While the games are still fantastic and constantly being updated with cool new versions, the restaurant side of the business should be avoided at all costs. No one comes here for the food and I can see why. I read all the depressing reviews about the food and didn't expect a culinary experience. I came here for a friend's birthday as she wanted to have a group dinner and play games. I thought about keeping it simple with an avocado toast - how could I go wrong? It's hands-down the worst dish I've had in the past year and left hungry. The "ciabatta" bread was cheap sourdough bread overflowing with cheese and a very salty spread. Even the avocado, corn, and pickled onions couldn't save the "toast". The toppings were sloppily thrown on and falling off with every bite. After a few bites, I threw in the towel. The Mango Berry Bull cocktail without the Bull (no Red Bull) was fine. I don't understand why anyone would put red bull in a cocktail? I enjoyed the sweetness of the mango puree, but could hardly taste the rum. A double shot would have been perfect. The "berry cubes" were interesting and hard to crush. After several attempts, my friend was able to make a small dent in the ice. The server, Brandon, was really nice and friendly. He made us laugh and checked on our table multiple games. He easily split up the check and let us go dutch. I wish I ate before-hand. It was a bummer that we ended up not playing the games - a lot of them looked new and the floor was packed full of them. This location is terrible if you have an issue while you are here. Which you will. Games break and if you swipe a card good luck finding someone to help you. When you do locate them you will wait 30 mins for them to credit you or let you play another game. You waste a lot of time waiting here if something is not working properly. Then if you have any issues no one knows who the manger on duty or and if they do they say ohhhh I think his name is .......but he is in the back so yea. This could have honestly been a fun family outing but due to customer service and broken items and the clear we don't care about anyone who comes To spend money here attitude it was a bad experience. My family (kids:8,3,5 months) came here right at opening on a Saturday morning. Other people were, surprisingly, there too. The games are pricey and my 3 year olds $20 card was out quickly. As someone who formerly worked here, this is me leaving a review as a warning. I was BOH support mostly- cleaning bathrooms, games, and then eventually silverware. My coworker in handling silverware had COVID my last week of work and wasn't wearing a mask nor got tested before coming in. I've also been frequently misgendered by my peers despite listing pronouns on my person. Where should I start the last time I came here it was 5 yrs ago so I was hoping for improvement. We randomly was in the area and decided to go here. When we arrived the ladies in front loading our game cards customer service was below average. As we walk in we decided to eat first and we were greeted by a young man with a silver chain in that said boss he was super nice and friendly. He let us know it is a 45 minute wait but the bar is first come first serve. There were a few chairs and he directed us over it ended up being someone's chairs he came over straightened everything up and got us seated. He was such a charismatic guy and he just had amazing customer service. Unfortunately he was the only person in this establishment with great customer service. I'm so upset I can't recall his name. Once we sat at the bar we waited 20 minutes no hello nothing. Other customers came and left after no greeting or service. Finally my friend pulled a Manager aside and asked him to assist us in ordering because we been waiting for 20 minutes. Joe responded we have to really been there that long. Joe was behind the bar but i'm unsure what he does. All I seen him do was stand around , flirt with some chicks and cash out like 2 people. Raven was our server she was super busy her and another female. She took our order she was nice but just so busy i felt bad for her. The bar had a line just to order drinks and Raven and the other female were working that line like crazy ! While Joe just chilled. Since Raven was busy we asked Joe to cash us out he said ok but never did it. Wtf Joe you not doing nothing !! We remained calm for another 20 minutes while a fight broke out near the bar. I was so ready to go at this point . Raven cashed us out and we played a few games since we had all these credits on our cards. But this is defiantly my last time coming to this location. One couple that was beside us got so irritated they left after they ordered food and everything. The wings weren't done , the nachos were good and my drink taste just like syrup. I was reading the reviews and was surprised at the 1s. Dave & Busters is what it is. A loud gaming hall and sports bar...that costs a ton to play games (hello Chuck E Cheese, Bowlero, etc). Our server, Ed, was fantastic. Really patient as we ordered for our son before our own food. And then, made extra sure that my addition of balsamic glaze got on the shrimp pesto Flatbread. My husband said his burger was good but a bit salty. That was our only issue. read more

