Had a service call to fix an issue with refrigerator in which they said refrigerator was operating…read morenormally, only to come down to the property about a week later, find out the refrigerator was not. No diagnostics done expecpt a visual. In 10 seconds, through the door panel pad we were able to diagnose it with an E01 code, which means ice maker issue, which could lead to other issues and also, irregular temperatures in the refrigerator. Called for service again.They said they would be out in the morning of the next day, only to get a text message from the A I robot telling me my appointment was canceled, and I was rescheduled on monday, which we were not going to be there. It was very hard to raise someone in the service department, and by the time they got back to you it was usually the end of the day. We ended up buying a new refrigerator because our whirlpool, that was only four years old, was demonstrating an issue that could lead to further costs. Totally not impressed with whirlpool, and will never buy again.When asked if the sales department could help us possibly on the price, they basically just said no, there was nothing they could do.They did not even offer to see if their manager would do something for us. It has been 6 years since we purchased the machine and just recently had an issue. Speed Queen told us they have no record of our extended warranty, The salesman we bought the machine from is gone, but the young man on the phone said there was probably a paper on it that we should have filled out. Speed Queen and Johnson's acknowledge the fact there was a super warranty for the machine in that year , however, no one has a record that we have the warranty. There is no way to find out what happened to our record. According to the salesman we are out of luck, there is nothing they can do. Had we been given material to extend a warranty you can be assured it would have been filled out, but with 6 years gone by it "oh well, nothing anyone can do". Buy an appliance from people care about their customers and who you know have your best interests at heart.

We told them the brands we've liked and our tolerance but also our critical concerns for appliance longevity. Consumer Reports criticizes many brands for overly complicated features that shorten product life, are dependent on components made in China, and have known design issues. So, we went with Bosch and chose models without the high failure prone features. We know (based on previous experience) there's a wait for one of the products, and that's fine. Shore does their own servicing so we're not concerned we're on our own or getting referrals from a 3rd party warranty company that may send unqualified technicians. Highly recommended and very much appreciate the military discount and no upcharge for credit card!
