's a really cool place to hang out in Shelton! I was impressed by the many arcade games, pool, bocce court, and axe throwing they offered, and the outdoor patio looked really nice. A lot more than I would've expected was made in house, like the guac, coleslaw, and mustard for the pretzels. Apps were all tasty! I had the broccoli and chicken pasta, which was good but they definitely went heavy on the garlic! The drunken mermaid was also such a cool cocktail, I haven't seen something like that before! Such a fun place! I had never heard of it until a friend invited a bunch of us to go out for a girls night out! The place is really nice inside! Great outdoor seating, and the whole back wall opens up, you can sit outside and still see everything going on inside. Awesome place to watch sports, plenty of huge screen televisions. There are two pool tables, darts, skee ball, even an axe throwing room! For dinner- I got the fiesta bowl with chicken- really good! Also the steak tacos were awesome! Stormy's did an amazing job for a surprise party for our son leaving for the the military. We were allowed to decorate. There food is delicious. The waitresses really impressed our guests. It was my first time going to stormy's for an early dinner and it was a pleasant experiance. our server was very friendly and an outgoing individual. We had the garlic parm wings and our entree was the chicken bacon ranch wraps. the wings were delicious with a great crunch and very saucey . only wish if they were a bit warm coming out . they seemed room temp when served to us. the wrap itself was outstanding with enough crispy chicken ( you can also get it with grilled chicken ) bacon and ranch to please anyone. overall my experiance was pleasant . my only gripe maybe update the pool area which is a little dead needs a little uplifting to standout. read more

Have been coming to stormys for about 2 years now. I only really went because my friends liked it, but this is the final straw. They're now only letting people 25 and older into the bar. Let me repeat. Not 18. Not 21. 25 years old. I've never heard of such a ridiculous rule, and this place will be losing sooo much business. Not only is this not legal, but is CRAZY coming from a place that has a history of being shady. To boot, this places service is extremely slow and the food is worse than diner food. Waited 25 minutes for napkins one time. They always have a really loud awful band or DJ thats cranked so high up that even standing on the opposite end of the room you have to scream into someone's ear to hear them. When they eventually do get in trouble for their new ridiculous rule, because it as stated previously NOT legal, I will not be coming back and giving another dime to this place. It's an "OK" place. Friday nights are cool until around 930-10pm and then they put this DJ on that is so incompetent and cannot read the room at all and plays the dumbest most out of tune music that absolutely doesn't represent the crowd of patrons. For example, tonight the place was PACKED! And I mean FULL to the brim, they shut the juke box that had everyone dancing and having fun off and this middle life crisis wishes he was 20 years old in 2001 "dj" went on and 80% of the crowd funneled out the doors and he kept on playing these half assed amateur "mixes"(2 seperate songs that the tempos didn't match up at all and genres were so wildly off they just sounded like white noise). The patrons were yelling to get him off and to change the song or to "put the juke box back on" etc etc. needless to say if you want to come here avoid the food and don't stay any later than 930pm, there's many better places just down the road in Shelton. read more

Sadly wasn't that impressed by the food here, I got tacos that were dry and didn't have too much flavor. I did however love the games here. They had pool, wall corn hole, shuffle board, axe throwing, and skee ball. These games were super fun but you did have to pay for a few of them and unfortunately axe throwing wasn't available the day I went. Would come back for drinks and games in the future read more

Very spacious. And there seems to be a lot to do like pool axe throwing ski ballo but didn't really see anyone doing it. The have a smaller patio in front and a large patio in the back wit Stormys is very spacious with a small patio near the front entrance, tons of seating options inside including a bar top, and a large patio in the rear. They offer several games like axe throwing, pool, and several backyard style games. My friend and I did not use any of the games, we just stopped in for happy hour. Their happy hour menu has a variety of beverages and appetizers for very reasonable prices. I ordered potato skins, pretzels with cheese, a buffalo chicken slider, mini burger, and pulled pork slider. I really liked the potato skins and pretzels, but I was not a fan of any of the sliders. They all had a peculiar taste. It was as if the bread was made with sweetened coconut milk. I cut them all in 1/2 and sampled each one and they all had that similar sweet taste. I couldn't finish them. The taste of sweet coconut with something savory was off putting. I asked the waitress about it and she said she didn't know, but would ask the cook. I did not get an answer. Stormy's is just fantastic!! Excellent place to catch any type of sports game, or to spend time with friends. Prices are great, bartenders and servers are on point, beers are ice-cold, and the food is really good (some of the best wings around). Love coming here after work or playing ball, and if you're in the mood (and can reserve the room), you can toss some axes around. read more

This local bar is perfect for a night out with friends or your partner! The location might be hidden in a plaza but it is was well worth the find. The bar is spacious, has a couple of pool tables, an axe throwing room, and darts! I ordered a build your own burger and it came out just as expected. I have been here a few times and service is decent, might be helpful to have more than one person behind the bar and serving tables. Love this restaurant! It's our go to for planning birthday parties and seeing our favorite bands. My 50th birthday was held there and it was such a success we planned another one! Food was on point and served on time. The process of choosing the food was super easy and was fresh and really good! We had sliders, chicken tenders/wings, calamari, tater tots and french fries which kept everyone happy well fed. The whole staff was super accommodating and attentive to make sure guests were taken care of at all times. They have an ax throwing room and outdoor games in summer. Stoped in for appetizers had the steak and cheese egg rolls which were descent could've used a little more cheese on it but still were tasty the veggie eggs rolls with some spicy dip they had were about a 3 1/2 and I had the potato skins which were just ok I'll give them a 3 I would've given them a 5 but there wasn't really any cheese on them overall it's still worth going here drinks were good and I was still satisfied and the wattress was very informative and kind I'll give her a 5 excellent service. read more

