Absolutely the most poorly managed place I've been. Multiple mana gets came to the front desk and left leaving one guy with a line of at least 20 people alone. Then to be told I didn't need to wait in the line and that my server would get me the cards and food package. That's if I could get a server. The excuse of being short handed is pathetic. It's a holiday weekend. There's no way you don't have historical data to support having a full staff on hand for a holiday weekend. Your complete lack of ability to manage should not be evident to your customers. Not having a separate guest services to handle the checking out of pool balls and shuffle board pieces is also unacceptable. Multiple customers interrupted the front desk guy for their needs, causing him to be distracted from the line customers. Piss poor planning and execution. read more

The first night we arrived in Orange we we went down the street from the Best Western to the block at orange and a friend told us to check out this place. I didn't expect much, but this place is HUGE and has a bar, restaurant, and game area. Now, for the food. I'm giving 4 stars because the food was awesome that night and I became an instant fan. that, and our server was so good! She suggested the cheesesteak eggrolls, which sounds gross but I'll get to that, and we ordered a club sammie and chicken with peppercorn sauce and borsin cheese. Here's a breakdown of the results: Appetizer-Steak eggrolls: Wow. Let me say it again--wow. These were surprisingly good in every way and the two sauces--one cheese and one sweet & sour--was excellent, too. I'm a true believer in this signature appetizer and ordered seconds. If you don't like salty, cheesy steak goodness, you won't like this roll. I love salty cheesey goodness, so it was excellent for me. Club sammie: Huge sandwich and served on nice, soft honey wheat bread. I was expecting a club that I get from Denny's, to be honest, but this thing had a real piece of chicken in there with applewood smoked bacon, their secret sauce, and all the fixings. I couldn't even eat my fries because the sandwich was very filling. Great choice for lighter fare. Chicken with borsin cheese and peppercorn sauce: My husband loves it and he wants to cook this at home. Nicely balanced with the cheese and the mushroom, peppery sauce. The chicken was very moist and tender, and for a strange combination it played out very well on the palette. Drinks: TNT- great drink with a signature glass! It runs around 9 bucks cause of the glass, but the drink itself is a long island iced tea and they make it nice and strong. Service: Awesome server! She was polite, attentive, and funny. Overall, great experience and played my heart out in the arcade. Food was very, VERY good. I say if you want a fun atmosphere and good food, come here. I will definitely come back again when I'm in town. Ordering food and drinks was another story. Food tool awhile. Our waiter was nowhere to be seen. Although he informed us midway through our meal he was going on break for 10mins, he didn't mention who was covering for him so we had to hail a random waiter to help us. Getting people's attention here is quite a feat. You are lucky to get a 50% success rate. Games: literally the adult version (bc you can drink here) of chuck e cheese-takes you back to the games you love. The 4 person air hockey and the speed of light game were a group favorite! Okay so this place wasn't fantastic, not the worst. I had never been to a Dave and Buster's but was expecting a little more. The structure was a little overwhelming, but the actual establishment was average. I will accredit the servers, who were very friendly in my experience. Aside from that, the food was better than average. We had ordered a plethora of food. The menu was indulgent, with an order of fish and chips, Philly cheese steak, a pulled pork and macaroni sandwich, and ultimate shrimp and chicken macaroni scattered across the table. Our appetizer was probably my favorite part, a simple spinach artichoke dip, which was done incredibly well. Being that I do not drink, perhaps I didn't experience the nature of Dave and Busters. It seems like a place that tries to cater to families, but also to heavy drinkers, which makes me uncomfortable. Think, Hooters and Chuck-E-Cheese Hybrid, with modest clothing and more lights. The games were everywhere, and I guess I can't leave a full review since I didn't not actually play anything. But they were overpriced. So if you are in a budget I would recommend another establishment. But if you are with friends and want to do something silly, I'm assuming Dave and Buster's would be your go-to. To detach from any ideas that I'm leaving a scathing review, I did really enjoy the food, and the service. Quite disappointed. I was there last night. I am not one to end the night early, but it was such a disappointment that the night was better without it. This was true at least last night. I admit it might actually have to do with company. What led to major disappointment was that most of the games were out of order. I am not exaggerating. Over half of the basketball games were out of order. The horse racing game didn't seem to work right. The shooting range didn't quite work....hmm there was a whole host of other things that were mediocre. All this and we had to pay a cover charge. The games were expensive for most of it being broken. I came here many times and I still prefer DnB at Irvine over this location. Crowds aren't just my type and is it just me or there're more kids here late at night! Once I saw a family here with two young kids at midnight... (very foreign to me) Parking can be a pain during the weekends. Last night we circled the parking lot several time before finding a spot. There was Valet service, but at $6... maybe if we were more desperate. Ample amount of pool tables, but still going to be a long wait if they are busy. Service = Whatever - once upon my many visits(not last night) a staff was a hole and tried to kick me out - dude I wasn't even that tipsy! He wanted me to throw my drink away, but sorry I'm not rich so I gave it to my friend to drink. He wasn't too happy but didn't say anything. He said I have to sit here so he can see that I'm not drinking anymore... There are good arcade games here, but the popular one seem to be Deal or No Deal (long wait) Drinks are OK deals for their regular price, but Happy Hours have much more attractive deals. Overall, even if I gave this place 2 stars, I will most likely to come here if my friends want to do so. The biggest drawback to Dave and Buster's (DnB's to all you hipsters) happy hour is the lack to discounted food. Sure I'll happily get wasted off your bottom shelf wells and cocktails but what the hell am I to eat? Living up to the cheap Chinese stereotype, our group of 4 ordered two appetizer plates and split them, just to avoid starving. We had the Bar Burgers and Wings Platter along with a Grilled Chicken Quesadilla. Upon noticing that the quesadilla did not come with guacamole, I asked the server how much it would be on the side. His brutally honest answer surprised me. Apparently the guacamole sucks so much that its not worth the extra dollar. Our server truly values his integrity, thanks guy. The bar burgers are essentially sliders, except instead of using individual patties for each slider the cooks took one normal patty and cut them into quarters. Essentially each slider has only meat covering half the bun... incredibly lame, I just love a mouthful of bread when I bite into a burger. I can only guess that the burger was decent, the bun is more of a sweet dinner roll. What's odd too is that they serve two full sized tomatoes on the side, so I've got a slice of tomato bigger than my slider and there's not even enough tomatoes for all the sliders. Ugh. (Yes its probably not that hard to cut the tomatoes into smaller pieces myself) The wings were rather tough to eat into, the skin was rather dry and my particular wing was a runt. I'd love to try another one had there been more than just 4 wings. With the burger and wing out of the way, I can now talk about the ONLY redeeming item on this plate, their french fries. I've noticed that their fries are consistently good, being full sized similar to what you'd see from Jack in the Box or Wendy's, but only better. They're slightly crisp on the outside with a soft, yet dense middle, and the seasoning really adds flavor. Finally there's the quesadilla, which was generic. It wasn't thin by any means like Del Taco, it had some thickness to it. The salsa that came with it could easily have been the jarred stuff you get from the store. Being that the only other DnB's I've frequented is the Spectrum location, I can say that the Block is much bigger with more games and pool tables. Overall what you experience at one location will probably like any other. So commenting on DnB's in general, it's not a bad place to kill some time and knock back a few cheap drinks. Be advised, the best discounts are on the wells and cocktails. read more

