The main reason we came to the restaurant was the Duck meal they wound up being out of by 6:30 that night.My husband did choose as a substitute the braised lamb shank with the mint gremalata. Lamb was very tender, but 100% lacking in every way of the mint flavor. My swordfish was cooked perfectly, although plain and I was excited about turnips As I love them. Unfortunately they came out raw tasteless and inedible. I commented to our waiter and he said well they're Japanese so that's the way they are. All in all the dessert menu left us flat so we went out to another place for dessert & after dinner drinks. The percentage they add to your check for the back of the house gratuity is offensive. Just pay your people more and don't expect the diners to have to Pay up for your kitchen staff, as well as tipping the front of the house staff which got less of a tip because we had a tip the back of the house. Additionally, the fried shrimp inside of the slider still had the tail on and so it was a bit of a surprise to bite into a full tail while eating a slider. All in all, a cute spot to see people but food had some hit or miss components.
