    Dave's #2 2 Sliders w/ Fries
    Yasser H.

My go to item. Item 2 From the menu. 2 sliders with fries. My levels spiciness is hot. They have extra hot and another hot level above that. I remember I saw a disclaimer on their website when I attempted to choose that spice level for the chicken. Sliders are very good and the fries are also golden crispy and crinkle. Chicken is a solid piece with Coleslaw n pickles. they do have a reward program also. Service is counter order and pickup for dine in and carry out. Usually, u are welcomed with a greeting when entering Dave's. I'm a regular. Thanks.

Made-to-order spicy breaded fried juicy chicken was served with their signature sauce. The cashier was friendly, answered questions and took the order efficiently. The ambiance is your typical of a fast food place but don't be confused! This is not fast food! Each ordered to customize to your specific spice level. They also have shakes and slushies on the menu. If you like spice, this is a must-try!!!

woow gotta say I'm shocked! I wasn't expecting this chicken sandwich to be so good and am pleasantly surprised! I feel like the prices are reasonable (about $8 for a sandwich), and it's super yummy. I love the choice of the potato bun patty, which adds sweetness and chewiness to the juicy chicken. The spice levels are actually quite high, so beware if you get the extra hot or reaper! it definitely had me sweating. The sauce is also great and tangy, and the pickles cut through the fattiness and heat of the sandwich very well. I would come again despite not being a big chicken sandwich kind of person and the rather limited menu! service was very fast and it's definitely more of a quick bite or pick-up-and-go with limited seating / square footage inside the spot itself. It has a cool vibe with graffiti art on the walls to observe while you're waiting for your order!

It's a fast food chain kinda vibe. Order at counter, pick up food at the counter. They have seats you can self seat. Self-serve. Food was good. Had a bite of the reaper, I normally cannot handle spicy food, and it wasn't too bad. Although I can see the spice grow on you as you eat. My friend suffered from eating half the reaper though.

After seeing Dave's Hot Chicken in a reel I had to try! We tried the Mac and cheese; The cheese tasted fake to me, I was better off microwaving one from a Kraft cup. We ordered hot tenders (to go) and it didn't disappoint. I was worried it would taste like Tabasco sauce like some other places do, but it was seasoned well. All the seasonings had a party in my mouth; It tasted like real chicken, fresh, juicy, tender, crispy, spicy, and flavorful. *Update* I went again and tried their slider. I usually don't like cold slaw but this tastes so great in the slider. I recommend They spin the kiosk around so you can tip a cashier. This is getting tiring.

    Mild Chicken Slider

I've always heard about Dave's Hot Chicken and it's surprising to see one open up in Bay Ridge. I'm not complaining though because at least I don't have to go all the way to downtown Brooklyn or Manhattan for it. I ordered a slider at the mild level because I didn't know what to expect. It was honestly not spicy at all - I would think it's the no spice level if I wasn't aware. My brother ordered the extra hot level and now THAT was spicy for me. My comfort zone is probably around the medium and hot levels. Either way, mild was still flavorful with all the spices on it, and the cole slaw and pickles added a nice crunch and freshness to the sandwich. It did its job in cutting the grease. The chicken was also pretty big and juicy. I would love to come back and try their tenders and cheese fries!

WOW! Their chicken (by itself or in the sandwich) was soooo damn juicy and well seasoned! The sandwich was delicious w/ the cole slaw + pickles! Fries were ok. There was different spice levels & we tried medium and it had a great kick to it. Excellent food! Fun modern decor w/ tons of indoor seating. Food came out quick.

A friend picked up a few combos from here as they're newly opened in Brooklyn. I've had my fair share of Dave's Hot Chicken in LA, but I must admit it's one of the better spots for Nashville hot chicken. The sliders are huge and filling; they're more like burger size. The seasoning they put on these chicken is flavorful and full of spices while tender on the inside. Dave's have been popping up everywhere and I'm happy for it. Good, consistent hot fried chicken here!

    Dave's # 1; the wifey's order

So me & the wifey decided to hit this New Dave's hot chicken spot in our home town Brooklyn baby on this Monday 12/19/22 around 8:30 pm .... Yes it's a lil late for us but we figured we let the traffic die down in the Belt !!! Just a heads up my fellow Yelper's that I'm already a fan of Birdies Hot Chicken gave them 5 stars after eating there over 5 X's but as y'all know me I am a foodie so I had to give Dave's a try !! So let's find out !!! Ok, as y'all know I will never throw out a Four or Five Star rating until I made at least three visits & sampled more then a few of their favorites...... The place was jammed packed and just kept getting busier and busier by the second; we scored a table as soon as we walked in; just a heads up they only have 4 - 4 tops / tables & seating for three at the window.. The chicken; I ordered their Daves # 3 signature sandwich with 1 - Chicken tender, mild; The Wife went with Dave's # 1 which is two tenders with fries, the wife does not do heat so she went with no spice; then we each ordered a extra tender each one mild & one no spice.... 1- Soda & 1- Kale slaw @ $45.00 The food; The wife's tenders were both huge and as per my wife they were moist & tender fried on the well done side. My Chicken; the sandwich was good everything on it including the bun was super fresh; I did add honey & extra Dave's house sauce I felt it needed it to add more flavor to their chicken. My tenders compared to my wife's were on the smaller side very noticeable and they fried them too long so my chicken was dry ... also had to top them with extra Dave's house sauce & honey to enjoy them ... The fries are good well seasoned; the kale slaw was good .... Now, like I said I'm comparing Dave's to Birdies and Birdies in my opinion beat up Dave's chicken in every way.... The staff was super friendly and their service was fast and their restaurant was very clean ... Would I recommend, yea if ya in the area; would I come back ? Only if I was in the area I would not drive out of my way ... We didn't get the Wow factor !! Go hit Birdies Hot Chicken & let me know !! Sorry Dave I so wanted you to be better then Birdies ... Thanks, Greg D & family

