Here for my son's birthday. Love this place. We had a wonderful time and the service was spectacular

Mike's is always a go-to favorite of mine when having dinner with the family and friends. From the moment you walk in, an amazing experience. Please make a reservation, you won't regret it. Mike's has the best Waiters in the business! Ambience is great, you could spend days looking at all the historic pictures on the walls. I've tried almost everything on the menu, everything is excellent! I been coming here for over 20yrs, I highly recommend it. If you want exceptional service, delicious food, good value, and cloth napkins, Mike's is the perfect spot!

We were immediately seated - no reservation on a Monday night around 7pm. Food was on point and service was excellent. It was my birthday and I enjoyed every moment of it.

Mikes is one of the faves for a quick bite with good food. I sat at the bar so the service was great. The food came out in a reasonable time. The oysters with the salad was great.

Mike's American is one of my favorite spots in the area for a few reasons but tonight missed the mark. One of the reasons is the service is always on point. Our server tonight really didn't care about giving us the experience. She was inattentive and seemed like this was a job she really didn't care about. Second is the food although was still good, it was cold. My baked potato was obviously not a freshly baked one because it was not on top and cold in the middle. Well not really cold but very obvious temperature differences. Anyway, I will not trash the place because in the several times I've been here, this was the one time it was subpar. Hopefully a better experience if I come back.

I came here with some friends for lunch during December 2025 on a weekday. I did not realize how popular they would be. There is plenty of seating within the restaurant (two levels with an elevator and centrally located open staircase), but not enough parking when they are bus. Like some of the other reviews, I definitely recommend parking at the shopping center across the street unless you are feeling lucky. However, there are no immediate crosswalks...so be prepared to run/powerwalk with caution. During the holidays, the place was wonderfully decorated. It can be a bit crowded for really large parties. I definitely recommend making a reservation. The staff was professional and were accommodating for us - they provided extra plates/bowls for some of us who wanted to split an entree. The also took a great photo for us. Service was great overall; however, the timing was a bit off. I would've expected them to serve everyone's entrees at the same time. However, some members of the party had to wait a little longer for their food to be served. Somewhat understandable given how busy they were, but it still fell a little below my expectation. While here, we had to start off with the Ozzie Rolls. The bread and accompanying honey butter was so yummy. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. My friend and I ended up ordering the Lobster Bisque Soup and either the Drunken Rib Eye or the 5 Star Reserve Rib Eye Steak to share (photos showed only half of the serving). The Lobster Bisque Soup was yummy and hit the spot (especially with how cold it was). There's the saying that the meat speaks for itself...the Rib Eye Steak spoke to me. It just melted in my mouth and I savored every bite. In addition with the portion size, this dish was definitely worth the price. I definitely recommend coming here for a meal. It also seems great for date nights.

Mike's is a local tradition. It's a nice place with good atmosphere. Food is higher end bar food. It's in the pricier side but a moderately fancy place for Springfield. I got the prime rib and it was a good size portion and cooked just right. This is a fancy night out kind of place.

Still great spot. Standard service and ordered the Pork Chop w/ Brussel sprouts and Jambalaya. They were great. The pork chop was beautifully seared. Grab a reservation and dine in because it's a great experience.

I love this place!!! I've been here no less than 10x and have never had a negative experience. I'm writing about their consistency overall and my latest meal. A place like Mikes is always busy so it's best to make a reservation. I had one for 7pm and we were seated by 7:15. I had: Raspberry lemon drop - 10/10 - no notes Bread basket - 10/10 - this is a must whenever you go to mikes, even if you don't eat bread you must make an allowance when coming here. Calamari - 10/10 - the serving size is always good and the texture of the calamari paired with fried onions and the richness of the sauce. If I believed in a good or bad place, this is how I would know I'm in the good one. Half young chicken - 10/10 - served with mashed potatoes, corn salsa and a brown butter sauce this meal was literally perfect. The cold from the salsa was a great contrast in temperature and texture with the chicken and the mashed potatoes. My only regret is not asking for more butter sauce and salsa to go with my leftovers. Some of my favorites from previous visits: Tex Mex Eggrolls Bacon Cheeseburger Short smoked salmon - the mustard sauce is insane It's always busy inside so it's not a place for quiet conversation BUT if you have some salacious tea it's so loud in here you can get away with it hahaha. Parking is going to be your biggest hurdle here but if you show up after operating hours, the bank next door offers additional parking.

Worth the rave! Good food options. A great all American restaurant feel to the restaurant. The salads are amazingly good. Honestly the best salads offered in the area. Service was good. * Chopped house salad with bacon and cheeses- superb. * Pork chops- cooked to perfection * The salmon and mash potatoes- cooked perfectly

My husband and I have been coming here for over 15 years and the food never disappoints. The biggest plus is the service- this is Michelin Star quality service. The wait staff never stops moving. They are using 5 star service techniques when serving dishes, pouring water and clearing dishes. Every member of the staff acknowledges you walking by. The restaurant can be loud at times but they have accommodations for all- whether it's solo at the bar or a duo in a booth- or a large party in a booth or joint tables.

Everything was lovely! I went with my family for my birthday celebration and was surprised at the crowd on a Wednesday night! The place was packed! The food was amazing, the ambiance was abuzz with laughter, good vibes and impeccable service. Our server was so helpful in our final decisions, telling us about his favorites (there were many) and those that he serves a lot. The food came quickly, hot and it was delicious. What more is there! Go now!

