This review is based upon us always going one day of the week...Wednesdays! Why do we always go on Wednesdays? Thats because all of their games are half off! You definitely cannot beat a great deal like that at any other arcade! Now I use the term arcade lightly because they obviously are a unique hybrid of arcade and restaurant. The food is really good and the games are amazing. What me and my wife usually do is buy our gaming cards ahead of time, sometimes with a buy 20 get 20 free coupon. Then on Wednesday we come in, order our food, and go play games while we wait. They will let you know when your food is there and you can come back and eat. They have the absolute best arcade games you can find and they are constantly upgrading them and changing things around so you never get bored. They also are very generous on the prize tickets on some of the games. All those prize tickets go on your Power Card so you don't have them falling all over the place. If you haven't been here yet you should stop reading this review and charge on over and grab a bite and play some games! read more

Had dinner here with some friends and their kids. We had the not so fondue dip. Don't bother it's bad. I had a cheeseburger and fries. No complaints on that it was really good. I ordered a beer and it was so flat it had not one bubble. The waitress was worried the bartenders would not replace the beer but they did. My friend ordered wings and fries. The wings were bad and they forgot the fries. Bottom line is this place has awesome games but bad service and bad food. It is so overpriced for basic bar food as well. Not liking this place at all. My husband and I have tried giving this place multiple chances. The service is slow and the food lacks any flavor or consistency. First my broccoli came out raw, then when reordered, it came out drenched in butter and cream which makes o sense. My steak was ok but my mash potatoes lacked seasoning and it came out cold. The drinks were over priced considering that you couldn't even taste the alcohol. We asked our waitress if we could buy an extra shot for our drinks, and she said that that wasn't possible. Her explanation was that the bartenders could do that. For a bill of $92.00 this place isn't worth the food or the drinks, noT worth your time or money. Instead head over to World of Beers instead. Came here for a cute date with my husband and ended up getting a server who could care less about my food allergies and less to write them down and tell me it's okay to eat a appetizer that contains a allergy I told her ! Then when I asked for a manager she also could care less about coming over to the table to address the issue at hand ! Another manager was kind ( guy manager) and apologized for the servers actions and he offered other options but by then I was already ready to go ! Probably the absolute worst restaurant experience I've had in Syracuse. Came here with a party of 7 for my brothers birthday party. Had an hour way to get in which is about normal the mall on a Saturday at any of the sit down restaurants. We were sat and waited over 20 minutes to get our beverages. From the time we were sat, it took another hour and a half to get our food. Once it came out, half of it had to go back because it was cold or wrong. After the food ordeal was situated, the manager made his rounds and talked with us. He listened to our gripes, comped one of the meals, and gave everybody at the table some free play on the games which was appreciated. But after he came, the horrible service continued. I am still sitting here (2:15 hours in) and waiting for our checks. We've been done eating for over a half an hour. Everybody here has absolutely dropped the ball and it has been one of the most aggravating experiences, especially for somebody's birthday This is the second year we've gone here for my brothers birthday and this will be the last. If you like going to a bar to struggle to get attention to order a drink from one person, then waiting another 15min to be asked if you'd like to order food from another, then wait another 45 min to have your food delivered by another person then this is your place. Order was wrong, food was cold, and only one staff member could manage a smile and finally be attentive. When I tried to give a nice tip to only her, she took it and said "sorry I have to share it" my friend asked her to "please give the tip back then", she laughed and walked away. Probably one of my favorite places to go and have fun! The food is really tasty and the games are super fun! I have to admit I always come here just for the games. The food is like a 3.5/5, but the games are a 10/5! I highly recommend coming on Wednesday because the games are have price. They always update them, so if you haven't went in a couple of months you will probably see quite a few new things. One part that I really enjoy is going to get a drink from the bar and then going out and playing the games at the same time. They have little tables all around them so that you can sit the drink down and play. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to have a great time. I forced my boyfriend to go here when we went on a mall outing at Destiny USA LOL I told him if he went to Dave & Buster's with me and played some games we could watch the movie of his choice at the theater that night ha ha it's all about compromise baby!!! We got to play ski ball which was really fun and I love their basketball hoop games. It reminds me of when I was a kid ha ha Their racecar and motorcycle arcade games are awesome too! We killed a couple of hours here just wasting away points on the card so I could pick something out at the prize shop LMFAO! I ended up getting a ring and a bracelet! ha ha Too bad I didn't walk away with a stuffed animal :( The only down side was that their photobooth wasn't working. Food wasn't bad, nor good enough to really stand out. The $5 appetizers might have been the best part of the meal! The manager provided exceptional customer service when I was trying to figure out how to get another unlimited pass for video games when two of my children were sharing an entree. He decided to simply offer another card gratis, even after I explained I was certainly willing to pay for another. They wouldn't serve us at the bar to get drinks for the entire table unless everyone showed ID. This is one of my favorite places. But you should know that there are no pinball machines, which is silly. Pinball is the main reason I would go to an arcade. Also, the skee-ball game kept ripping me off, and when I reported it the person did not seem to care in the least, so I weirdly felt responsible to stand by the skee-ball to let people know not to put their cards in. Next time I go I will bring some post-its so I can write my own out-of-order signs. I love this place mostly because I can kick my husbands butt in all the games. Except air hockey. My girlfriends and I went to Dave and Buster's to celebrate one of my friend's birthday. We ordered mild buffalo wings, the Buffalo Bar Chicks, and a roasted turkey avocado BLT. The roasted turkey sandwich was good (who can mess that up), however, my other two friends were unsatisfied with their meal. The buffalo wings came out cold and the sauce was hotter than ordered. The buffalo sandwich also came out cold. All I can say is, we were pretty disappointed with our dinner. Overall, the experience was not that great. I've only ever been here to play games and drink, so I can't comment on the restaurant part of this place. I've been here a number of times, as it reminds me of the boardwalk where I lived before moving here because it has a few of my favorite games. So, they get nostalgia points right off the bat. However, this Dave and Buster's is just ok for a Dave and Buster's - the drinks are just ok (my advice - stick with the basics), the game selection is just ok, and it is a much smaller space than I was expecting. Overall, I've been to bigger and better Dave and Buster's. It is also pretty expensive - I would never want to come here with kids, as I can't image how much money you would end up spending! We recently had a buy $20 worth of game play, get $20 worth of game play free. We've been here twice on that $40 of game play already and still have game play left. So, my advice is look for deals if you go here. We have browsed the "prize" section, and it does have some cool stuff. You can also use your ticket points to get free appetizers, which I though was a nice idea. Overall, it is ok for what it is and I go in knowing that. I still like going here, as I miss CA so it is nice to play some skee ball or Deal or No Deal and reminisce. read more

