I don't normally eat fast food but this is a new place and my kids were excited to try it and it is totally worth the hype. The people are great. The food is better than I've seen as fast food. It's blow your mind good.!!! Welp.... sort of.... got home to the "sliders" being less than half hearted there was shredded sliced bread at the bottom so I paid 20 extra dollars for sliders as got chicken tenders with cheese melted on them and a disgusting pile of wasted bread Chicken itself was delicious. But the family meal left a lot to be desired!

Last week, we decided to turn our date night into something special with dinner at this Turkish gem followed by a Broadway musical, Newsies, at the Flynn Center. We made a reservation in advance, as this spot is quite popular in the evenings - especially when there's a play happening nearby. The ambiance was inviting and warm, with soft lighting and traditional Turkish decor creating a perfect setting for a romantic evening. The service was exceptional, and our server, Alexandra B., made the experience even more memorable with his attentiveness and friendly demeanor. We started with the Small Meze Platter ($16.99), an excellent choice for sharing. The platter featured haydari, hummus, babaganoush, Turkish salsa, and stuffed grape leaves, all served with soft lavash bread. For those seeking a gluten-free option, fresh-cut veggie sticks are available. Each dip and spread was bursting with flavor, making this a must-try appetizer. For the main course, I chose from the Earthenware Casseroles and ordered the Lamb Guvec ($27.99). The tender, marinated lamb pieces combined with tomato, mushroom, onion, pepper, and eggplant were served sizzling hot, and the aroma alone was irresistible. It was hearty, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the recommended 9oz glass of Vinkara red wine ($16.50). My wife selected the Chicken Adana Kebab ($22.99) from the Traditional Kebabs menu. The mildly spicy, hand-ground chicken seasoned with Turkish maraş pepper and parsley was grilled to perfection and served with Turkish rice pilav, a side of greens, house pickled red cabbage, and marinated onions. She enjoyed every bite and complemented her meal with a 9oz glass of Ancyra white wine ($16.50), which was light and refreshing. To close the evening, we indulged in a classic Turkish dessert, Baklava ($9.99). The layers of fresh phyllo, walnuts, and crushed pistachios, finished with a simple syrup, were the perfect sweet ending to our meal. Istanbul Kebab House continues to impress with its excellent food, cozy ambiance, and impeccable service. Whether it's a casual dinner or a special occasion, this restaurant is a must-visit in Burlington. We'll definitely be back again!

We ordered dinner takeout this time, and everything from the service to the flavors was truly top-notch. We ordered from The Classic Somali Dish menu. I had the Somali Rice with Goat Meat, which was incredibly flavorful. The rice was perfectly seasoned and aromatic, and the goat was tender, well-cooked, and beautifully spiced. My wife had the Coconut Chicken Stew with Rice, and she couldn't stop talking about how delicious and comforting it was -- the coconut sauce added a rich, creamy touch that paired so well with the perfectly cooked chicken and rice. We also shared two beef samosas, which were crispy, savory, and packed with flavorful filling. They were the perfect appetizer to start our meal. The service was friendly, prompt, and welcoming, just like the first time we visited. Even though we ordered takeout, the staff made us feel valued and took great care to package everything carefully to keep it fresh and warm. The ambiance of Kismayo Kitchen is always warm and inviting. Even though we didn't dine in this time, you can still feel the vibrant, welcoming atmosphere when you walk up to place your order. Kismayo Kitchen continues to impress with its authentic flavors, generous portions, and wonderful service. It's quickly becoming one of our favorite go-to spots for Somali cuisine.

