We were so glad to reconnect with Dave's Computers after he relocated. He has always been helpful and honest with our questions and repairs. Our computer was having issues with blacking out during use. Before we found Dave's new location, we took it to another shop who kept it for 5 days, and we never heard from them, we had to phone THEM for any progress (there was none). On the 5th day without any offer of what day it would be completed and no contact from our inquiries, we finally went over in person to check on it and was told there was 'nothing wrong with it.' Of course, when we brought it home, it continued with the problem. Then we luckily found Dave again. We came over to his new location without an appointment since we had an incorrect phone number. Dave diagnosed the problem right then and there and within a few minutes the issue was corrected for a very reasonable fee. To realize we struggled for nine days without the use of our computer for no good reason was an eye-opener. You may not have an issue that can be solved as quickly as our experience, but we're confident you'll be taken care of with knowledge and honesty. read more

Dave's Computers used to be close by, but they moved, and I was so glad to find the shop again! When we had a problem with our desktop, we took it to two other shops. One was useless and just left the laptop for five days sitting on the bench and just gave it back without even looking at it. Another shop came highly recommended, but we weren't impressed, and they did not stay in business very long. With luck, we found out Dave's new location and gratefully hurried over to his new shop. Dave always gets the problem sorted in very quick time, and he's very helpful with answering questions. Once he aided a young customer with a problem that the computer company should be sorting out, and he got on a conference call to the company to explain it was their situation to make things right, and the customer left with the problem sorted and no $$$ out of pocket after the company agreed to do the right thing by him. Dave is about as good as it gets when it comes to computer repair and recommendations. We recently had one of our main office computers go down. He diagnosed and fixed the problem so quickly that we were able to drop off and pick up the computer on the same trip. In other words, what in the past, was usually a week long or more for someone to diagnose alone, he was able to complete in entirety in less than an hour. And on top of it, he was extremely courteous, explanatory without being condescending or self inflating and simply put, unbelievably easy to work with. My computer died a slow miserable death. I looked up a computer repair in my area and called Dave's. Dave took my call he was at a doctor's appointment waiting for the Dr to enter the room but answered all my questions and was advising me on several options to service my needs. Once going to his shop he was able to diagnose the laptop and it was decided that it wasn't financially worth trying to repair it. Dave drafted the paperwork for my insurance company explaining the damage which I submitted that evening to the insurance and to my surprise the insurance approved and submitted an offer $$$ to me the next morning!! Dave has since worked on my son's computer updating it with current software removing viruses which has increased the speed and his prices are incredibly reasonable. He's truly in business to help! Since I found this computer store on here and the only thing on any of the walls is a Yelp poster I felt compelled to write a review. I have never seen anything like it. It is a computer store that does not have even one computer in the entire store. A guy comes out and says "what can I help you with?" in a tone like he does not want me here or like I am a vacuum cleaner salesman. I replied that I am looking for a place that sells computer parts. He said "I dont sell computers, I only repair them'" Again in a tone like I had ruined his day or something. Really? A computer store that has no computers? The name of this place should be Daves Repairs not Daves Computers. But after speaking with him about some hardware related stuff I doubt he is very good at repairing hardware. My 7 year old computer had been sick for a while and 2 days ago it died. It was starting to be difficult to turn on and then it would spontaneously shut off in the middle of working. I HAD to get this fixed! I'd read Dave's reviews on Nextdoor and Yelp so I called. It was an hour before closing time and he said bring it in (thank you Dave!) I described its symptoms and behaviors and Dave had it diagnosed and repaired within 30 minutes. It needed a part which he had in stock. My computer was compromised by hackers and I was extremely worried about using it. Called Dave and explained the problem and he was willing to talk to me on the phone and offered suggestions. He said he could clean it up and to bring it in. When I got to the store I was debating whether to have it fixed since it was 12 years old and decide to talk to him about it first. Offer to pay him for his consultation since I had questions also about being hacked. He took the time to talk with me without any payment and answered my questions without condescension for my stupidity to allow hackers access to my computer. I highly recommend DAVE's' Computer Service. My son Had found malware on his laptop one evening last week. He panicked as his Microsoft was frozen and blocked with messages indicating that his files were being stolen if he didn't pay $449.90 to an overseas fraudulent company to release the freeze. I called Dave's computer at 10:30 at night to see what his hours were? Dave answered the phone and assured me that he will be able to look at the files, run some antivirus programs and all files were still intact and for a far lesser price! I had an issue today with my PC after I tried to overclock the CPU and after spending many minutes on hold with Fry's Electronics, I decided to try elsewhere. That's when I found Dave's Computers on Google. Dave is a true gentleman and a scholar. I called around a couple of places and Dave was the only one to take the time to try and understand my computer issue (it was a screen problem on my laptop). After I brought the computer in he took it apart right in front of me. Other people tried to have me leave my laptop with them, without cracking it open, so I appreciated Dave's honesty. He figured out what the problem was in less than 10 minutes, quoted me a price and said the repair would be done in 4 days. He got it done in three days. I have a couple of laptops that I upgraded to Windows 10 on my own. After the upgrade, both were performing as slow as Microsoft-brand molasses. I assumed they didn't have the required resources, and thought adding memory would rejuvenate them. Dave recommended skipping the memory, which would have required removing and replacing existing chips. Instead he suggested a clean Windows 10 install. He said Windows leaves a lot of crap behind with an upgrade. So now hear I am, without additional memory and TOTALLY functional laptops. THANKS, DAVE!!! read more

My laptop was damaged and Dave gave me an honest estimate of what it would cost and the time involved. Dave had a bit of trouble ordering the necessary parts from China as they kept sending him the wrong ones (it may have been due to a language problem and the fact that my laptop has a similar model). Rather than keeping me waiting further, he transferred my files to a brand new computer which he had in his shop. Customer Service (10 star! On a 1-5 star scale). He made me feel extremely comfortable from the moment I spoke to him on the phone to the time I paid the bill. He treated me with the greatest respect, never making me feel foolish for my ignorance, and figuring out exactly what I was trying to explain through my frustration. Bought a piece-of-crap computer and couldn't afford to buy a decent one to replace Old Faithful. Dave completely cleaned it up and added RAM, and now I'm no longer on the path to insanity. HUGE difference. What was once a sluggish, slow computer is now remarkably faster. A few little things aren't as fast but are still way better than before. Dave said it wouldn't be perfect. My 2010 iMac was running REALLY slow but it didn't have a virus. I brought it in on a Wed. afternoon and was called before the end of the day with some solutions. I ended up getting a solid state hard drive put in and they even fixed some other issues for no charge. Dave and his crew were super friendly and the price was very reasonable.
