Been to a few Dave's (Buffalo, 2 in Boston), and the meals are pretty deliciously consistent. This one is in a mini-strip mall right next to Jersey Mike's and right past the University Mall. There's plenty of parking, so that's not a worry. Place had a similar theme as the others, kind of a youth driven counter-culture. Local graffiti artists tag the walls so it's vibrant and colorful. There's diamond plating halfway up the walls like you would see wainscoting done. The space is huge! I immediately thought when I walked in they need to get some local death metal or punk bands in to play the place. It's setup perfectly for that. We hit the place around 530pm so not too busy. Staff was attentive and ready for our orders. I had the two sliders with fries and a cherry fountain coke. First bite is a reminder of why Dave's is soooo good! You can pick your spice level all the way up to reaper. I went hot. It was flavorful but not too spicy. I say that but 11pm when I went to bed, I'm still feeling the burn a little in my mouth. Not sure I'm brave enough to try reaper (plus I heard you had to sign a waiver). Anyway we left stuffed. Both my wife and daughter took food home. Food's a tad pricey, $66 for 3 meals, but not terrible and certainly worth it compared to say Five Guys. Overall, great meal, great atmosphere and will be returning! read more

Delicious chicken, sauce, and pickles! I love the packets of extra sauce you can get. Truly, best chicken tenders around. We've been 6 times since they've opened. They are consistent. A few areas for improvement if possible: 1. The fries do not hold well in the current packaging. Unsure if there's a better way, but the fries are definitely better fresh in person. Just a tip if you plan to take out. 2. Please tell staff to change gloves when putting containers in to go backs. The last two times I've had red fingerprints all over my box. Not super appetizing. I get they're busy, but just an observation. 3. There are always managers/workers taking up 1-2 tables. Why is this? Do they not have the space in the back? I understand if they are interviewing someone, but it's interesting when there are no available tables and managers are taking up space for a break? A very minor issue, but one I feel I'd address if I owned the place. If there were more tables for dine-in it wouldn't be an issue whatsoever. Looking forward to visiting again soon. I stopped by Dave's Hot Chicken recently, and while the food was (as always) amazing--crispy, spicy, and full of flavor--the real standout of my visit was the employee, Jezreel. From the moment I walked in, Jezreel greeted me with a huge smile and genuine energy that immediately made the experience feel special. He walked me through the menu, asked about my spice tolerance, and helped me choose the perfect heat level. His recommendations were spot on, and you could tell he genuinely wanted every customer to walk away happy. What really impressed me was how attentive and friendly he was to everyone in the restaurant--not just me. He kept the vibe upbeat, made sure tables were clean, and checked in with customers to make sure they were satisfied. That level of care and enthusiasm is rare these days, especially in fast-casual dining. Dave's Hot Chicken is always a great spot for a spicy fix, but Jezreel's amazing customer service took this visit to the next level. The food is so good and the ambiance is great don't get me started on the staff they are so wonderful. Dave's Hot Chicken absolutely lives up to the hype. This place was delicious! I've been three times in my life: once in newton and twice in the last 3 days since the store here in south Burlington opened. Each time was better than the last. I came to DHC in Burlington VT, never having been there before. Charles was at the desk and took quite a bit of time explaining the menu and helping me with sugggestions. First visit! Staff is really helpful. Chicken is delicious. I got the medium spicy which is the lowest level where you can taste the heat. It was just right for me. I would have rated it 5 stars except even after specifically requesting fresh hot fries I got barely warm fries with my order.