I believe there are 4 Nepalese restaurants in the region and other than this, I've not yet been to one before. There are 2 in Burlington, this one is at Dartmouth College in Hanover and the fourth is in Quebec. What a special experience to visit this Kathmandu-style, Nepalese restaurant. The Base Camp Cafe is in the basement of a Dartmouth campus building. Getting to it is tricky if you need the elevator but go through the Mexican restaurant and down their back hallway to get to it. Everyone reviews the Base Camp Cafe's most famous app: the Mo mo's and with good reason. Our mo mo chicken dumplings were not like the Asian steamed dumplings we are used to. They are so much better! The outside of the dumpling is more like a thick wonton soup noodle with multiple layers. Sooo good! The heart chicken flavor is clean and satisfying. There are notes of cilantro apparent in the center. The golden lentil dal soup, on the other hand, was deflating. It was mainly a broth with tiny bits of lentils and not much else. It was more like eating a curried chicken broth with a lentil paste vs. a hearty soup full of lentils. The red chili curry at spice level 5 is delicious. I chose the veggie curry and it has good heat, not too intense. The tomato flavor in this curry is strong like a sun ripened tomato paste. The veggies in it are delightfully firm and crunchy. The gigantic bowl of stir fry noodles are similar to al dente fettuccine vs. a rice pasta. They have an easy smokey flavor. I requested a side of hot sauce. What an impressive first tasting experience! I can only compare it to if you could taste a crystal lake, it is like this. There is a pure, clear flavor that hits your taste buds first. Like water but condensed. Then the heat builds and builds. And continues to build minutes after. The dark green sauce gracing the top of our rice is also an experience. It's more rich and - again - condensed than any hot Asian green chili sauce I've had. It is at least made of cilantro and avocado, but also a tiny amount of jalapeño with olive oil. Absolutely loved it! I do not know exactly how to write this but there was a bit of a spiritual cleansing here and I'm not talking about digestive. Later in the evening we just felt more relaxed and positive from the high mountain peak dining recipes and exotic wall art. It's as though any lingering negative vibes fled and headed back to the hills. The service at the Base Camp Cafe is earnest, efficient and kind. Requests are met with sincerity and smiles come easily here.

Everybody I interacted with - greeter, waiter, food runners, etc. - were friendly, neat, and professional, which along with the great food made a memorable dining experience. I had no trouble making a 6:00 Saturday reservation earlier that day but it did fill up while I was there so it was probably needed. Though there were some seats that remained open at the bar, so walk-ins might be accommodated there. It was a nice bar, with a very pretty stained glass table lamp on the counter and a very cool-looking bartender adding flair to the otherwise conservatively-attired staff. The menu is extensive and very Turkish. Even the wine list: every wine that I checked was Turkish. I know nothing about Turkish wine but the one I did try (many available by the glass) was enjoyable. I tried a cocktail too; a Turkish Cosmo, made with a Turkish pomegranate syrup. This was good too, tangy and not too sweet. For beers they offer ones from Turkey, Vermont, Mexico, and Connecticut. I was happy not to see any major American brands offered. I don't usually comment on prices, but they seemed slightly on the low side here, for everything: drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. I am not complaining! I started with the Cold Meze Platter appetizer, recommended for 2. (Too much for 1 so I took some home.) Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Turkish Salsa, Hadari, and Stuffed Grape Leaves. Everything was very good, and the fresh-baked still-warm hadari bread it was served with was perfect with it. The Baba Ganoush was exceptional, chunky in texture and smoky in flavor. From the very extensive entree section I chose the Surf and Turf: skewers of swordfish and lamb, the latter cooked to order (it came out a perfect medium-rare as requested). The skewers, which also had green pepper and onions, was served with rice, bulghur, grilled tomato, a lemon wedge, and a salad of cabbage and pickled onions. Both the swordfish and lamb were marinated and had lots of flavor. The sides were good too. The portion size was generous and I didn't quite finish it, taking the rest of it home along with some of the appetizer. After finishing my entree and my wine, and taking in the ambience of this relaxing, blue-walled space, it was time for dessert. Among the 8 choices (a refreshingly large number) were 3 kinds of baklava. I went with the Fistikli Çikolata (chocolate, pistachio, and hazelnut) If, like me your experience with baklava has mostly been the junk found on the counter of numerous pizza houses (stale, dry, and overly sweet) this is nothing like that and will change your opinion. The three pieces made a fairly large portion but it was so good there was no question of leaving any behind. This was also offered with Turkish ice cream but I didn't get it that way. Many more things to try here. I hope to return soon.
