ACE appliance is the first place I call for any appliance repairs / issues. First of all, it is a family owned and operated business and I love supporting them. Secondly, when I call, the woman is always friendly and can easily find my appliances and records of service. The technicians can be scheduled quickly and I don't have to wait days and days for them. Finally, the service technicians are professional and courteous. They know what they're doing and they are able to clearly communicate the problems, the needs to repair, and the cost. My last technician, Ross, was wonderful. He's been to my house multiple occasions. He noticed that my dryer was to be repaired, and he recalled that he had been the last person to repair it, so he wanted to make sure everything was OK. Incredible service! He could have known the problem the first time had he bothered looking! He reset the fuse the 2nd time (did not need replaced) then took him 3 hours to determine the problem! He could have reset the fuse the 1st time out had he know what he was doing and saved another pointless trip that wasted 3 hours of my time! Who could trust him at this point. read more

Kraig the Technician from ACE Appliance was sent out to fix my washer. He tried to fix it but could no longer find the parts to service the unit. He recommended several replacement products and informed me on what was the best approach in replacing the unit. He explained about the difference in washer today Vs old washers. Matt, I stand by my earlier review. There was only one technician who came out to repair the microwave above my stove. It took him all of 5 minutes to diagnose the issue and perhaps 20 minutes to replace the blown fuse. I still think $124 was an exorbitant amount to pay. Also, I have never in my life owned a BMW so I don't understand your comment nor it's relevance, except to try to malign the integrity of my review. read more

Scheduler A+, Technician #1 C+, Technician #2 A+ and Service manager "Sam" CAPITOL a-hOLE. I has Ace out to my house in November. Our dryer belt broke. The technician just happened to locate a belt replacement and fixed the dryer in a very quick manner. I don't remember exactly on costs but let's say $90 for service call, $50 for belt and $75 for labor. Fast forward to last week. Our felt pads started going bad. It was leaving brown marks on our clothes. Contacted Ace and they set up another apt. Nice kid came out and he diagnosed the problem immediately. Here's where my problem starts. He stated that there is a "Repair Kit" for my dryer. It includes a belt, bearings and felt pads. It costs about $75 more than what I paid for the belt. Although, my bearings weren't acting up, he recommended that we should probably do the whole thing. I agreed since it was only a few bucks more. My problem is...why didn't Tech #1 advise me on this? I now have an extra belt sitting on top my dryer. So I thought, why not ask their customer service department about it. After 2 emails and no responses I decided to give them a call. I got "Sam" their service manager on the line. Let's just say the call went south pretty quick. He insinuated I was accusing his employees of "not" upselling me. Which doesn't make any sense at all. I simply was inquiring as to why one technician didn't ask me what the 2nd technician did. Doesn't it make sense to provide a customer with all the options and let them make a determination of what they want to do? I think so. Sam is not a nice guy. It showed in his customer service skills. He was rude and down right argumentative with me. I didn't even get a chance to propose an equitable solution to the problem that was good for both parties. After his 3rd or 4th flat out rejection for no solution I said this is not how a business is run. I won't be calling back again and his rebuttal was "good - we don't want your business". Well Sam - guess what? You won't have to worry about my business. You've already pulled my Google Review. Good luck pulling this one. Respectfully, Michael U. I am giving 2 stars because the service was not satisfactory. We called this company from a recommendation from a current customer. We like to support local businesses as well. it's a nice company...family owned, local, convenient. The employees were all nice. The issue is that they came out for a service call but were unable to complete the repair because they couldn't read the model number. The dryer belongs to my 91 year old mom who has dementia so we have no clue where the paperwork is. Unfortunately they still charged the service fee. while I understand this is how they make their earning, I do disagree with charging a fee when you are unable to complete the repair. I get it if we would have declined, but it was the company who was unable to complete their part. I also understand they could not read the tag for the model number, perhaps it would have been a better call to clarify that before they came out. This isn't a complaint regarding the business, just sharing my experience. I think they are probably a good company in general but this call was not. If you have them come out for repair make sure you have access to the information they might need to save yourself $99. read more

