The chicken is perfectly spiced (you can choose your spice level), toppings were super fresh and I love that they give you sauce and pickles on the side. The cold slaw and pickles paired perfectly on the slider. This is definitely a meal that you need to roll your sleeves up for. Notable mention goes to their fries which were fried to perfection! They were simply salted and the perfect palette cleanser between bites of the chicken. It's been too long since a food review. Blame work. Been by this place at least four times without stopping in. The name scared me a bit, as I really don't do spicy food and the title left me wondering if spicy was all they had. But I had a long dep in Dearborn and figured what the hoo-hah. I mean, there are hospitals in Troy, right? Their menu is simple, which is perfect for a club-wielding caveman like myself. You have the dizzying choice of either tenders by themselves, or tenders on two buns and called a slider. The variety comes from the spices or dry rubs, which range from "Light Mild" to "Medium" to "What the Hell is Wrong With You?" I might be paraphrasing a little bit. Anywho, I ordered two sliders with fries. The seasoning is the star of the show, and it especially helps with the fries. Fries are my favorite food, but crinkle cuts are among my least favorite. They just can't stand against the almighty Straight Fry Syndicate and the Waffle Fry Warriors. THESE crinkle cuts do, and that's saying something. Onto the chicken. The term "sliders" is misleading. It's easily a full-sized chicken sandwich. And after one bite, you'll be glad for that. Again, the seasoning is a game changer. This mess was delicious. The skin is crispier than a new pair of shoes. The white meat is juicier than an orchard and hotter than the surface of the sun. Probably. I've never actually been there. Let's ask Dr. Manhattan what he thinks? I ordered the tender and slider combo and to be on the safe side, I ordered the hot and extra hot flavors rather than reaper. The hot is enjoyably spicy and the extra hot has a genuine kick to it. Came here for the first time and I loved it. The wait time wasn't long at all, and the sliders and fries were delicious! Chicken was juicy, crispy and sweet and spicy. Restrooms had nice A/C in them. I got the medium heat slider combo and the taste was phenomenal. Plenty of food too; they call them sliders but they really are full sized sandwiches. I was in Nashville a few months ago and had hot chicken from a couple of the more prominent places there, they were great, but I honestly can say Dave's better. This is my new favorite chicken sandwich place! I came here for lunch with my husband and son. They don't have a kids menu but there is so much food, it's plenty to share with my 3 year old. I got the #3 and have the tenders and some fries to my son. My husband ordered the #2 and had one of the sandwiches medium the other hot. The manager also gave my husband the reaper chicken tender to try. He likes the taste but was tearing up from the spiciness.... lol. He said it gradually got hotter and hotter. The chicken overall was very juicy, well seasoned and the sauce on the side for your fries was delicious as well. I was beyond full and my husband had to take home his other sandwich cause they are big! I thought the pictures made it seem a little bigger in size but I was wrong. The sandwiches are not the little sliders you expect, they are basically a full sandwich size. My 3 year old is a little picky and he ate everything and loved it! The flavor on the chicken is out of this world! I had taken so long to go because other people were saying it was just ok. It's wayyyy better than ok. I don't have to have the cheese fries again. Just nacho cheese and I thought it was a bit salty. I got a hot slider and a mild tender. I wouldn't dare go extra hot or reaper! Lol. It was the perfect amount of spice for me. The seasoning/spice and crispness was good but the tenders are WAY too large. They are fat and it's really unappetizing, hard to eat, and the inside is gross. We went to the Dave's Hot Chicken on the East side of Madison WI. My daughter order a chicken sandwich and mild for the spice. She hit hot instead. I even tried the chicken and it was way hotter than medium as that is what I got. She went back up to ask that her sandwich was hotter than mild. The lady told my daughter that she saw the other lady took it from the mild. My daughter responded that it's way too spicy. The lady gave my daughter the look like she didn't believe my daughter and took her sandwich back. While my daughter was waiting for her chicken to be remade the workers were talking bout her in Spanish. We've been to this location before and was never treated like this. Terrible service - bunch on kids playing around, playing I wanna be cool. The food: the hot is not eatable way too hot and the portion is not filling. This comes from a guy that eats a lot of hot food. It was passed to someone else to try it and they could not eat it. We are talking about first hot level one not the three upper ones. You pay $15 bucks for a meal and the soda and you leave hungry. They make feel like your a number that is bothering their "I wanna be cool" time. I love the unique and silly decorations along the walls. Food is great too, I really like the chicken tenders and I order lunch from here frequently. Being Halal is a plus, since everyone at my work can eat here this is one of the few places we can order in bulk for our whole team.
