Took 67 days to get my car back. I paid about $1500 out of pocket for rentals. Allstate effectively bankrupted me. Worst insurance company ever.

On January 6, 2025, Choice Home Warranty contacted me after their dispatched plumber diagnosed a…read moreplumbing issue at my home. When I returned their call, I was told I needed to pay $75 for another service call to re-diagnose the same issue. I refused and requested a supervisor, who transferred me to a resolution specialist. The specialist claimed the cost was now $100, as the repairs weren't covered under my warranty. When I asked for specifics, I was told the toilet needed replacing, the water line required replacement due to my home's age, and another toilet needed to be rebuilt. To verify, I invited my realtor to join the call. During the conversation, the specialist increased the charge from $100 to $200. Afterward, my realtor gave me a regional manager's contact information, but I chose not to follow up. Later, I learned the plumber had reported that the toilet's internal parts needed rebuilding and the water line required replacement because water wasn't entering the tank. My husband checked and discovered the real issue: a damaged hose. He purchased a Fill Valve Kit from Home Depot for $18.35, installed it himself, and the toilet now works perfectly. Does Choice Home Warranty vet the contractors they send out? It's seems like they are scammers and I would stay far away from them.

First American Home warrant covers upto $3,500 in Kitchen appliances. CHOICE just offered to replace our $3,800 Professional Duel POWER CONVECTION RANGE for $571. I dont know who CHOICE PAID for a 5 STAR Service rating. CHOICE gets a BIG ZERO in Customer Service and appliance warranty. As of today I am back with FIRST AMERICAN HOME WARRANTY. I recommend you switch your Home WARRANTY to FIRST AMERICAN HOME WARRANTY. before you too are financially made aware of the coverage difference!
