I was out of town when my husband decided to look at a new car. He spent a couple hours with Zac showing both the Rogue and Murano. My husband said he answered all his questions and easy to work with. We were also trading in a Murano. This was not our first time buying a car from Dave Wright. This would be our fifth time purchasing a new vehicle from them. When I returned from my trip we both worked with Zac but unfortunately ran into day off so we worked with Mercedes. She was very personable and knowledgeable and soon we decided it would be the Murano although the Rogue was so much better than the year I had a Rogue so I was very impressed with the changes Nissan made on the Rogue. Mercedes made herself available to us and answered any/all questions we had. I'm not sure we got the best deal on trade-in but saved us from selling it ourselves. Because everything is electronic and cameras everywhere, I'm impressed that Mercedes knew how to work everything on the display panel. I'm still learning myself. I would recommend highly using either Zac S or Mercedes to help you choose a new vehicle. No one was a hard sell, even finance. They just wanted us to get what we wanted. On Wednesday we purchased a new 2025 NIssan Murano from Woodhouse Nissan in Omaha (we are from Des Moines). On Friday we were visiting family in Marion. When driving the new Murano we were unable to get the cruise control to activate and maintain a steady speed. We stopped at Dave Wright Nissan and were greeted by Landen Bowser, service advisor. Landen listened to our concern, made the adjustments, and instructed us on what we were doing incorrectly. Landen could not have been friendlier or more accomodating. My son went to the dealership for an estimate on some work and they came back with nearly $8k worth of repairs that were needed, but including a head gasket. Three other shops found $1.5k in needed repairs. The head gasket was not leaking. Needless to say, I advised him to stay away from the dealership. read more

I bought a preowned vehicle from Dave wright 4 years ago , 2017 Chevy impala at first I thought it was to good to be true , soon I'd figure out otherwise. First the car wouldn't start took it in a few times was told there was absolutely nothing wrong with it , okay cool so it's just not starting and that is normal. Now when I bought the car the guy had me get this great warranty that covered everything right . Wrong ! I've paid and outrageous diagnostic fee everytime I take my car in which is ridiculous since I have such a great warranty . I was told by brakes plus my ac compressor needed replaced well I call Dave wright and they say my warranty covers that! Perfect. Take it there pay 211 dollars just for them to look at it and tell me it's not my ac compressor and that it's something completely different and quote me around 2700 dollars . Talked to Amy the day before my appt and ask if they can do an oil change and she said she would call me back and let me know tells me they can do the oil change when I go to pay to get my car back I paid 211 just for them to look at my car and had no idea I was wanting an oil change just a cluster at this place and would avoid at all costs . I've spent so much money in diagnostic fees just to be told nothing is wrong . And make sure not to get the premier warranty because they don't want to do the work when you clearly paid for this warranty . Folks, don't EVER, EVER go to Dave Wright Nissan on Centrr Point Rd. Cedar Rapids. Never have I been so raked over the coals. The deception, the straight out lies. I went there for a second opinion, $1800 later my car was WORSE! The service engine light was on. I can't drive it on the interstate. I took it back in and was told the transmission was really bad and I NEEDED to have it worked on ASAP. They just worked on it. When I pressed them. They wanted to charge me for yet ANOTHER diagnostic run up. After one staff telling me they do one before then after. Then another telling me they NEVER do that. So after having my car for 8 hours, I was told the spark plugs were horrible and that's why my car was so bad. They gave me a quote of $500 to change them. But then also added a bunch of other stuff. My estimate was now over $2200. I tried talking to Dave Reif, supposedly the manager, (not sure of rhe spelling). He barely made eye contact and had me go to poor Landon. He was a wreck. One could tell he, Landon, was not liking the BS he was told to tell me. When I asked why the car showed WORSE, he said 2 different techs did the diagnostic. So I asked him which one was lying. I bought a 2019 Nissan Armada Platinum with 15,000 miles one year ago for $55,000 from Dave Wright. Since then we have had nothing but problems (4 major problems) and horrible customer service to say the least. I spoke with Tyler Wright a week ago and my wife had the Armada there getting work done to try and correct the latest problem. I told him that if it were up to me they would buy the car back at what we gave since it was a far from perfect vehicle, but i knew that wouldn't happen, he said they would see what they could do. I called Tyler back yesterday to find out the verdict of them HELPING us was, that they would buy the 2019 Armada Platinum Reserve with 30,000 miles, from us for $35,000. I told him that they made money the first time a year ago and this wasn't helping anyone but them. Me and my wife eating a $20,000 loss was helping us, REALLY!! I told him i thought I went to DAVE WRGHT NISSAN but apparently went to DAVE WRONG NISSAN. So I hung up. 10 minutes later Mark the sales manager CALLED me back! I Capped CALLED, I will tell you why! He asked if we had a bad connection and I said no I hung up, I explained the problems over the last year and I knew I may have to eat some of the loss, but NOT the whole thing. He went on the tell me how they were giving me more than book and they were incurring a loss. I explained not $19,000 or $20,000! This showed me how they wanted to help and stand behind what they sell and how much they care. This is the problem with business today, no accountability!!! I ran a business and truely took care of the customers i had