I'd never been to Dave & Busters before and had no idea how anything worked. Lucky for us we had some leftover cards given to us by a friend. We walked in grabbed a drink...a Long Island Peach Tea and a large Pyramid beer. Since it was 1/2 off cocktails and $1 off beers for happy hour (4:30pm-7pm) the total cost was just over $10...not too shabby! We came in about 5pm on a Monday evening, and there was plenty of parking, and not too many people around the Block at all really. Dave and Busters was kind of happening, but it was more families with kids that stuck more to the ticket games. We never had to wait to play any games...in our case, mostly shooting games. After a while, we ordered an appetizer to snack on and decided on Chicken Nachos, expecting a big pile of messy and delectable nachos to munch on. Instead, after a long wait, we got a platter of 7 or 9 (can't remember) tortilla chips each separately made with chicken, beans, and cheese melted on top in and placed in a very orderly fashion. It was just over $8 so it wasn't worth it for $1 a chip. But we enjoyed it none-the-less. Also came with sour cream and salsa. We had fun, but I'd guess on an average night out you may spend $30-$40 for drinks, games, and food per person...if not more. During happy hour with a total of two drinks, one appetizer, and games, we spent about $50 for two people. If you don't already have a game card to recharge for the games, it'll cost $2 just to get a new card as well. I'd come back to D&B. I love being able to carry my drink around while playing arcade games. read more

