As far as fast food chicken spots go, I really don't have any complaints, the food is good and in my numerous visits there's only been once or twice where I've gotten a piece of chicken or two that was a bit overcooked. Where I think this place shines compared to others is the customer service. When I walk in I'm immediately greeted for my order and when I order ahead it's either ready when I arrive, or they waste no time getting it together. They're always very polite and willing to accommodate: once I was very late in getting there for my online order so it was very cold by the time I arrived and I asked if it were possible to get it made fresh which they were very willing to do and didn't seem annoyed in the slightest. I haven't been to any other Church's locations in CO but I've been to a few different Popeyes/KFC and the difference in service is night and day, earth and heaven. Moist vs greasy Churches has been a family favorite since 1967 back when you could taste the herbs and spices over the grease at KFC. But seems Churches might have slipped into the grease pond a bit , yes they are still putting out juicy chicken but with a grease addition, it took 4 napkins for my 4 chicken parts, my wife and I split a 8 Peice, i was shocked when she too went through 4 napkins. Im no math major but that equals one napkin per chicken part. The pieces were very tiny, with little flavor. I find the chicken at KFC and Popeyes to be better. If one wants to have exceptional fried chicken, have Chick Fil-A or Raising Cane's instead. I've been told by friends for years that Church's was the spot to go for fried chicken. Snoop Dog has talked about Church's chicken & apparently his opinion on fried chicken is pretty important. Church's=place of fried chicken worship. It started in the 50s in Texas if you were hoping to get a little history out of this Yelp review. I have strong faith in Popeye's but if I weren't a Popeye's believer I'd come to worship chicken @ Church's for sure. The difference between the 2: Popeye's chicken has better flavor but Church's is less greasy. Definitely some serious stuff to consider when you're debating between the 2. Honey biscuit here for 70 cents was amazing & the mashed potatoes + gravy were also fantastic. The fried chicken comes in regular or spicy. The spicy chicken here was spicier than Popeye's. They also sell baked mac & cheese, fried jalapenos, fried okra, chicken sandwiches & corn.
