My husband and I did the first round of the reiki certification classes with Dave and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is on addendum to David Rasmussen's response to my review of his business. No, I did not say anything at the time of my last session (and you neglected to mention that I did not respond to your follow-up email). That's what often happens when people are shell-shocked, traumatized, intimidated by those who are dismissive of their viewpoints, like a black woman speaking out/against/to a white male in power who shows absolutely no interest in her view of the world. As you proved to me that day. You say that Reiki practitioners are in no way therapists. Yet you are dealing with inherently emotional and potentially spiritually damaging issues. What happens if a client of yours has so many emotions stirred up through your work that they commit suicide once they leave your office? What is your culpability then? I have always been a firm believer in the metaphysical arts and practices (as well as personal responsibility), but this is something that needs to be addressed. I cannot be the only one who has been left feeling emotionally vulnerable after a session. What I am talking about in terms of support is that you lack simple verbal mirroring techniques to make the client feel heard and cared for. I am not looking for deep Jungian analysis. Just an empathetic ear that hears what I have to say once the treatment is over. And you neglected to provide this. Perhaps less talking about your own personal life and plans in the future and more listening to what a client is trying to communicate and explore during their session would be in order. You cannot tell me that this is beyond your grasp. And if it is, again, you should find another line of work. read more

This was my first time experiencing the Reiki healing technique. I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. I have had several sessions with Dave and I have to say they have been life changing! I have had Reiki sessions in the past from top Spa's (Sanctuary, AZ) and practitioners, but none of them have compared to my sessions with Dave. Being a stressful person, I cannot tell you how much it's helped) SESSION: Dave spends a lot of time getting to know you. (you simply don't walk in, get a session and walk out.) You don't feel rushed and most of all. feel as if you wasted your money. My first session lasted almost 2 hours! I won't get into all the of the AMAZING experiences and results I've had (everyone is different), but I will share one experience from my first session. Dave spent a lot of time getting to know me. One of the things I happened to mention to him, was that for the past 3 months I had the worst case of heartburn. I am a very healthy person, I mostly eat sushi, fish, etc. But, no matter what I ate or drank, I would get heartburn EVERY single day.
