I have had to use them more times than I admit on my newer Maytag commercial quality washer. Their service tech have always been very good with communication and have done a good job repairing a very expensive piece of junk. After four years the washer is now unrepairable but instead of trying to talk me into fixing it they were open and honest. Will definitely use them if needed in the future. read more

I called for service department , and was able to schedule an appointment the next day! We had a service guy come to the house today and he refused to pull the washer out from it's space to check why its leaking water. He asked my 73 year old Mother to help him! When i called to schedule an ove repair, I gave them the model and year it ws purchased. When the service man arrived and started working he said that he could not replace the thermostat because of the age of the oven and the fact that the parts were after market. I was charged $119 for nothing. They knew ahead of time and shojld have been honest and told me then. Evidently they are not honest and just want a servoce call fee to tell you they cannot fix it because of thepart problem. The replacement parts are available but they wil lnot replace them. read more

For example, today's range repair was completed at 10% under the quoted amount. Third, their technicians are highly skilled. Dylan did an outstanding job today with respect to replacing the faulty infinite switches on our range, and answered all of our questions accurately and professionally. Fourth, their communication is excellent. Barb in the office responds to all email inquiries promptly and accurately, and the owner Dave--though no longer active in day-to-day operations--still responds to communications. My 2 year old dryer started making a loud clunking noise. The first place I called wanted to charge me $90 to walk in my door and then $25 for every 15 minutes thereafter. When I contacted Dave Smith Appliance, the customer service was friendly and competent. My appointment was made for the next business day. I got a call back giving me a time frame and the name of my service tech. I was told I'd get a price for the repairs before any work was started. The service tech was friendly and competent. Do not use Smith Appliance and Repair. They came to give us a quote told us what part we needed took our money and were never to be heard from again. We called them for 2 months and were able to reach David one time and he said the part is delayed. That was over 7 months ago! After I figured out that the technician lied to me about the parts I needed, I canceled the service appointment that I had already paid for. Over the last week, I have been experiencing problems with both my fridge and freezer and it was recommended that I contact this company. From scheduling the appointment with Judy and DuShon arriving for service, I couldn't be more pleased. Both very professional, and concerned about my problems. DuShon was very personable, allowing me to ask questions and didn't seem put off by answering them. He informed me about what he believed to be the problem, gave me a quote and didn't force the repair on me. I like that he gave me cleaning/maintenance tips and wasn't here just to sell me a part. We have used Dave Smith Appliance Repair for a few years now, and most recently for a wall double oven repair and I can't say enough about the quality of the employees of this company. Matt came out on original call and check unit, informed me of potential problem but didn't pressure me to get repair done right away. After a few days I did decide to go ahead with repair ordered part and Michael and John came out fixed it and informed me how to keep ovens from breaking down again.