Tasty! Huge restaurant with a very retro bathroom. Service was quick and easy even though it was busy. Parking is not the best there. I loooved the bread and the salad and steak as well. Complete satisfaction. Go, enjoy

Is there a time limit for lunch?

I would imagine that, after a certain time, the restaurant moves onward from their Lunch menu to their Dinner menu, but it's not listed on their website. And they do not close transition from Lunch to Dinner. Hope this helps...

I like the food at Mike's but it is way too noisy - for a classy restaurant it seems Mike's mgmt does care about ambiance (lighting & low noise). So when would be the best time to visit Mikes and also have low noise?

I’ve only ever been in the evening and it’s always loud

    Average price for weekend brunch?

Mike's does not have a brunch; however, all menu items are available similar to other days

Why does this place list "vegan options" when the only vegan options are a salad, and a few vegetable sides? When people are looking for restaurants that have vegan options, they are looking for the option of at least 1, but preferably 2 entrees?

Because they sell entree salads and technically those are vegan options some vegans might actually enjoy . The restaurant is known for their steak entrees so when looking it up for places to eat, maybe look up the background as well.

Are dogs allowed in the outdoor seating area?

There is a bench outside that you can wait.

Is there an "our story"? I'd love to know about the history of this place

Yes, on the Great American Restaurants (GAR) website. The link to it is here: https://www.greatamericanrestaurants.com/gar/AboutUs/OurStory

Dear reader,…read more Firebirds was a thoroughly lovely experience and exactly the sort of place one hopes for when the evening calls for a proper cocktail and a comfortable perch at the bar. We sat there for the evening and had such a fun time, due in no small part to the bartender, who was super nice, genuinely funny, and clearly knew their way around a cocktail. A charming and commendable combination. The atmosphere strikes a very pleasing balance. It feels warm and inviting with a slightly upscale air, but never in a way that feels stuffy or overly serious. Everything felt polished, the service was great, and the whole place had that easy, settled-in quality that makes you want to stay for another round rather than rush off to the next engagement. I also especially liked the Seared Ahi Tuna, which was absolutely worth ordering and deserves its moment of recognition. Overall, Firebirds delivered a very enjoyable evening with good drinks, great service, and an atmosphere that made lingering feel like the correct decision. We will absolutely be back soon, and happily so.

The atmosphere: The restaurant is spacious, and I like it when the outdoor area is open since it has a shaded setup and a fire pit. Otherwise, there's still plenty of indoor seating. The food: We started with the Korean Fried Chicken in the soy garlic flavor, which was probably my favorite part of the meal. It came out hot and crispy. We also ordered two rolls, the Double Toro Roll and the Double Salmon Roll. Both were drenched in a Japanese dressing or soy-based sauce, which caused them to fall apart almost immediately after picking them up. The flavor was overly sour and salty, making it hard to taste the freshness of the fish. Overall, the balance of flavors felt completely off. We also tried the Spicy Crunchy Tuna Bites, and to our surprise, the only crunchy element was a small part of the outer rice shell. Everything else was chewy and overloaded with mayo, so it wasn't a favorite for us. The service: The service was a bit touch-and-go throughout the meal.

I asked whether the Caesar dressing contained anchovies due to a pregnancy restriction, and although our server wasn't completely sure, he handled it with care and thoughtfulness. He brought the dressing on the side and offered to swap it entirely out of an abundance of caution, which meant a lot and showed how much they value their guests' comfort. And the food. Absolutely delicious. Every dish tasted fresh and authentic, and the sauces alone are worth coming back for. You can tell everything is made with intention and pride. Not what I expected but it will suit specific people looking for their offerings. Burton's Grill is your typical all American restaurant but focuses on serving all the dietary needs of Americans with allergies or not. The place looks new, the kind of place you wanna wear clean clothes at a minimum and not look slovenly. Outside sitting, full large bar, sports on several TVs above the center of the bar, and a lot of servers milling around here. Great lighting, not loud but not quiet either, just chill. We were starved so our eyes ate. Brunch was still being served till 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays so I grabbed the French Toast and the Steak and Eggs. My friend had allergies with gluten so she went with a salmon and some super salad dish. She was happy as all the dishes had markers for gluten free, food free, soul free, etc. Very helpful for all allergy infused humans. Great waitress btw. Fantastic service. Food came after some time, we requested for everything to come out on time. Steak and egg was okay but I'd go with the prime rib next time. The steak came out sliced with 2 poached eggs on top. The hash on the side was on point. Salmon okay too. Salad was okay but we should have added a protein on top. A little dry on dressing maybe but we could have requested more so that's on us. On the other hand, the French toast had me scratching my head. It was cubed challah bread but eggs was 0, zero, nada eggs on it. I thought I was eating croutons which would have gone great with the super salad dish thinking about it now. The French toast really bunched up my undies, French toast is my favorite breakfast thing you see. They explained it was prepped that way for allergy sake due to the egg. Well, I'm not allergic and never said I was, but my friend was but she wasn't eating my dish so why make it in this fashion. Overall, this experience was just okay. Nice environment and service but I realized how lucky I am not to be allergic cause if I have to eat French toast like this forever, I'm not sure what to do. Definitely not up to eating croutons with syrup.