Upon arriving the host he was amazing. He made sure we found a sit even if it was at the bar. It went down hill from there. They had 4 people working at the bar and not one of them said anything to us for 20 min. I saw a manager and he instantly had the bartender take our order. We had to flag someone down each time we needed something. The one guy at the bar name Joe did nothing. I think he just work there to do nothing. You ask him for something and he ignored it. The food was just ok. The wings were not cooked properly and but the nachos looked delicious. In the mist of us eating a fight broke out. This is easily the worst Dave & Buster I have been too. I was only here 30 minutes before leaving. It was really that bad. REALLY. The parking here is terrible. I had a hard time finding a spot. In fact, I actually had to park in the Target parking lot and walk back over to Dave & Buster. Smh. As I walk in I noticed the place is downstairs, and there are a lot of stairs too. Plus, the place is very small. It's like they tried to cramp everything into a basement or something. I didn't like it at all. The first game I tried to play was SnowCross and they had four bikes to play on. NONE of them worked correctly. The Fourth one didn't pan left, the third one didn't allow snowballs to be thrown, the second one didn't allow me to put in pin code, and the first didn't allow me to pan left. Sad. A game tech (Eddie) came over to try to resolve it, but then he noted that he would have to disable the entire system and they may have to order replacement parts. Sad. The second game I tried to play was basketball. The ceiling was leaking on the game itself and only two out of six hoops were in service. Epic Fail. Pitiful. The hoop didn't move either. I was later told that they removed the motors so the hoop wouldn't move. Sad. The third game I tried to play was HYPERPITCH. The game kept glitching. So the Game Techs came over again and noticed the problem. They tried to reboot the system. As I started playing the censors cut off and they had to cut the game off again. Unbelievable. At that point I was DONE. I went to the gift shop to at least get a toy for my little cousin and they had half of their inventory OUT OF STOCK (see pictures). What the hell is up with this place?! And when I spoke to a Manager about my 30 minute experience I was given excuse, after excuse, after excuse. Never again would I return here. Trust me. This was my first and last time. Before I visited this Dave & Buster I thought White Marsh (Baltimore) was the worst ever. This one easily takes the cake. This is by far the worst Dave & Buster I have been too. Dave & Buster's is a good place to eat and drink but it is not the same as it used to be. This place is flooded with millennials standing around and running amuck when I am trying to enjoy a good game. I can't play one game without one mouth breather touching me and waiting for me to finish what I was playing. If you want to play most of the games here, you'll either have to wait for it to free up or just never play at all. Came here tonight and was absolutely disappointed and stunned with how this place has become. Last summer this place was awesome, don't know what happened to this place. They changed the games and layout of the games and they were all for tickets or just really dumb. There was one game where you have to launch a ball into a hole and we wondered why no one was playing and it's because each turn requires more points/scanning of the card. The games didn't always work and the fact that they're big on scamming you of points is absolutely ridiculous. We ended up leaving less than an hour later. I also don't like that a lot of the games now are larger versions of games you can play on your phone like fruit ninja, subway surfers, and doodle hop. If I wanted to play those, I wouldn't come to D&B. On top of it, service at the bar was absolutely horrible and made no sense. My boyfriend and I went here tonight and my boyfriend is active duty military. He doesn't care his military id around for security reasons and uses his other (expired) ID that has his birthday on it. I'd understand suspecting it's a fake ID, but no one can just fabricate the fact that they're active duty military and this was the first time he was denied of a drink ever and he's lived in the area for three years and used that same ID at dave and busters. I remember 10+ years ago that this place used to be the gaming capital for adults and had plenty of games for kids. Seems like after they've gone mainstream and expanded, each location depends on management and location. I've been to this location several times with most recent being at noon on New Year's Eve. This place is a mess. They are understaffed and have been on other dates and times I've been here. They also lack enough floor space like other larger D&Bs. It's almost like the company saw an opportunity and just bought out whatever was left from the Springfield Town Center. While this place is overpriced like many other locations, it lacks some of the gaming I've seen at others like a large pool hall, bowling alley, and shuffle board. I've also been to locations that had a virtual driving range too. The food/restaurant area here is pretty pathetic. On the most recent time, tables were lacking since many weren't cleaned and ready for new customers. I sat down for 5-10 minutes waiting to be served. We never were. We got up and left at ate somewhere else in the mall. D&B has become more like a disfunctional and overpriced Chucky Cheese. Come in with low expectations. Been here a few times but first time reviewing. Parking, is always crazy here and almost always unavoidable. This is one of the main things that stops