My wife and I go there mainly on Thursday nights to play the jukebox and hang out with our favorite bartender Crystal. She is always attentive and courteous and welcoming. We've also been there on Friday a few times and had Julia as a bartender and again, she's amazing and works her tail off to make sure we're taken care of. On Sunday you can always count on Rob to have the utmost professional service no matter how deep the bar is. He's always got the Vikings on the same tv so I don't have to guess where to watch the game. And if the bar isn't your thing then Lilly is more than happy to take care of you at a table within the restaurant. Great food, great people, don't change a thing. read more

I met a couple of friends at this place & they had already placed an order so I ordered added a salad to the order. In the entire place there was one other table for 2 with a couple people at the bar so why did it take a half hour to get an appetizer? We asked for some kind of snack and waitress suggested pretzels. We thought she'd bring a bowl of pretzels. When our app finally came we didn't even think about asking where the pretzels were. Another 20 minutes and our meal comes with a pretzel appetizer. Everyone dives in to their meals & the pretzels. After dinner I asked the manager to comp the pretzels for having to wait so long. This evening was the second time I've been in there in the past couple of years where I've walked out due to lack of service. Last time my husband and I sat at a table in the bar for 18 minutes without anyone coming to our table or at the least, acknowledging our presence. Tonight my husband, daughter and I made another attempted to eat there. We again sat at a high top in the bar area for 7 minutes, again without any acknowledgement. Again, we walked out. The impression that we got was if you aren't a "regular customer", you are ignored. There were staff members hanging out talking at the end of the bar amongst themselves and with the regulars. This place is a great hangout place in Shelton with some great food and drinks. My wife and I recently moved to Shelton. We found this place on Bridgeport Avenue wanted to give it a try. The service was great, Brittni our bartender was very attentive and very hospitable towards the both of us. The food was even very good. The sauces were very good and I highly recommend the beef tips. They were like eating a first class steak at any restaurant around here.Will be here for many times. In all of my years of living I have never been to an establishment that treats their customers the way that Stormys does. The amount of attitude and backhanded comments that were made while my friends and I we're simply just trying to get a few drinks is unreal. The bartender specifically was such a POS and completely ignored and disrespected us on multiple occasions. I will never be back here and make sure to tell everyone and their mother to never step foot in Stormy's. The only person that was nice enough to give us the time of day was the cook. Hi - we ordered from here last night via Grub Hub and was really disappointed. I understand we are all going through tough times so we wanted to support a local business but the food was not good, it wasn't as described on the menu and for the price was not worth it. I ordered the turkey burger which was supposed to be 1/2lb and come with pickled red onion. The burger was small and overcooked, has raw red onion in it and bacon. Not sure where the bacon came from. We just went to Stormy's in Shelton this past Saturday evening to spend time with friends. Playing darts, some food and axe throwing. Well, let me say that the service of the bartenders in particular was more than poor. They do not acknowledge your presents at all. I stood at the bar waiting for about 15 minutes until someone came over to take my order. I ordered 6 shots for my friends and asked the bartender to shake the drinks well before pouring and she replied: "I did already, I know what I am doing." The bill came to $33.00, I tipped her 10% because of the answer I received and her attitude she displayed. After an hour, my friend went to the bar to get a couple of beers, she waited for 30 minutes. I went to check on her what was taking so long. I waved my hand up to get the bartenders attention. There is no reason for any customer to have to wait that long to get a couple of beers, anyway, the bartender kept ignoring us and send her co-worker to take the order. The next thing I know, someone calling them self management showed up and was asking me to leave because I was being rude to the staff. Really? I tried to explain that we were waiting for quite some time and were being ignored, but the bartender didn't even let me finish my sentence. She said: " You did not tip me enough the last time and you are rude!" (BTW, gratitude is optional and based on customer service.) This place does NOT know what customer service is. I tried explaining the situation to the so called Manager and 2 minutes later 3 guys showed up to make sure that I leave the premises. (By the way, I was drinking water all night.) They told my friends that they can stay, but I have to leave. As we were walking out the door, another "manager" came outside and yelled across the parking lot: You guys can never come back here again!" I am absolutely speechless!! After that, I googled this place and found quite a view reviews from other customers stating similar issues. Especially about the bartenders, spitting at customers, yelling at them and complaining about tips. At this point, it seems obvious that who ever owns this place does not care about customer service AT ALL!!! My advise, if you are looking for a nice place to spend time with your friends, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go there!!!!!! It ruins your whole evening and most of us only have one night to go out anyway and the last thing we want to encounter is unprofessional staff with attitude that should not be in this industry. One more thing I'd like to add. I have been VERY polite writing this review. My advise to the owner, REPLACE ALL STAFF or close the business!!!!!!!!!!Seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!
