I love that they have some incredible vintage Wrestling Toys also, since I love collecting that, as well as He-Man, Transformers, and everything from being a child of the 80s. The pricing Is really fair also, the owner is so awesome, love chatting with him about Nostalgia. I even told him about my wife's obsession with Monchhichi and he had a vintage one there that he found for me. She was beyond excited when I brought that home. Truly is my new favorite store!

It's very clean inside good lighting. They have a little bit of everything from figurines, to classic games such as Nintendo's, pokemon etc etc. I look forward to certain vendors restocking once a week and seeing if I could find any treasures. I can find great deals on certain collectibles too! Every time I go I love how the guys are so nice and welcoming. They have great customer service and I really appreciate it. It is a cozy collectible store, which is nice to go visit randomly, regularly, or even after dinner that's what we normally do. I recommend bringing cash to purchase. Happy finding!

I brought in around 30 games I wanted to sell and he quickly went through them all while making conversation. He made me feel very welcome and always had a smile on his face. I also asked him a few questions regarding where I can sell my JP games and he gave me a bunch of different stores around the area that he knew would accept them! Thank you! I came by another time after work with just the intention to say hello and look at the new switch games. It was 5 minutes before closing and I saw that they were taking preorders for Pokemon US/UM so I asked if I should come by another time because I knew they had to close the store soon. James insisted it was fine and let us stay way past their closing time (Sorry!!). I came by again the other day in order to preorder Splatoon and a different sales associate rung me up. It was a completely different experience and I didn't feel as welcome. It just seemed like he was trying to get rid of me when I wasn't even there for more than 10 minutes. When he handed me my receipt he didn't say anything at all and turned around to continue talking with his coworker. :-(

writing to file a formal complaint regarding my experience at your Torrance store location today…read more I originally visited the Long Beach store on 4th St. looking for Resident Evil Requiem Deluxe Edition. The staff there informed me they were out of stock but confirmed that the Torrance location had 5 copies available. Based on this information, I drove 20 minutes to the Torrance store. Upon arrival, I spoke with a gentleman named John. When I asked for the game, he told me they did not have it. When I explained that the Long Beach store had specifically seen 5 copies in their system, he dismissively told me they didn't have any. He was very rude throughout the interaction. I am very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and the conflicting information provided between stores. I hope you will look into this matter. Regards,

Shoutout gamestop to your super helpful and wonderful employee Laura at the Torrance location. The…read morebest customer experience I've had in a while in any store. Traded in my launch #ps5 and a few games and got a bunch of physical games, mostly preordered: Saros, Pokopia, Pragmata, 007 first light. Still got a little bit to spare and will pick something else up but definitely be back at the store. Also not sponsored but I am a gamestop premium member and money well spent.

Gamestops get a bad rep these days, but I think its totally undeserved…read more As for this location, its pretty neat. There's all kinds of selection of games from used to new for pretty much all modern consoles. This particular GameStop might not bolster the most impressive nor robust inventory of games (usually missing more niche titles/harder to find games) but they do still have a nice selection of games to buy and most of the new titles are available at the store. As for customer service, the staff was pleasant and quick. They didnt try to hassle me about signing up for pro membership and just let me make my purchase. I copped Ocotopath Traveler 0 and Final Fantasy Xll The Zodiac Age, which was neat because they can be somewhat difficult games to find physically. Overall, I'm excited to keep coming back to this location and add onto my physical collection whenever I can.

I love this place since I am a huge bookie! There is a section dedicated to some best sellers that are only $1. Yes, believe it! You do have to search up and down the aisle, but they are there. You have the option of buying or selling here. From books, figurines, comic books, and video games, you can trade for store credit or a trading amount. In this location, the anime section is huge. There is a huge selection of Demon Slayer and Naruto collectible figurines. Some really cool stuff to find. As for the video games, they have some classics that brought back some childhood memories. You can even purchase old consoles which I might do some time. I would love to play on the OG Nintendo console for some Zelda or Duck Hunt. So if you are on a budget and looking for a cool gift for yourself or someone else, you can find something worthy of your wallet. No need to pinch those pennies. Happy shopping!

One is over by JCPenney while this one is right next-door to Macy's. The shop is on the upper level of the mall. Thus, you just have to grab the elevator, go to the far side of the mall, and there it is. Once inside, as is the case with all Book-Off locations, you will find tons and tons of books. What's unique about this location is that all of the books are only one dollar. Yes, one dollar. Every book in this store is just one dollar. And, they have some great books. Everything from sought after hardcovers by well-known authors, to tons and tons of paperback books on all subjects. Pretty much any subject, by any author, you're will find something here. Beyond just books, this Book-Off also offers tons of CDs. These CDs are also offered for only one dollar. So, if you're looking to grab some great music, this is an excellent place to do it. Just like the books they offer, they have a vast variety of CDs here. So, you'll really be able to find some great music from every genre of music that you like. Overall, this is a very self-serve style shop. You go in there, you seek out what you're looking for, you go up to the counter, you pay for it, and you're gone. It's a simple as that. Overall, if you're looking for a great book, a good CD, you're probably gonna be able to find it here.

I've had a disappointing experience here at Videomen and have been holding off on writing my review…read moreuntil now. I took my childhood Nintendo DS Lite to Videomen to get the top screen fixed as it was broken. I've been waiting for years to get the screen fixed and was excited to finally see it happen. When I came to pickup my DS, I noticed there was a popped pixel on the new screen. I told the guy who was working there who I think is the owner that there is a popped pixel and if he could install a new screen. He said he couldn't do that and all replacement screens have popped pixels. I ended up paying and still have a defective screen. I would never come back here or recommend this place to anyone.

AVOID this business…read more First red flag: the storefront looked abandoned, like it had been through an earthquake. I should have walked out immediately, but I didn't--and that mistake cost me. My PS5 fan connector broke and needed to be re-soldered to the motherboard. The owner said he'd diagnose it for $30 and let me know if he could fix it. A few hours later, he called back and told me he had already "fixed" the console--but now the fan would be "a little louder." Huge red flag. Any professional would update the customer and get approval before moving forward with an unorthodox repair. While my PlayStation technically works, the fan now runs at full speed and sounds like a vacuum cleaner--unbearably loud. With how hard the fan is spinning, I seriously doubt the console's longevity. When I called to ask for an explanation, I got a vague half-answer and was told to "just turn up the TV volume" to drown out the noise. Absolutely ridiculous advice. I've attached a photo and video for proof. Curious about what was done, I opened the console and found a sloppy, makeshift repair and a note taped inside in Sharpie that read "do not open." Unbelievable. On top of that, I'm pretty sure they deleted a save file from a game I had poured hundreds of hours into. For the record, I'm not a "Karen." I support small businesses that do quality work and communicate honestly. But if a repair can't be done without major tradeoffs, tell me upfront so I can make my own decision. Avoid this place. Find a reputable electronics repair shop instead. Edit: If you want a preview of the kind of person you'll be dealing with, read the owner's response to negative reviews--full of name-calling, excuses, and petty deflection.