Terrible customer service! I called to reschedule my appt & the service manager set the new appt date. That day came and no one showed up. I called and was told I was not on the schedule and that the service manager refused the appt. I was not notified of this, and the owner Matt, was extremely rude over the phone. Ace Appliance was the Certified repair and service company that Whirlpool originally scheduled to come out. We have a new Whirlpool washer that was purchased in August 2018, which has been having a lid lock issue. The washer keeps periodically staying locked even after the wash cycle is done and washer indicates that it is complete. Ace Appliance called and scheduled an appointment for a few days later within a 2-hour window, which they called with a reminder the night before. Originally, Ace Appliance's service tech, Brian V, came out, quickly diagnosed and replaced the lid latch mechanisms and said if the problem persists to call them back out to replace the control board. Brian V was polite, prompt, and professional during the short time in our house. A month later, actually during New Year's Eve, the washer did the same thing. I called and opted to leave a message for call back since it was not an emergency. On the 2nd of January, they called and had several days to schedule with a 2-hour window. Ace Appliance was able to get in contact with me before Whirlpool's customer service, which I was attempting to contact via online chat and phone. Again, the night before I received a call as a reminder. They were prompt and called 10 mins out. Brian V with another tech, maybe a trainee, was sent back out and was fast at replacing the control board and testing to make sure it was working properly. Again Brian V. was polite, professional, and quickly attended to the issue. All in all I would use Ace Appliance again and recommend them to anyone who may need service. My wife also was comfortable with Brian coming out while i was not home. Everything was covered by Whirlpool warranty and we'll see if this fixes the issue. If not Ace Appliance will be back out and I'll update if they do. read more

Based on my address their computer should have shown them that we have given them a lot of work over the years. And BTW always been a great job at fair price. Why I will be moving on is they base their marketing as same day service and we charge the same no matter what time and weekends. BS in the new world of coupons I told the girl I had a coupon as instructed I thought great took service call from 80 something to 20 something. She then said coupon only good during 9-5. So much for their marketing plan same day anytime same price. I just hate when companies are misleading. Anyway if you don't work for a living and don't have to take a day off work to get something fixed, they really do a nice job. I guess I will try A B C they say same price no matter what but they have a coupon also so we will see read more

I had a horrible experience today with one of their repairmen today. Sam was argumentative from the very first moment he contacted me on the phone to say he was heading over. It got worse when he got to the house and he insisted on replacing a part that was brand new and never used. It's a shame too because I have used them in the past with successful outcomes, but this guy gave the company a "we don't care because we're the expert" kind of attitude. Sam should not be in the service industry because his bullie tactics didn't work on me and they sure don't look good for the company. Sorry to say I will never use them again as long as I think Sam is still working there. read more

Charged $430 to replace a $30 heating element for my oven. Had to remove two screws to insert new element.I investigated afterward and learned there workers work on commission and thus they are incentivized to over-charge. Now I just go to Lowes and explain the problem. They order needed parts and answer questions so I can do it myself. read more

I bought a refrigerator in December 2017 and notice two weeks ago that my ice cream was soft. I bought a refrigerator thermometer and I found that it would only register 0(freeze) and 40(frig) when it was at the coldest setting. I call the manufacturer and they said that something was wrong, it should register 37 and they would send someone out to fix it. ACE arrived today. The repair person sat in the van for over 5 mins talking on the phone. Once he came in my husband told him what was wrong-food was too warm unless it was set at the coldest temp. The repair person said that it was at the right temp and that it was ok. I called ACE when I got home to see if they would send him back since it had only been 10 minutes since he left and they transferred me to the service manager, Sam. I left a message. I then called back and asked if Sam had left for the day and was told he was still there. I said then I would wait for his call. A little while later my phone lit up but didn't ring and I thought it was him. I had my husband call my phone and it went to voice mail so I thought I missed his call. I called back and Sam answered. He said he had caller ID and that I had called them "10" times. I told him that wasn't true and I tired to explain what happened concerning my phone but he wouldn't let me talk. He said that the repair man said the frig was at the right temperature. I tried to explain again that it would be because it was set at the coldest temp for almost a week but he called me rude and told me he would give me the number for the Manufacturer. I told him I had it that is how his company was contacted. I also explained that the repair person was in my driveway talking on the phone for over 5 minutes and he said "that is nether here nor there". This was the most frustrating experience I have had in a long time. I do not recommend this company. read more

I was happy that a technician came out the same day that I called. He was not the most efficient employee. Although he diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes, he disappeared to his van for about 30 minutes to determine if he had the part which he didn't. He said he would be back the next day between the hours of 6:00-8:00pm. When I hadn't heard anything by 7:50pm, I called his cell which I had from the previous day and left a voicemail. He returned the call and said he was running late. Then he called again and asked if he could reschedule for 2 days later. I had already been stuck waiting for the last 3 hours. He called a third time to say it was snowing where he was and asked if it was snowing where I was (just flurries). At 9:05pm he called to say he was on his way, then at 9:30pm he called to say he was not coming because it was snowing and he doesn't drive in the snow. It seriously was a dusting of snow. Called the company to complain, got a answering services. She said they open at 7:30am and she would have a supervisor call me. No one called. I would not recommend this company. read more
