Gamestops get a bad rep these days, but I think its totally undeserved. As for this location, its pretty neat. There's all kinds of selection of games from used to new for pretty much all modern consoles. This particular GameStop might not bolster the most impressive nor robust inventory of games (usually missing more niche titles/harder to find games) but they do still have a nice selection of games to buy and most of the new titles are available at the store. As for customer service, the staff was pleasant and quick. They didnt try to hassle me about signing up for pro membership and just let me make my purchase. I copped Ocotopath Traveler 0 and Final Fantasy Xll The Zodiac Age, which was neat because they can be somewhat difficult games to find physically. Every time my Muslim wife and I visit, we experience blatant rudeness from an employee named Jonathan who is clearly RACIST. He consistently gives us attitude, dismisses our concerns, and makes us feel unwelcome. On top of that, I always run into "system errors" that prevent me from using my $5 monthly credit, and I even lost a $50 credit purchased with points because their system wouldn't process it before it expired. If I could this location 0 stars I would. I came to this GameStop to trade in some games and JOHNNY helped me out. He was extremely rude to me when he gave me my store credit. As he saw me returning to the cash register to redeem my store credit on a product, he turned his back on me, packed some things in a box, and walked slowly to the back when he could've just helped me out real quick so I could be on my way home. The staff here is very friendly and very knowledgeable about the latest Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo video game releases., the selection is great, and I always walk out of here with a new video game. I was recently able to trade in my old Nintendo Switch and upgrade it to the new Switch for my kids and the staff was able to give me a great deal so, I could upgrade my system. I came here to sell Madden 20 the day before Madden 21 came out. They told me that they were not doing cash buying, only store credit. I then asked if I come back tomorrow to buy Madden 21 pre-release and I trade in Madden 20 tomorrow if the trade in value will be the same. He said "definitely". Well he lied. Today I checked online and the trade in value went down more than 50%. Out of principle I will never shop here again because he lied to my face. I recently went in there to buy two games and when I asked about a used Mario game , one employee told me immediately "no we don't have that pre owned" however, right in front of me I saw it on the shelf , pre-owned, and held it up . That same employee apologized quickly, smiled , and said to their knowledge they didn't have any left and they were very kind and apologetic about being so quick to answer and explained why they said it so quickly. So the only reason why their rating is a 3 is because their system is always down. The phone line doesn't seem to work (I've tested in store) it's not them. Johnny and John are pretty helpful, and Sydney was great too. However, game-stops policies as a whole make this place a dubious endeavor sometimes. What I will say is, if you are friendly and are looking for help they generally are able to help you out Johnny is my go to person as he is always helpful and answers my questions. I have seen people acting stinky with them and take out their frustrations on them as if it were their will. Remember they are employees and need to follow protocol. I have had issues with return that aren't sealed and trying to get full refunds on unopened products all you really need to do is make sure that you ask all the questions you need to before you take your product home and you should be ok. One game was battlefield hardline game, which was only 5 dollars, it had a crack on the disc and was very scratched up! It is ridiculous that they would even take that game in! When I say I received the WORST customer service, I mean that. John the "shift leader/manager" at this store needs to be re-trained on how to handle an upset customer. As a manager you should acknowledge my frustrations and not yell and be disrespectful back to me. I bought a pre-owned Nintendo and other items worth $450. I purchased it at 7:30 pm one day and didn't get around to opening it and playing it until 2 days later, by the time I got the chance to go return it, I wasn't able to I guess because they only return items after 7 days that are pre-owned. Unfortunately, it had been 8 days for me. I was upset and stated that next time they should let customers know that after they purchase an item so expensive so they are aware, just like other stores do because a lot of people assume it's 30 days. Also, on the box it says 30 day return guarantee. They stated the box means I can return it if something is wrong with it and they will give me another one, well it doesn't state that on the box? So this game stop is huge. I went in today because my controller broke and they were fast at helping me when a lot of other GameStop's in the area are slow as heck. I was helped by Luis and he was efficient. The assistant staff lead, shorter girl with a very happy attitude, she was awesome. Spoke about how big the GameStop was and she was very friendly and explained clearance items extremely well. Leaving they said goodbye and I don't know.... I guess I felt like this was the first time that a employee at GameStop actually wanted to help and wasn't just "Do their job." Cool people. That staff lead though, she's great. Pay her more. Update as of 6 hours later. The controller sold to me was faulty. The right stick and button and Y button were stuck in place. Will be back tomorrow to get a new one that works.
