Just had my Balljoints replaced an they didnt have the correct tool so they took the tool they had an modified it to work so now they have a special tool for balljoints for BMW's. It was a little longer then planned but that's because of the tool issue and finding two ball joints for my year. Either way they always have treated me right an are honest. That's the most important when having a car serviced. I'd rather know I need this an that instead of them just overlooking it for my pockets sake. I prefer safety over money anyway this is the 3 year they have worked on my cars and I recommend them to anyone who asks. I'm not saying they're perfect because it doesn't exist at any shop it's impossible so I don't care what anyone says they have always been a great company. Bring my cars here regularly. I have been dealing with Dave's for about 6-7 years. Mechanics have a tough rough job because cars are always needing maintenance. And so mechanics get a bad rap when people do not hear what they Like to hear. Who wants to hear their car needs a bunch of work? Nobody. So over the years I've brought and been to Dave's at least 50 times. Dave is very good at figuring out what is wrong with cars. One of the best I've met in my experience and I've met many mechanics and that in itself saves you money when someone can figure out what's wrong fast. The guys mind is built for diagnosing cars. His pricing is fair. And I always feel the end result has been fair and happy to get my car working right. So my honest review here is I think it's very easy to put a negative review. But it's not a easy job and sometimes the fact is, problems arise while fixing Older cars. They just do and you need to expect that. It's not the Mechanics fault. It's YOUR cars fault! I see so many bad reviews on every mechanics page online To try to be a mechanic. It's such a hard task! Nobody likes to hear they need to dump 1000 or so dollars in their cars. It's not a mechanics problem because you don't have a ride to work and own one car. Buy a back up beater ! Full disclosure Dave's Garage has zero idea I'm writing this review! It's all truth. If I could give them no stars I would. I brought my car to Dave because I heard he used to be good at what he did. When I got to Dave's he and his crew did nothing but sniffle every 3 minutes and the whole place stinks of weed. Dave held my car from me for 2 weeks past it's due date and didn't do any of the work he said he did. My bill ran $1500 and 8 months later I was replacing the stuff he "fixed" I brought my car to a Subaru mechanic who told me he had to bang the rotors to get them off because they hadn't been replaced in years which was one of the things Dave charged me for. I tried to be civil and ask him how he sleeps at night knowing he ripped off a 17 year old girl and he avoided me. His wife answers all the phone calls and when I called a second time she was absolutely rude to me and called me a liar. Now I need to replace my axel which is another thing Dave said he did but didn't do. So thank you for burning me and others out of money Dave. If you bring your car to him you'll see that the "mechanics" he has in there do nothing but smoke weed on the clock they don't fix cars that's for sure. read more

Brought my SQ5 here for first time to do a resonator delete. Clearly told the staff there that I wanted them to give the resonators back to me and leave them in the trunk. They did not, and when I called them to see if they had them, they told me they threw them away and that they were "scrap metal". Also, I was told they would remove one center resonator, and they ended up removing all of them. Will never go back and will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Calling this place a business would be generous. It is filled with nothing but hack, backyard "mechanics" and that's giving them a compliment. My son brought his car there to get coil overs put on. Dave agreed to do them at a price of between $375 (if no problems) and $575 (if he ran into problems). Well, our problem was Daves Garage! Dave called to inform my son on the day the car was to be finished (Friday) that he had broken one of the Steering Knuckles in the process of installing one of the coil overs. He said he couldn't fix the car until Wednesday of the following week! Of course my son was upset. He had no way to get to work, and works nights. Dave's true colors, and business sense showed shortly after when he was called and was questioned as to why it would take so long and was asked what happened. Dave was asked what happened and stated pretty openly it was no big deal, these things happen. He stated that "he's run into these issues with these same coil overs before", but he clearly didn't take care to make sure it was done correctly without braking components. It sounds like Dave has zero regard and respect for peoples property, and clearly doesn't learn from his mistakes. He certainly doesn't apologize for them. He never apologized for the inconvenience, never took responsibility for his wrong doing, instead when he was asked why it would take until the following week to fix it, he asked in return, "Do you have a steering knuckle?" I then asked about a discounted price for the inconvenience, him braking the steering knuckle without regard and NEVER communicating that there was an issue especially when he knew there was. Dave stated that he did nothing wrong and that he planned on charging us for the new part! We'll, that wasn't going to fly. Dave eventually after blaming us and never taking responsibility decided to settle on $400 (still making what he was going to to begin with!). Dave hated the fact the he had to eat the cost of the knuckle that he broke! Dave is by far the worst "business" owner I have ever come across!! He constantly tried to put blame on us and called himself "very generous" for not charging us for the new knuckle. This narcissist is beyond pathetic. When we got to Dave's Garage to pick up the car, we noticed a wheel speed sensor lying on the drivers side floor board which we were never told about! We questioned Dave in the parking lot and with a stupid smirk and cigarette in his mouth he said, "yea I had to change it." When my son finally got to work he opened the hood to just check things out. Well guess what he found? The engine bay trim laying across the engine, almost getting caught in the fan. This place and Dave are absolutely disgusting. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE THERE! Go anywhere else. Do the work yourself. It would be no different. Save yourself the headache and heartache dealing with these people! You've been warned! read more
