We went thru the drive-up to order & get our food. The drive-up service was fast & friendly. I've been to Dave's many times before & this time it was just as good as it always has been. Dave's started up in 2017 in a parking lot in the East Hollywood neighborhood of L.A. Since then it's grown to 400 locations in the US, Canada, UK & the Middle East. We had the Dave's #2 - Chicken Sliders & Fries. This was two sliders (lite mild heat level) on potato buns with kale slaw, pickles & drizzled with Dave's sauce. These sliders were delicious as well as big. The chicken was Nashville style...hot, spicy & crispy. Note, you can choose your level of heat from no spice, lite mild, mild, medium, hot, extra hot & the reaper. The kale slaw & pickles help to balance out the spice - great accompaniments. I had lunch at Dave's Hot Chicken this weekend, and I'm sure I'm going to be in the minority here, but I found it to be just okay. When I walked in, the vibe was very current and energetic. I could honestly see them having a DJ playing music while people eat, which would fit the atmosphere perfectly. The cashier who helped me was great. She was super friendly, welcoming, and did an amazing job. I ended up getting the mozzarella sticks and the #3 with a medium spice level. Our food took about five minutes to come out, which was pretty quick. The mozzarella sticks were definitely the highlight of the meal. They reminded me of the ones at another restaurant, and the cheese pull was seriously cheesy! The rest of the meal was just okay for me. I finished the slider, but the tender was absolutely huge--it was practically the size of a chicken breast! I'm not sure if they offer ranch dressing, but if I come back, I'm definitely going to want some with the chicken. The fries were a little overdone, although they were still edible. Like I said, I'm probably going to be one of the few people who feels this way, but I think I prefer some of the other chicken places I've tried. Dave's Hot Chicken is an amazing spot if you're in the mood for chicken. The chicken has the perfect crisp and seasoning. The customer service at this location was great. we were greeted as soon as we walked in, and they didn't rush us at all when it came time to order. They let us take our time and even gave helpful recommendations. A huge plus is that they're not greedy with their delicious Dave's sauce! I'd definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for a calm, relaxed, and modern place to eat. New Dave's Hot Chicken near our house! Had only ever had the one in Westminster. Drive thru service was fast and easy! The sandwich meal is the way to go as just one sandwich was very filling. The mild had just the right amount of seasoning for me as I wasn't really craving spicy. Ordered a side of kale slaw which was pretty disappointing unfortunately as it was fairly dry and had only one or two pieces of kale. Ordered a large side of ranch for $4 and was disappointed by the size being what I would consider a small as well. Overall not bad! Will likely just order the meal next time and avoid any extras! read more

I've tried their Hi-C orange freeze back in Utah and it was so good that we decided to try the chicken as soon as we could. This time, it was the only walkable location that had an open lobby at 1:30 am, so we went. He tried the mild mini sliders and I had a medium slider with fries on the side. First of all, they forgot the pickles on the side, so that's a total bummer. I love pickles. Second of all, they forgot to add cheese that we paid for, so we had to hand the mini sliders back to get them done right. These are very small mistakes and the workers were nice so they don't bother me nearly as much as the portion sizes in comparison to the price. I absolutely loved the chicken tender, it was so delicious and juicy and just the right amount of spicy (in fact I could've gone hotter) but we both left the restaurant hungry, which is absurd considering it was like $25 for both of our meals. So popular, though I like Dave's, I want to like it more. The seasoning on the Extra Hot is too powdery making the chicken seem dry when the inside is anything but. Maybe the less spicy versions have less powder coating on the outside. Anyway, they don't need my recommendation as they are extremely popular. Still place them above Cane's and PDQ. Service at all locations I've been to is always friendly. read more

I went to Dave's hot chicken, ordered two Reaper sliders and fries. The chicken sandwich ( sliders ) are the size of the chilis buffalo chicken sandwich ( big ). I grew up having Habanero pepper eating contests with friends and I used to regularly eat Ms Smiths Ghost pepper chips. These Sandwiches from Dave's are so very scientifically made hot that I could only eat half. Rip off. Because I could not even eat the second sandwich I bought therefore I had to trash them and oder a mild sandwich. The real reason In my opinion that they have those ordering the reaper sandwiches sign the waiver on the order receipt is so that no one asks for their money back after ordering two and there fore they know they'll make more money when they have to order a regular. Dave's shouldn't allow people to order two at one time = another money making scam. Last, I washed my hands thoroughly in the restaurant rest room after eating the Reaper sandwich and then again when I arrived back home. I scratched my leg and it began burning I then washed my hands again with Fast orange hand cleaner to make sure the chemicals from the Reaper sandwich were completely off my hands and then cleansed my leg which continued to have a burning sensation a few hours after. Not impressed. It's new to the neighborhood so I checked it out, the french fries are very average, reminds me of school cafeteria french fries as a kid. They use regular white bread, maybe something like wonder bread, they charge extra for any type of sauce, other than their Dave's sauce, and my chicken came out undercooked, it was way too soft so I had to put it in my air fryer at home. Sorry, it seems like a nice place and the customer service was fine, but this food isn't good. read more
