    1. The Original Dave's Cosmic Sub

Best sandwiches in all of Burlington. I got the Original Dave's Cosmic (Italian) Sub and it did not disappoint!

Ugh...this could have been a really good sammich. The bread is really good (slightly crispy on the outside), the flavors are there, but the cheese and the minimal amount of other ingredients have me asking why. I got the All American, which is "Delicious Tender Roast Beef, Lettuce, Tomato, Onions, American and Swiss Cheeses, Herbs and Dave's 1000 Island Dressing. Served with our own dill pickle". Well, there was no swiss cheese on this sandwich (they're probably going to blame in on supply issues), but there was plenty of American Cheese. However, it was cut in to cubes and placed on top, so it falls right off as soon as you pick up the sandwich. This could be a good concept, maybe, if they buried it in the sandwich, so it doesnt go all over the place. There was also maybe 2 piece of roast beef on the sandwich as well. And Im not sure how they prioritize orders, between online ordering and ordering in person. I was staying at a hotel, down the street, maybe a 10 minute walk. I placed my order online (via their website) and then walked down there. I entered the store and this couple was deciding what to order. They placed their order, and received it before I got mine. Maybe they put online orders on the backburner? Who knows. Would I go back? I probably woluld. Maybe to try a hot sandwich, so the cheese doesnt go all over the place.

Boy, Dave might seem rock and roll but he's a little strict about his sandwiches.

Sooo close to being 4 stars, but 2 minor complaints. Great sub shop, decent prices, fast service. The complaints are as follows: 1: They make a point to say that you cant customize your sandwich... it comes off as a little extreme. Degrade the quality of the sandwich? If I want to change thousand island to mustard, is it really that earth-shatteringly difficult? This is not a restaurant for picky eaters or those with dietary restrictions I guess. 2: Putting shredded cheese on a cold sub. Frankly, a baffling choice. Most delis use sliced cheese, but I when I got Dave's All American (classic roast beef sub) it had shredded cheese that didn't taste as good or stay on the sandwich as well as slices do. All in all, sandwiches were decent. Still better than Subway and other delis in the area. Dave may be cosmic but he's gonna have to put in work to get that 4th star from me.

Cool sandwich shop! We really enjoyed checking out all of the memorabilia on the walls! And the sandwiches were good! I really like their bread. Kinda kicking myself now for getting the Reuben, as it comes on rye bread instead of their house bread. Also, the meat:sauerkraut ratio was off. Lots of meat, not so much kraut. Gotta have more kraut! The club and the turkey sandwiches were both really good! Plenty of meat, great sauce, lots of flavor. This looks like it's a franchise...I hope it makes its way out west!

While waiting for a table at the outback we took a little trip around the blue mall , first some chocolate at snowflake chocolates then noticed the bright sign for Dave's. Intrigued we walk over to check it out! It's new, I've never heard of it before and we make a plan to come over tomorrow to check it out for lunch after shopping! The next day we followed through with our plans! There are house made sodas, flavorful subs galore and some really interesting chips! I get a tasty bacon sub and it was definitely tasty. My moms sub was too spicy for her, but she wanted to try my sub! I will definitely return, maybe try something new or not!

Traveling for work, best subs on the east coast that I've ever had. Amazing service and a relaxing environment. Couldn't be anymore impressed then I am right now!

My ranking was The Cubano, the Love maker, the PBB and Bee, and then the Apple and Brie with a Blueberry Compote. Which if you know me is a bit of a surprise because I love apples and Brie but all of it was so good, but especially the Cubano. As out-of -towners we were gently guided through the process - get a number, snag a table, stake out your claim, and return to the counter to order your food. We got drinks and waited on getting served. They were busy, so there was a bit of a wait on our order. That is completely understandable as chepes must be individually made rgt before serving. What came out totally matched my expectations. I had the Apples&Brie. Technically "Savory" but is adjacent to "Sweet" The perfectly cooked crepe was filled with crisp sweet Vermont Apples, creamy gooey brie (from Vermont cows perhaps?) and Vermont Bluberry Compote. Not overly sweet and a yummy mix of textures and flavors. My best beloved had the Lumberjack. A very manly item filled with Ham and Cabot Cheddar. He ate every bite which indicated his approval of the meal. Highly recommend this spot for a casual delicious treat any time of day.

A no laptop policy keeps things flowing and encourages folks to talk vs work. Breakfast menu is available all day while lunch starts at 11 and goes until close at 3p. We tried a few things: * croissant - super flaky and perfectly made. * breakfast sandwich - with sausage. Buttery and crispy edges toast with fried egg and melted cheese with sausage. One of my favorite breakfast sandwiches ever. * banner eighteen - a play on cheesesteak with broccoli mushrooms and shaved steak in a sesame hogie. This one had slight spice and a slight taste reminiscent of a combination pizza. It's a big sandwich and quite tasty. * oatmeal raisin cookie - not too sweet which I loved. Chewy. * fresh baquette. I had great expectations because of reviews and I hate to leave a negative review on popular places. The cashier/server was friendly, and the place has a classic small American café vibe, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the food really missed the mark for me. The "crispy cheese" just tasted burnt rather than crispy, and there were way too many greens--cilantro and parsley--which completely overpowered the sandwich. I also didn't care for the sauces at all. Overall, it wasn't a good sandwich. I didn't even finish it and ended up going somewhere else to eat. Between the long wait and the disappointing food, I don't think I'd come back.

The menu is a little chaotic and hard to read, but I did my research beforehand and knew I probably wanted the brakefast sandwich. Luckily Nate ordered the special number 8 and my friend got the basterd bing, so we all kind of shared. Everything is vegetarian! The employee taking our order was super friendly and kind, very much appreciated! We also got some coffee drinks and a donut to share. The donuts are made with biscuit dough, which was interesting and tasty. The texture is quite dense but not dry. Our food was ready quickly and the portions were large - you could definitely share something if you're not super hungry. I need to take a moment to talk about the number 8 sandwich. It BLEW MY MIND in the greatest way ever. I LOVE when I eat foods I've never had, even more so when those foods are delicious and mind-boggling. This is a breakfast sandwich on a tasty sesame bun and it features chicken fried egg. So imagine a pile of scrambled eggs that they somehow deep fry(???) and it turns into something that so closely resembles fried chicken it's wild. Seriously I'm still thinking about this sandwich. I know it sounds so weird but really you just have to try it. The brakefast sandwich was good, but VERY MESSY. Plan for lots of napkins. I will be back for the number 8.
