Service is great!! Dominique & Nelly are awesome bartenders. The food is decent, but the service is what really makes the restaurant.

But.... the service is absolutely awful, like really bad at night. I have been here 3 times, once for lunch where the service was good, but the kitchen was slow. And twice at night, where the service was slow and the kitchen was slow. And at night, they have all the lights on like if the bar was going to close. And it is like that all night. I think they are trying to be more of a restaurant, but let's face it... Davenport's Sports Bar is a dive bar with the lights turned all the way up. Seems like industrial style lighting on a manufacturing scale. The food is okay. It is bar food. Did I mention how bad the service is? There were 5 servers including the bartender, couldn't figure out if there was a manager, but I got the impression that they are just disorganized. In any case, bad service means low or no tip and more beer so that's a win. Not going to go out of my way to visit here again. It just is not worth it.

We had the Korean barbecue and sweet chili for the boneless wings and we have barbecue for the traditional wings and they're all good. The Korean barbecue does have a little bit of spice to it but still good. The fries were great and crispy! The salmon was the perfect for a gluten-free, clean plate option for lunch. It was clean inside and wasn't very busy so it was quiet which we appreciate!! We'd come back to try other options !!

Great service, check (Ted & Liz were AWESOME). Thinking about becoming a regular at 1845 Tap House. For food, they have a limited menu, and also food trucks. I stumbled into 1845 Tap House on a Friday night after a long day at work without expectations. This is the part where I say, "and then I fell in love." They have a great selection of liquor and craft beer on draft. And they even have food. And did I mention the drinks are super reasonable. Wanted to set a tent up outside and stay, but I am sure that is not allowed. There was a guy on guitar crooning. Oh, and their house beers are awesome. The BEER: 1845 Shape Shifring Lizard IPA 6.3% ABV... OMG, this IPA is slightly juicy and well balanced. 1845 We Wants the Red Head red ale 5% ABV... this red ale is an all day Irish Red. Delicious. 1845 Drop the Puck imperial hazy IPA 9.8% ABV... so very good, juicy and sneaky, because 2 or 3 of these and you will be Ubering home. 1845 Secret Stash imperial Stout 10% ABV... like coffee, semi sweet dark chocolate and a hint of peanut butter. This is a better version of Sweet Baby Jesus, if you are familiar. FIRE!!!! And I found out why the draft here is exceptional. Their brewer is Florida Ave out of Tampa. So if you are in Davenport and looking for a good time, definitely stop at 1845 Tap House.

I've passed this place by on my way to work and figured to stop by sometime; today was the perfect day because Victoria was the sweetest and super swift with her service! I sat at the bar to enjoy a small dinner and cocktail; ordered an Old Fashioned and received their signature one which was super tasty and done right! (thanks Victoria ) Managed to snag a photo of my salad as it was purchased with birthday money from a friend; got the Wedge (a la carte, no protein). Even though the produce is "weird" now, every bit of what happens for me next will be all worth it because that salad was delicious! It was one of the best wedge salads I've had in a long while... almost got the soup of the day because French Onion is my favorite but I had some places to be thereafter and "toilet conspiracies caused by produce" was not in my bingo card for my special day For my first time, it was a wonderful experience and service as top tier even though business was a bit slow. Take advantage of this though, because the food from what I've seen looks DELICIOUS Thanks Victoria See you soon!

To be a chain, Ovation Bistro in Davenport FL looks like a good time. Our server was Alex and she was doing everything by herself. Tending bar, serving and busing tables. She was a whirlwind. It is in a strip mall with plenty of parking. You enter through the covered patio area, which on a florida day when it was 97 outside it felt cooler on the patio. We ate inside. When you enter, the bar is to the left and the dining area is on the right. There are both booths and tables in the dining area. And high tops in the bar, besides the bar stool. Ordered a craft beer from 3 Sisters in St. Pete. It was good. For lunch we had the sirloin lunch special and brisket wedge salad. The food was not good. It was bad. And in their defense, maybe they were having an off day or maybe their lunch specials are left overs. The brisket was dry and way past it's prime. I sent it back and they brought me back more dry brisket which I guess they soaked in something, but you could tell it was way over cooked and past it's prime. The sirloin steak was not much better and the mash potatoes were at best luke warm. This was very disappointing. Especially after seeing some of the reviews. Suffice to say, this outing was definitely a one star for the food and four stars for the service along with the ambiance. I hate to hurl insults, but whoever is in their kitchen has either lost their passion or they just don't care. Best part of the meal was the wedge salad which was deliscious. The manager did come talk to us and did not charge us. The experience was still disappointing. My expectation did not meet my experience at Ovation Bistro in Davenport Florida.

Located in the ChampionsGate shopping area, a friend recently raved about the food, so we decided it was time to give it another try. Our server, Nick, was friendly, personable, and helped us with our menu selections. I was excited to see the lunch special was a Chopped Cheese sandwich. Being from New York, I've really missed a good chopped cheese and have been craving one for quite some time. The sandwich came with a choice of side, and I chose the French fries. While it was a decent sandwich, it just wasn't an authentic New York chopped cheese. The lettuce wasn't chopped but simply placed on top, and it was missing the chopped tomatoes and onions that help make the sandwich so special. It was served on a hoagie roll, but the it wasn't smashed together the way I'm used to seeing in New York. My husband ordered the Brisket Dipper, which also came with a choice of side. He selected the soup of the day, a beef and rice soup. The sandwich was served with an au jus dipping sauce and was good, but not memorable. In fact, we both agreed the brisket at our local Ovation Bistro & Bar is much more flavorful. The soup arrived as essentially a cup of shredded beef in broth, and the rice had accidentally been left out. The server quickly brought it over afterwards. When I spotted bread pudding on the dessert menu, I couldn't resist ordering one of my all-time favorite desserts. Unfortunately, it was another disappointment. The bread pudding was very dense, covered with large dollops of whipped topping, and didn't taste particularly fresh. Overall, while the service was friendly and attentive, the food simply didn't live up to the recommendation we had received. With more than a dozen restaurants nearby offering excellent dining options, this isn't one we'd return to. If you're dining in the ChampionsGate area, I'd recommend spending your money at one of the many better choices nearby.

I started with the calamari, which had almost no flavor. It tasted like the batter wasn't seasoned at all. The aioli sauce that came with it was actually very good and helped, but it couldn't completely save the dish. For my entrée, I ordered the ribeye with smashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak was just okay, I've honestly had better ribeyes at chain restaurants. One side was noticeably burnt while the other side was cooked well. The internal temperature was spot on, so credit where it's due. The smashed potatoes were fine but nothing memorable. As for the asparagus, they never arrived, so I can't comment on them. Overall, this felt like overpriced hotel food. It's convenient if you're staying at the hotel and don't want to leave, or if you're looking to watch a game at the bar or lounge area. Otherwise, I'd recommend exploring other nearby restaurants. There are plenty of better dining options just a short distance from the hotel.

This was our first time eating at one on this side of town and it did not disappoint. I got the French Onion Soup and my husband got the Zinger Mountain melt (also for me to pick at). The fries were cooked perfectly and it was covered in the zingers but also a lot of bacon and cheese. We got Hot Garlic and I highly recommend it for someone looking for both flavor and some sting.