me from coming here because it's such a mess navigating the parking lot. The arcade is pretty big and there's a lot of great games that you can't find in regular arcades. My cousins tried the VR section and seemed to have loved it but it does cost extra. One suggestion I had (that I'm sure has been address) is more hand sanitizing stations just based on the amount kids playing. I've only eaten here twice and the food is ok, definitely not much to write home about and service can vary based on the day and how busy it is. They have a good combo of all different kinds of games; ones to rack up tickets, ones fun to play with friends (ddr and guitar hero), VR, and classics (skeet ball). They have good deals for different days and certain times such as happy hour for food and drinks and discounted game play. Groupon sometimes has deals online too. I like getting their drinks because they are unique. My favorite is the coronarita. My friend and I shared a beer tower of miller lite and paid less than $20 for 100 ounces. This is where they always want to come for birthdays and special occasions, and it's quite expensive (even moreso now that they took out all of the cheaper/old school classic games like skee ball. :( I love skee ball :( ) so we don't go as often as we used to...but it is still a very fun afternoon, when we do visit. This location often has several games that are out of order BUT we went last weekend, and they seem to have fixed a lot of them. Food, games and prizes are all way better than Chuck E Cheese (the food is also rather expensive for bar food). The main problem is with the service. The gaming area is always packed, every time we go - but the restaurant isn't yet the service is ALWAYS incredibly slow, busy or not. I recently moved here and while attempting to eat here, it appeared understaffed and over seated. They definitely needed more staff at the time because the restaurant was pretty full per allotted authorization. The server was ran ragged and it took on average 10 mins to get a drink, 30 mins to get food, and waited another 30 for my check, but the food was well cooked and tasteful and the drinks were great which is why I gave 4 stars. If your not in a hurry, then this shouldn't be an issue for you. The bartender, she was exceptional, and was quick to make the drinks...delivery was just not on par. Expect crowds on weekends. They have a bunch of games and they do a good job maintaining them. I've been to Dave & Buster's in Maryland and New York. This one most closely resembles the New York location. Upon entering, you see a long counter with employees who are there to help. The employee who helped us was very sweet and knowledgeable. In the past years, we had somehow collected 5 Dave and Buster's cards with different points in each one. She was patient as she transferred everything into one card. After you enter the doors, walk down the stairs and to your left is where you can grab a bite to eat and to your right are the games. Restrooms are clean enough, they could always improve upon that. Came here on a Saturday and we expected it to be busy. You will most likely have to wait to play certain games, so bring your patience. They have definitely made some improvements on the games and set up since I've last visited Dave & Buster's in MD. Overall, I like how it's connected to Springfield Mall. read more

I think we all know that D&B is first and foremost an arcade and we should start treating it that way. Coming here was cool and the games are fun, also walked away with a few cute prizes. When it comes to food... mid. Had two wings before packing up my food. Not noteworthy or amazing but not worth complaining about. When it comes to the drinks though, unless you drink sour mix or simple syrup simply for the taste you will lose any interest in staying past your second drink. First drink, straight sugar. Awful. Second drink. Not good but a step up. Halfway through the third i lost interest in staying because all i could think about was how bad i wanted to throw up from all the sour mix in my margarita. Tried to switch to a bitter drink to offset how sick i felt. Took two sips and left to go home and vomit. Surprisingly this Dave and Busters is pretty big! It doesn't look like it from the entrance, but it goes down a flight of stairs to a lower level. It can also be accessed from inside the mall. I went on a Wednesday and I highly suggest you do the same; all games are 1/2 price!!! It was actually busy on a Wednesday. I sat and ate while the kids ran around and played games. We were there for 2 1/2 hours and could have easily stayed longer. Minus: The service in the dining area was not great at all! The bartender was really slow and never brought the drink I asked for. We all know not to go to D&B for the food. That's a given. If you get hungry, have something simple, wash it down with a beer or any of their other non-neon drinks, and move on to the game floor. Unfortunately, the game floor at this location can be just as disappointing as the food. I've resorted to calling it Dave & Busted. At any given time, you have a 50/50 chance of a game not working, being out of service, or just randomly taking your credits without starting the game. The staff is young so I'm sure they're not trained or paid enough to actually care about the operations of the facility. It's a real headache to find someone who actually knows how to fix a machine or get you a refund so you're left with the decision between faulty