even if I had to get the checkbook out and give back profit!!!!! Mark explained that he cared, he called me back. Very gracious of him!! Call me back with a pat on the back for him to call, and a $20,000 loss kick in the BUTT for us!! I was very frustrated!! Still am!! Continued to tell me they were taking a loss also on offering me more than book at $35K. Today I went onto JD Power and rough Adjusted Value is $34,900, CLEAN retail is $41,050. Sounds like they were taking a major loss to me!! You DECIDE!!! I almost forgot, Mark told me that the used car market is down 20% thanks to PUTIN, gas, and we had bad tires and bad brakes hurting the value!! I explained to him that adds to the list of grievances that they sold us a car that had bad brakes and tires cause we put 15,000 miles on it and that isn't enough miles to wear down the brakes or tires!! Long story short if you want to do business with someone that doesn't stand behind a vehicle any better than this go ahead!! Watch out for the finance managers and ask to see an itemized list with the individual prices for everything on their recommended service plan. There were calls going back-and-forth and the finance guy acted like he got us some great deal and said they could get the car undercoated for an extra two dollars a month (which we had been quoted $1200 for and didn't want). When we ask him how it's was only $2 a month he said that the finance companies liked the cars to be in better shape if they had to be repossessed so they could give us a better rate if it was under coated. What actually happened is they found a better finance rate and wanted to absorb it by upselling me an undercoating. If they tell you something similar just get up and walk out. This place tries to nickel and dime you for everything like nitrogen in your tires, key fob warranties, tire/ding coverage and make they make it difficult just to just buy a Subaru extended warranty. They found exactly the car we wanted and still got all rebates, sale discount, trade in value and zero percent financing. For a car dealership, Dave Wright does everything right at personal level. They have very well educated sales associates who will help you with your care purchase. Once you have purchased a car, they will have a whole lot of personal communication from owner himself, head of every department and a customer satisfaction survey. The new facility is very nice and clean, well situated off the highway. Service department is quick and efficient. Will never recommend this place to anyone. I didn't even buy my car from here but the pervious owner did. It was still under warranty when I bought it. The radio had a recall on it and they had to replace it since it was under warranty it took 7 MONTHS to get a new one. I would understand if it was on back order, but though they said it was it wasn't. A different employee called me when I didn't come to my appointment (because they told me not to because they didn't have the radio in) and told me that they had the radio the whole time. Then when I show up to my scheduled appointment Caleb tries to tell me they still don't have it, I had to badger him to go in the back to look and guess what they did have it. This was a terrible experience and not to mention it took forever, they never once apologized for any inconvenience and Caleb was very rude. We bought a used Toyota Prius in early January. The car was a fair price. Like new on the inside. The outside was not perfect, fixable. Last week we got the car inspected by a QC Toyota dealer that we know well. They informed us the car needed over $2000 of work , including badly needed brakes, oil leaks etc. I called the sales manager and he said there was nothing they could or would do about it. He proceeded to admit the car had not even checked for safety because it was sold as is, most used cars are sold as but not unsafe. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. I emailed them about it and they assured me they would enter it. Nope, never did. I tried Jim Miller's Nissan for a regular oil change and service check. My check engine light was on and I wanted to be extra safe during this winter's flurries. I was greeted by Ron the service chief for the day and he was very helpful in getting my car fixed on a Saturday. They usually only do oil changes on Saturdays. I really appreciated their efforts and they didn't offer the "we need to fix everything" concept. Ron told me that we'll try to fix one of the issue first and go drive it around and see if the light came back on (requiring the second part to be replaced). This was a totally different experience when compared to Carousel Nissan when they "encouraged" additional services. This is a horror story! I bought a Nissan for cash 3 years ago! I live in Arizona and my brother Dave age 60 is driving my car from Anamosa to Cedar Rapids to work at Mercy Hospital! Yesterday he called me to tell me that an indicator light showed low tire pressure in one of his tires! My brother Dave has a learning disability but has worked as a janitor and in the laundry at Mercy Hospital for 27 years! He makes less than $700 a month! He faithfully mows the grass at St Pius Parish once a month. My brother called me yesterday because he is driving my Nissan and a light indicator showed low tire pressure so he took it into the service department at Dave Wright Nissan in Cedar Rapids . My brother is instructed to call me for approval of anything other than oil changes! He said " They told me I need 4 new tires" I told my brother.. " No.. we are not buying 4 new tires because of a low tire indicator " I said call our brother Rob in Texas who knows cars! My brother told Dave the same thing! I called Dave 2 hours later to see what was decided and he said " They changed the air filter and drained the brakes and billed me $700 My brother Rob spoke to the service manager... who should know my brother Dave.. as Dave has his oil changed at Dave Wright every 5000 miles! My brother Rob first spoke to Ashley who said that they changed all of the fluids! I went there looking for a new Ascent. It was my first stop, so I was in the information gathering step, with