Not a huge fan of games for tickets but whatever, the place is still great. If you do play the games just realize that the tickets are basically irrelevant since you're just going to 'win' some candy or something equally worthless as a result. So instead just play the games to have fun and give your tickets to some little kid. The food is good and service is good. The servers try to push the game cards a lot which is annoying and I don't feel like explaining why I don't want to play games to the server. This place can be a ton of fun if you go here to play the games. I go here quite often and try to go on Wednesdays when the games cost half as many coins. I usually go here and get a drink and the proceed to play the shooting and racing games, which totally reminds me of when I'd go to arcades as a kid. The food and bar service is very lacking. No matter how busy the place is, it always takes a long time to get your drinks or get any food. The food is not that great either, so I never go here to eat. I really only come here to hang out and play games and I think that if you come here for that reason then you will have a good time! read more

I'm am so glad I didn't waist any money here. I checked the reviews before hand and thought "maybe the workers were having a bad day or something" nope! Service was so bad walking in the door. No simple "hello and welcome" or any acknowledgement of any kind. Was planning on spending a good amount of money on food and games too but we decided to find some on thing different for our evenings entertainment. My friends and I came to Dave and Buster's for a girl's night out. They ordered the original bar burgers, while I ordered the bistro steak and shrimp with lobster alfredo. I also ordered a watermelon margarita, which was quite refreshing. The food is decent, nothing amazing. My only pet peeve about the food, was the service, as we did wait a while for our entrees. The newly built restaurant has a huge bar, where you can sit at and socialize with friends or meet new people. Booths are big enough to come with a group of friends, as well. Although the arcade games are fun, this place is missing a few pool tables for the older crowd. Personally, I could only stand being here for about 1-2 hours, as playing arcade games can get a bit tedious; however, I had an overall good experience at D&B. read more

Have been here multiple times for get-togethers with friends and the same themes seem to come up: Wait staff is a little slower than average, but are very friendly and charming which makes up for slightly longer wait times. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here food has always been tasty, as advertised on the picture, and not lukewarm (or like it's been sitting under a lamp for 10 minutes). Be prepared to wait for a drink at the bar, on more than one occasion I've been about 2 minutes away from asking if I can just go back and make my own drink since they didn't seem interested. Drinks are great once they are made, again just takes longer than it should to actually get your drink order in. This is where the 1 star come off. I went to Dave & Buster's for the grand opening party tonight and it was a lot of fun. D&B is split in to three parts, with a restaurant, bar, and "midway" (arcade). I had the chicken tenders, which I thought were good. They were really fresh and better than I had expected. To drink, I had two of D&B's "snow cones". The snow cone is rum, Cherry vodka, and some other good stuff poured over crushed ice. I really liked it and I would definitely get it again. All of their drinks seem to have a generous amount of booze but you don't really taste it. The main draw to D&B is the midway, which must have over a hundred arcade games. The games are all pretty different, so it is easy to kill a few hours here. The midway is a lot of fun, but it does get expensive after a while. The arcade games use a prepaid card instead of tokens and it does get a bit less expensive if you buy a higher quantity of credits. If you are going to spend $50+ in the arcade, you're much better off loading it on to your card all at once instead of recharging with smaller denominations. The staff was all very nice and was eager to engage with the guests. Overall, I think Dave & Buster's is a nice addition to Destiny. Having too much fun in the arcade can get expensive, but I think it is a great place to go once in a while. read more