Dave's Hot Chicken has recently opened a Bay Ridge location and I was eager to check it out when I had the craving for something different from the usual mix in the vicinity. For a neighborhood with a strip that used to offer a lot more by ways of shopping, we had what amounted to almost all of the major fast food places. DHC is brightly painted on the facade and its interior walls and as one young lady walked out I asked how it was and she said "get the #3" which I found to be a full chicken sandwich and a slider. This is served with french fries and pickles and the consumer can decide on a few levels of heat. I opted for Hot and Very Hot which was the second to last under Reaper and I will say that Very Hot might kick your bottom if you aren't ready for it. The order took a few minutes to prepare but it was on the busy side and I don't mind this since I leave with the notion that my item was fresh and not just sitting around under a lamp. The kitchen area is partially visible and the staff were quite busy. That night there also appeared to be a manager on duty as she had a clipboard and seemed to be in charge of the operation. Let's face it, they have to come out of the gate strong since there are a half dozen other options within walking distance along with a bunch of restaurants. Once I got home I dove into the meal and it was quite good. The chicken is coated with a spicy blend but I wouldn't consider this a breading like we find at places like McDonald's or Wendy's etc. That had a nice bite to it as well and as I said I chose the Hot and Hotter levels of sauce. I was glad I had some ice water handy for the very hot option even though water doesn't really help much with that. The chicken fillets used on both slider and sandwich were very large and left me full and just opting to relax for a little while in front of the television. I will say that there could have been a few more fries to the order but that was my only gripe. The downside to some might be the price since they are a little pricier than some of the other joints around us but you are getting a good portion and something that seemed to be less on the greasy side to me. Overall I liked what I had and found the staff pleasant. I told the girl with the clipboard that they were doing great and welcome to our neighborhood and I think she appreciated that. Do try them out when you are visiting Bay Ridge. There are a few tables to sit at should you choose to dine in but its a tight space and too confined for me so I just opt for "to go".

The chicken is overly seasoned, but moist and juicy. It's good to try the first time, but to keep going back to it is nothing special.

When I brought it to the waitresses attention she said it comes with either bacon or sausage and I was like, okay you didn't ask so I wasn't aware. To which she responded that it was on the menu and proceeded to bring over the menu for me to read as if I couldn't understand her. I was really tired that morning so I guess that parts on me for just reading what I want and ordering it, but as someone who's work in the service industry you also clarify what the customer would like. I never said I wanted ONLY eggs. Just the way she handled it was really rude when I didn't even make a fuss I was just confused why there was nothing in my burrito weird energy here if you're not a white townie. Came in as a party of two on a rainy Sunday for their brunch menu and was quickly seated and served. Waiters/waitresses were very attentive and quick to give us menus, waters, take our orders, and clear our empty plates when we finished the app/food. Definitely has a pub/sports bar vibe with bar seating and multiple screens broadcasting pretty much all the sunday NFL games. But they also had ample seating for larger parties and families and it definitely seems like a place that locals visit often. The food was great, though we wouldve liked to try the chicken empanadas if we noticed it on the menu early. Oh wells, maybe next time!

That was such a perfect idea. First thing we were there, and it was a warm and sultry morning at 6:30AM with the sun up to greet us along with a New York bridge adorning the scene to the south, with us eating outside on the sidewalk I could not imagine a better send off from this great world city. Bagels were a perfect breakfast and we sucked those back in a jiffy. Just as we were finishing, members of the US military, maybe national guardsmen, showed up in black SUVs right in front of us and parked. They got out, a gaggle of them and headed in for their bagels. The bread? The meat? The condiments? The sauce.. gravy, francese, red sauce? The originality? What happens if you find all of the above in one shop? And where would you find it? Answer: Charlie's Sandwich Shop I am a long time resident of Bay Ridge and this is THE FIRST time I have tried a sandwich here. Mind you, my friends have raved about it. The shop is a gem and the options are plentiful. Every sandwich offered sounds delicious and there are weekly specials like Shrimp Parmigiana and Chicken Francese. I decided to go with the "How You Doing" sammy which consists of fried chicken cutlets, roasted peppers and fresh mozzarella on a toasted hero bread. The preparation took around ten minutes but the wait was worth it. The craftsman who prepared it handed it to me and said " Now here's a sandwich and it is going to take a bit to finish".* I replied " Yeah, a whole week"! Lol! I love the charm of the place; there are little gems, statues, pictures, menus adorning walls, counter and behind the scenes. Charlie's Sandwich Shop in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn is owned by Charlie Bellomo along with his father, Salvatore Bellomo. This duo are serving "grand slams" sandwich style. I see many sandwiches in my future not just for me. How you doin? Just fine after tasting this delicious work of art! * take a look at my sandwich pic, tell me it is not the size of a boat?