She's still too young to be playing the full arcade games, and we don't let her play the violent games.. so basically she was limited to the ticket-games, which was fine. She played a couple games here and there...and my daughter hit a 500-ticket jackpot... wtf?!?!?! the next night that we went.. .she pulled the big level on the big wheel... I had her slap the big button and she got the 1000 ticket jackpot!!!! Understood that all the stuff that you can "buy" or win with the tickets are relative junk... but ... she had fun... .and that was the point. For food, we ordered the little bar sampler thing with the burger that was sliced into 4, the wings and the fries... pretty good. Long-time patron, about 7 years. Semi-weekly visitor. To think that I've been coming here for so long and never wrote a review for this place! Well there's a time for everything, and my favorite stomping grounds are no exception. The food is good, but nothing overly spectacular. Where they really shine are their "Eat and Play" Combos. They're available most of the time, and you get a $10-20 game card paired with your meal for a ridiculous price. It's pretty awesome. I'm a huge fan of their philly cheese steak, which is pretty damn delicious. But all their offerings are plentiful and tasty. Unfortunately, their wait staff could use a little bit of improvement, as far as attentiveness. Their drinks have sort of taken a bit of a slide since I started coming here, and the rules that a lot of the bartenders have to adhere to now are a bit on the strict side (can't order more than 1 drink at once, IDs now kept when tab is opened, etc...). The quality of the drinks are pretty hit and miss now. Some of the bartenders shine with certain offerings, and when you've been coming as long as I have, you learn each one's strengths and weaknesses to how they pour. As far as the bar service goes, I've never been disappointed, but I often go during the slower periods anyway. I will admit though, that if it's super-busy, don't be surprised if your bartender simply pours you a drink and then moves on. The arcade is pretty decent as far as their offerings go. Thankfully, they aren't stingy with the tickets, and it's not hard to walk out with an armful of tickets after playing for a little while. The tech staff is courteous and pretty prompt when something should go awry. Remember that Dave & Busters is *technically* a family establishment. So if you, or your cohorts are a bit "rowdy", the bartenders and management staff won't bat an eye to have you removed from the building. They've REALLY buckled down on a no-BS attitude over the last two years or so. In a nutshell: Good food, great promotions during the week for food, games AND drinks. Friendly bar staff and drinks are good, if you know who to order from. Wait staff needs help, and management can be buzzkills if things get rowdy. read more

I love coming to Dave & Busters and always have a good time when I come. I mainly come to play the games and have a few drinks. The food is not that great and if you do come to eat don't expect a waiter/waitress to attend you quickly. The few times that I've ate there it took a long time to get them to attend us. Most of the bartenders are friendly and I like how creative some of them get when they make you a drink. Always a great place to release some stress. With a room with arcades, two hugh bars, pool tables, and shuffle board. There are also plenty of tvs and a couple of over head projector screen for sporting events. I love to come here to watch football. Happy Hour is awesome! From $1 off large beers to half off liquor. So $5 shots, where else can you get shots for $5. Happy hour is from 3pm-6pm Monday-Friday and I believe Sunday-Thursday from 10pm -closed. My friends and I don't live near this location but we wanted to go for their happy hour specials. We read all of the specials online and let me tell you, SO MISLEADING. Yes they had $2.50 Dos XX but in a tiny glass, the rest of the beer was NOT the price it said online, it's not half off appetizers, it's more like half off 4 choices out of the appetizers (potato skins, quesadillas, etc.), cocktails were half off so we stuck to those the rest of the night. Service was friendly but MY GOD did it take FOREVER to be helped and it was a Tuesday night! Literally took 30min to order our next drinks. By the time we all got our last round of drinks it was too late to play the games. So yes, I'm pretty upset I bought and loaded a game card for nothing too. i havent been to dave n busters in so long i was excited.. thats untill i got there of course. when i first got there i noticed the smell in the front lobby it was sour and old. and then i went to the register to get coins thinking i needed them to shoot pool.... we walked over to the sports bar and had a seat... bartender was there to help and he was cool... ordered drinks and then a short time later ordered food..... drinks-- my margarita was super sweet and watered down at the same time..... we ordered the triple bacon burger with fries and a order of the avocado street corn bites................ this is where the shit gets real.. the burger------ we all know everything is better with bacon.... right? well not this time... the burger taste like ....."dog food" made my face frown up like a 'little kitty lick'' the fries were cold and soggy the the avacodo shit was freezer cold nasty and hard.. dining experince -150 gaming was okay but pool tables are all uneven the arcade was overly loud i couldnt hear my own thought. most of all the cool games were out of service and the ones that did work were lame..... to top it all off to cash out tickets u need atleast 700 tickets to get a cool prize which sucked... will i return??? fucc no recommend anyone ?? herll no not ever..... read more

My family and I went to Dave & Buster's I've only been a few times in my life and I have to say we had so much fun I can't wait to do it again although it was pretty early around noonish I have to say I gave 3 stars because the staff was either very tired or just unfriendly including the manager the lady working the virtual game never cracked a smile like she was angry she had to be there I told the manager that there was a razor blade tool on the register buy the gift area and the manager looked at me like I wanted something for free my nephew is autistic and I just don't think it's a good idea to have razors around in a family friend kid place the manager then picks it up and just move it to the other side of the register like I was bothering him in fact the only person who said anything to us and that was even just a little was the bartender I hope it's not like this all the time I would really like to come back and feel welcomed.......ps the yellow tool is the blade .. read more