maybe a test drive. I was stalked by a salesperson as soon as I closed my car door, which was way too soon. He talked about the vehicle some, but seemed more interested in telling me about himself. Then I got a test drive, but before I could put it in drive, I got a ten minute lecture about every feature, most of which won't matter for the test drive and half of which I'll forget anyway. Then we went inside, and I explained that I only wanted information (brochure). Instead, it was all about answering his questions to fill out his little blue form to make sure he fills his quota. I'm trying to leave with a brochure, but he has to call two people and talk to a third person before I can get my brochure. I would go elsewhere if I could, but the next closest dealer is an hour away. If I had to come back here, I don't even want to see the same guy. He completely put me off. I ended up buying a Toyota because I thought it was a better vehicle for me, but if it wasn't for our salesman's tactics, I probably would have put more consideration into the Subaru. read more

First of all, I wouldn't recommend a Nissan Rogue. I bought a new Rogue in 2016 and had numerous problems with it. Most issues were intermittent and occurred at random. I understand some issues were difficult to replicate. The final straw was not knowing the tail lights were not working until someone followed me and told me they weren't on. So, I went to the dealership and upgraded to a 2018. It seemed to be working well until recently (1 1/2 yrs.) after I purchased it. The navigation system wouldn't work and again, I had no tail lights until someone alerted me. There are apparently several "computerized components" that have to be updated. I guess you don't know until something doesn't work. The sales people make you feel very welcome when you are purchasing a vehicle. I took my 2018 in last week (11/6/19) because the navigation system didn't work when I needed it and the tail lights weren't working. I called at the end of the day and was told they wanted to keep in another day to go over it thoroughly and gave me a loaner. I called the next night and there was no update, so I was told to keep the loaner. I didn't hear anything on Friday. Since the service department isn't open on the weekend, I called Monday afternoon (11/11/19) and no one could tell me if any service had been done. I told them I wanted my vehicle back fixed or not. When I got there, it took them almost a half an hour to get my vehicle. Since it has snowed the night before, it was obvious it sat on their lot without anything being done as it was covered in snow. And, they couldn't find anything wrong. However, when I went to leave, I had no tail lights (in the auto select). I don't believe anything was done on my vehicle. I don't usually give bad reviews; but with this place I find exception. Had a vehicle in for service - while it was easy to set an appointment. Upon arriving - it all went down hill from there. You can't chalk it up to new building/ disorganized - rather horrible attitude by service manager. It took several attempts always repeating myself to get manager (Keith) to acknowledge the issue. If incompetence was not enough - the lacking of customer service skills and care leaves a lot to be desired. I am not a regular online rater or complainer but feel compelled to write. I don't write this with a sense of bitterness or malice but with a bit of sadness. I simply want to present experiences and let others reach their own conclusion. I purchased my first Subaru from Dave Wright in 2012 and a second in 2017. Since 2012, I have had my vehicles serviced exclusively by Dave Wright Subaru. What started out as an excellent experience has become something much less satisfying over the past few years. In the spring of 2018, my Subaru was leaking. The technician was unable to find an issue. It continued to leak for another month. I took it back and spoke with Tom, a top notch service advisor who, unfortunately, has since left. A faulty transmission seal was the culprit and repaired under warranty. Next, was a leaking tire. I took it to Dave Wright and, after a few minutes, was told nothing was wrong with the tire. After another week of commuting on 380 and continuing to fill the tire, I took it to Marion Tire where a nail was found. I received and responded to a follow up email from the dealer. That response has yet to be answered. Lastly, I went in for an oil change. I asked the service advisor to quote me a new windshield as mine was cracked. After waiting an inordinate amount of time, I noticed my car sitting in the parking lot. I approached a different advisor who told me he had looked for me twice. All the while, I was sitting in the show room. My phone number was front and center on the invoice. It didn't occur to this young man to call me. I guess he figured I would eventually wonder where my car was and find someone for help! No use making any extra effort. Oh, and no quote on the windshield. For these reasons, I cannot recommend Dave Wright to a friend, family member, colleague . . . . . or you. But, you are free to make your own choice. I, for one, will not obtain further service at this dealership and because of that, sadly, I will not purchase another Subaru. read more

I have been impressed with Dave Wright's crew since day 1. That was a car ago. First most dealerships are difficult to deal with when you are female ,Dave Wright has been a blessing. I never had to haggle. Just a good square deal. Second their service department is the best. I had a serious problem with my first car and they never hurried or made me feal inferior for all the issues. They truly put some serious work and thought into fixing the car - it was just one of those things that was elusive. We finally came to an equitable agreement since they couldn't fix it. I am now driving my second Murano. I sing their praises all of the time to my friends including my husband. He needed a new truck, we went to several places. I convinced him to talk to Dave to see if he could find what my husband was trying to find. My husband was so happy with them he also purchased a new truck from Dave..