customer service and faulty games. The choice is yours! They have a really cool VR attraction at this location which, instead of utilizing $5 worth of credits, you have to get $5 loaded on your card to get on the ride. Unfortunately, since nothing works, the kiosk right next to the attraction is shifty so you'll likely have to go back upstairs to load that $5. At one point, only ONE kiosk in the entire building was in service. It's pretty crazy. Last, but not least, be careful not to run into the indoor waterfall they have coming from the ceiling in there. I don't know what the facilities budget is for this location but someone needs to look into increasing it. I've been going to this D&B since it opened and every experience is progressively worse. I love arcade games so I won't stop going but expectations have to be tempered. read more

3/2/21 While standing inside this Dave and Busters  a Year ago, thoughts of how expensive it is to play these games came to mind. Some of these games are $3.50 per game or higher. Since you are not physically putting dollars into the game your playing, it does seem to matter. This plastic reloadable card is your form of money and entertainment.  Putting $60.00 on the card  is no big thing. (Yeah, especially if your not the one paying for it.  There are other ways to get money to play the games at Dave and Busters. Depending on what meals you aquire,  you can get credit to some or many games.  Pity the company that did the moving chairs rides went out of business.  They cost a good chunk of change, but they were fun. Very few arcade rooms still exist today. The PS5, XBOX360 and the very kid like system called Nintendo Switch have all been dominating the arcade rooms.  Why spend 0.25 to $1.00 (which seemed pretty high paying $1.00 back then) when you can play a game over and over and cost you nothing. (Unless you are the one who bought the game and not your parents)   Ahh, the videos I enjoyed playing are now on systems. Most games you will find at Dave&Busters are racing games where you feel yourself moving with the game, to ticket collecting games and finally arcade games many of my generation knows like street fighter series,  P.O.W (Prisoners Of War),  Goonies,  Kung Fu, Donkey Kong and Mario brothers. Other games out there are shoot em up games like House Of The Dead,  CarnEvil, Buckrogers, Police Trainer and Resident Evil Biohazard. Many of these games are a lot of fun, but you might not see all of these games at a Dave&Busters.   Still, food, folks and fun can be found here at Dave&Busters.  Let the good times roll...don't forget to bring your face coverings. read more

I went to D&B this past Wednesday night (after 9pm) and it wasn't crowded surprisingly. I have been avoiding this place because I thought it would be super packed for at least a month but the place was pretty empty for half off game night. We got seated and served within 5 minutes however it took our server 15 minutes to bring our drinks. We ordered the bistro steak and shrimp with lobster Alfredo dish and the short rib and cheesy Mac stack. The food came pretty quickly however we had to wait to eat because we had to ask for silverware. I had the Alfredo dish which was good. The steak was cooked perfectly but it was kind of bland; nothing impressive. The shrimp was the best part of the dish. If I had a choice I would've just picked the shrimp and skipped on the steak. There were little lobster bits in the pasta but that wasn't that good. My boyfriend had the sandwich which was dry when it came out. The Mac and cheese wasn't cheesy at all and the short rib could've used some sauce. Overall it was a disappointment because I was quite excited about that dish. However the tater tots it came with were really good and crispy. They have a huge variety of games and multiple of each game so you don't have to wait. Although this D&B is a small one there were enough games to keep me entertained till closing and we didn't even get to try them all! Dave & busters is my favorite place. My boyfriend and I had our first date here when we were 16, over 6 years ago. We have spent countless hours here and even won D&B's $1000 ding ding ding giveaway! We are very familiar with this location, we love their games, staff, and delicious food! I have unfortunately moved to a location that does not have a Dave and busters, so when I visit my family I make sure to play all my favorite games. Although it happens seldom, one of our favorite games kept running out of coins. Thankfully their employee named Pedro(or petro?) assisted us with a pleasant attitude and made sure the game operated smoothly. He was awesome! Very attentive and kind the whole evening (even until closing time)! The excellent service and assistance Pedro gave us just further reminds me why this place is just so special to me. Pedro was one of the young men working on the evening of 11/23/2022. The customer service was ok but most of the games either crashed or was shut down due to social distancing, we waited about 30 minutes to be seated to eat because of a busy Friday when we finally sat down we waiting 20 more minutes just for our "waiter" to serve us we finally put in our order and then the manager came to the table at 9:40 and says " I'm sorry but we closed our bar already" at this point I'm so annoyed he offered us free food but I feel like that just isn't enough and now as we sit here waiting on food we still wasn't offered water or even something to drink while we waited.
