You should stay away from Dave who has questionable business conduct. First, he inspected my pool and told me that the pool wall needed a full day of work to repair. He charged me based on that and it turned out that it was only light work. Second, after installation, the pool has leaks. When I contacted him, he said the liner wouldn't leak and it is not his problem! So I paid him more than $8k and and has a leaky pool, and it is my problem? That means he has zero responsiblity/warranty for the work he did. If you are ever considering him, pay him like 1 year later for the remaining fee otherwise he would just disappear. read more

Dave and his crew came today. He showed up exactly the day and time he said he would be here. Dave also called me the night before to confirm. My experience is that his communication was excellent. He quoted me a price to take down and haul away our 15x30 pool. He did the work for exactly the price he quoted, without any BS lines when he showed up. He and his crew came to work, they did the work in about an hour and left my yard spotless with not so much as a screw on the ground. Dave is down to earth, informative and upfront. Although Dave came by the house quickly, we paid over 1000 for him To install a new liner. He left without filling the pool and within 3 days all Of the water leaked out. When we called him back he was not answering the phone. i left him a Facebook message and he finally called back that night. He stated that he would be by in the next few days but we never saw him again. We ended up having to buy another new liner and have another pool guy come by to fix it. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Dave Thibodeau at Dave's Above Ground Pools. I placed a call to discuss my pool liner that keeps lifting off the liner track on Wednesday, 7/3/2024. Mr. Thibodeau returned the call on the holiday, and I wasn't available to speak with him. I placed a call with him today, 7/5/2024 and when he returned my call, he exhibited a rude and unprofessional attitude. He informed me that he had spoken to my husband on the holiday, which I was unaware of this exchange since I typically handle pool issues. Mr. Thibodeau seemed impatient and annoyed throughout the entire call and did not appear to be interested in what I had to say. When I tried to explain a specific issue, I was having with my pool, he cut me off and acted as if I was wasting his time. This level of disrespect is unacceptable. I would say that the company would benefit from addressing these customer service issues, however, since Mr. Thibodeau is the owner, I do not expect any recourse. I will not be using their services again and will be sharing my experience with others to prevent them from going through the same frustration. read more

Dave's above ground pools did an exceptional job on my 24 round with deck and fence he did it in one day !! with only a one week notice in the middle of the summer which is incredible Not one wrinkle and nothing left behind in the yard very clean work ! My wife made the initial contact with Dave and he called back within a day. That is the last positive thing that I can say about this guy. We own a Ester Williams slatwall pool that had been out of service for many years but now that we have grandchildren were looking to get it up and running again. Enter Dave ... almost immediately he began to address me in a demeaning manner, at one point telling me that he "was the pool guy" meaning that what he had to say was gospel and that I as the pool owner had no right to question what he said. He gave me a quote on a liner install ($800) with an added $300 for sand, which I considered reasonable. He told me that he couldn't make it out for at least two weeks due to his workload. I was well aware that the pool needed some additional work, leveling and other ground work but told Dave that I felt capable of getting that all in order before he arrived and looked to confirm that if I contacted him for the installation that the prices were $800 plus $300 for a total of $1100. At that point, I provided him with our address. He then became extremely belligerent and told me that he had given my wife a price the year before. When I told him that was not the case, which I later confirmed with her, he called me a Fuc#ing Liar and hung up on me. My wife contacted him on Facebook and he apologized to her for his confusion but made no mention of his behavior towards me. I could not let this incident pass without a note to any of you out there looking for someone that I would consider worthy of doing business with. For me, Dave would not make the list. read more

Dave and his crew replaced my above ground pool liner and skimmer. It was more than a great job. Dave went above and beyond to get this one replaced. It almost didn't happen but Dave with his genius figured a way. It required more than a quick in and out liner replacement. A bit of carpentry and some good old common sense got this done. I called Dave's Above Ground Pool on a Friday afternoon and he returned my call on a Sunday evening at 930pm and we had the most unprofessional conversation. He was rude from the beginning of the call to the end. The size of the pool was a problem for him, it seemed the idea of doing work would be a problem for him. They did a horrible job on my 15x30' pool! The pool was put up crooked on the spot where the previous pool was. Because the pool was put up crooked, the supports did not meet with the wall and all the screws were exposed. The skimmer always leaked because nothing could be tight since it was put up crooked! The bottom of the pool developed big underground holes in the sand in many places. The pool only lasted four years and has been removed now. What a waste of $1600 given to his "crew" who spent most of the time smoking and tossing the butts all around the pool! BEWARE!!! read more

I would recommend Dave's Above Ground Pools - we were replacing our filter (not a big job) but they were at my house within a day or so of us calling to inquire. They showed up Sunday morning, Father's Day, about 5 guys, replaced the filter in no time. Dave postponed initial install date by 10 days then shows up 3 hours late, 30 minutes before sunset and complains to us how his guys are tired and want to go to bed. He decides to pull apart all the pool parts laying them all over our lawn then decides to pack it up to come back 3 days later. Calls later that night and states he's not going to make it and if we still wanted him to install the pool it would be at least a few weeks. All while treating / talking to my wife like a 3rd world citizen. He spoke so rudely to my wife my neighbor actually confronted me about it. read more

I have to say Dave's Above Ground Pools is the best! I did not think this job would be able to get done since I have a weird driveway. I have three steps that go down from the driveway to the yard, but Dave found a way to get it done. He built a stairway so that he could get "blondie " down to the area where my pool was going. (Blondie is his bob cat that he uses to prep the area - lol) Dave and his crew worked hard from start to finish and I have to say that I am impressed. He got it done fast and professionally. Do NOT use Dave's Above Ground Pools in Peabody, MA. I contracted Dave to install an above ground pool at my home. It was late June and they were predicting intermittent showers all week. Dave called me the evening before to confirm and even made mention that they were predicting possible showers. The following morning, Dave called me at 6:30AM to tell me that he didn't have a good feeling about the rain. He told me that if it rained and his crew had to stop working, the price would go up to pay for him to come back to finish. Needless to say, we didn't get a drop of rain that day. When I told him that on the phone that I would just find somebody else to do the work, he yelled at me, told me that everybody on the Namco list is junk (which he is NOT on) and then hung up on me. I bought a used pool ladder from someone a week later off of Craigslist and the woman told me that she used Dave and he rescheduled on her 3x times in the middle of the summer prior to coming out. I ended up using Pools USA in Revere. They were actually the cheapest quote that I received and they did a nice job. read more

What a shit job that the intaller did. End up calling Dave Above Ground Pools. I send him a message through Facebook, he called me right away. Explain the situation we had. these guys are thieves selling shoddy junk , my pool is only a year old and leaks he refused to honor the warranty and if you read the fine print its vague and as a result, all of his warrantys are useless ,i'd sue but it would cost more to do that then get a repair from a reputable company their repairman showed me all the installation errors and low grade materials they use ,he said they should be ashamed, but crooks seldom are.......You guys really need a zero stars feature.... read more