I have been here numerous times, mostly in the middle of winter when there isn't much else to do... Or during the middle of the work week when I no longer feel like adulting. Either way, it's fun for what it is. I've never eaten food here, so I can't comment on that. Drinks were okay, nothing amazing. I do enjoy most of the games, like the giant connect 4 game :) The amount you spend on game tokens can easily add up, but sometimes they had deals. We had the Makers Mark Wing Sauce which is only available at Dave and Busters, the sauce was smokey and sweet. We love to try any wings that are unique or limited edition . The Wings were fatty, and hard to eat. We wish the quality of the Wing matched the great quality of the sauce. read more

I've written plenty of reviews where 5 stars turns into 1-2 on subsequent visits. It's my absolute pleasure to change this one in the opposite direction. Before, I complained about broken, out of date, and unclean games. It's been at least a year since we came into D&B and it appears much has changed. New games are everywhere. Very few games were inoperative and everything was very - very - clean. I was super impressed. After dropping $300 to give my kids, and their friends, a huge end of summer treat, we somehow had our card lifted as we were trying to cash in our tokens and cards from a game. The manager, Jen, and the lady working the rewards counter, Danica, were quick to help. In the end, we had all our tickets and then some. It was one of the best experiences we have had in a long time. Additionally, the new Jurassic Park VR ride is worth the extra cash. It's all my kids talked about. Thanks Dave and Busters Syracuse staff for really turning our experience around from last time. I think we may even try the food again next time. read more

Unfortunately I have to give this restaurant one star to be posted. The service is terrible, food quality poor and insult to injury, arrived cold. The manager, instead of offering solutions to my concerns, just offered lame excuses. The waitress arrived promptly after being seated and took drink order, it went downhill from there. There were mistakes in there to start with. We gave her our appetizer order and since everyone know their meal choice, ordered them also. Over 45 minutes later waitress arrived with 2 of the 3 appetizers we ordered. Got a refill order of drinks and disappeared again. The food was cold. As we started to pass food, manager and helper arrived with meals, told manager to cancel 3rd appetizer. Waitress came with drinks, asked if anything else needed, said please bring salt and pepper (apparently they don't keep available on tables). When we started on main courses discovered all meals were cold. Asked to speak with manager, she was apparently more concerned with food service at bar because she said "kitchen is slammed and they are behind because of so many customers at bar". Asked for check and they didn't get that right either, charged for item not received. Also waitress NEVER came back with salt and pepper. read more

Went there with my family primarily for games and drinks/new experience. Ate there out of convenience. Ugh. Terrible. Games and drinks: * beers were fine, but my frozen cocktail was totally weak. Restaurant: (pretty empty once we were sat) * we were seated promptly. * a nervous seeming server approached and said he was helping us because our server was out on a half hour break). By the time he came to our table, we had already taken some time to figure out our orders. * I had seen an order of nachos on another table, and it was a huge mound of nachos, loaded with toppings. So, I ordered that without the meat (vegetarian). * our food arrived, and we quickly realized we had no utensils. * THE NACHOS- an enormous platter of tortilla chips with a slight drizzle of cheese sauce, two giant globs of sour cream, about seven black beans, about five diced tomato pieces. My brother requested the guacamole on the side. It was in a tiny ramekin (what you might find a pat of butter in). We were so hungry, we just ate a few of the chips, only to find a sea of empty, cold chips still there. When we pointed this out to our server - still the first guy, since the other girl hadn't come back yet- he, in his nervous way, said he'd go get a manager. It took some time for this manager to arrive. In the meamtime... * my child's grilled cheese and fries came out perfect. I can recomme nd that dish, though the fries are very, very salty. * my brother ordered a side of mac and cheese and tater tots. I have had the Mac and cheese there, and it was a larger pasta with loads of cheese. This was a puny serving of bland kraft Mac and cheese. You had to lean over the bowl to locate it hiding and shivering in the bottom, lol. It was quickly blanketed in ketchup. Tots were good. * my husband and i ordered each of the two side salads. His garden salad looked great mounded up on the plate. My parmesan ceasar was puny and sad. Oh, it was at this point we had to ask for utensils. One roll of utensils was delivered, along with two random forks. No napkins. * the chips are still lying there naked and afraid. * finally, the manager arrives looking disheveled, sweaty, and annoyed. We tell her about the nachos and point them out (though she was already glaring at them). She says, "What? Do you want more queso?" Um... NO. We said we had already moved on to our other food and were turned off of the nachos at this point. She replies, "well, I didn't see them, so..." She stands there basically defensively debating about how the nachos came out that way, repeating that she didn't see them, yada yada. WTF? I had simply asked for them to be taken off the check. At this point, I cut her off and said, "please take them off the check- they are unacceptable." She says, "FINE" and stomps away... and leaves the platter of chips there, hogging up the table! At the very end, our server arrives and introduces the one who was supposed to be our server, but had just come in. Just an awful, sad, annoying, waste of money. Go for the beers and games.
