The young lady greeted us as soon as we walked in the door, which was pleasant and we were able to place our order. My son decided to order tenders with the level of medium and I decided to order tenders as well with light mild. When we got our food, it was fresh and hot. The fries were good, but they were literally drowned in seasoning to the point where it was a little overwhelming. I ended up dusting off the fries quite a bit. The chicken though was so good and juicy. I like the fact that although it was a large piece, it wasn't dry on the inside. DHC. Dave's hot chicken is a franchise on a come Up. I've had them in multiple cities and all have been delicious. This visit was no different. Ordered the 2 slider hot, that comes with FF and their Dave's sauce. Also the 2 tender that came with french fries and their sauce. Both the items were delicious and the french fries were seasoned very good. I am going to try the extra hot next time to see how tastebuds feel. The service was fine. Had some Hot Chicken at the original Prince's in Nashville last year. It was yummy, and hot. Tried KFCs version, it wasn't either. Was excited to try Dave's. Ordered the #1 which is two tenders, bread, pickles and crinkle fries. There's a side of Dave's sauce too which is a little hard to define. More spicy mayo than anything else. I was beginning to wonder about the wait but then the molten hot food came out. It was definitely fresh from the fryer. I had the medium which was hot enough for me. But there was almost too much dry spice on the tenders. And I feel like regular chicken would be much better (like Prince's). The fries also had spice on them. The pickles were good to temper the heat but the white bread was uninspired. Again I think the sauce with more dry rub than liquid was the culprit. At other places the bread soaks up the sauce. I only needed one refill on my ice tea. At Prince's it was more like 4. I saw a neighboring customer with a 'slider' meal. Be forewarned it's really a chicken sandwich more than a slider. My #1 was plenty filling. The food was fine, it just wasn't as good as I hoped. A solid 3.5 but rounding generously to 4. read more

Every time I eat Dave's Hot Chicken, I like it a little bit more. This place is really super good. Walking in, I'm familiar with their brand, and had no clue that this specific location even existed. I've been to their Troy location, but when I saw this one, I had to stop in to eat. Walking in, the place has plenty of seating, is very clean and an overall great location and easy to find. The lady at the counter was very polite, professional and helped me order my food. I usually get the #4 when I'm here, and went with the mild spice this time since I was feeling a bit sassy. LOL. My food came out and I literally ate it as fast as I could. Fortunately, they have fountain pop here, so I was able to get refills as I needed. The mild spice was good, and I didn't feel it until much later in the sandwich. Fries here are delicious and I plan on being back. Thank you Dave's Hot Chicken, you rock it out. My sister was hell bent on getting me to try this place. She had it a few times and raved about it so I finally gave in. I love me some spicy chicken so it didn't take much convincing. She said 'Medium' spice served her well in the past, so that's what I went for. I always get my sandwiches without mayo, aioli's, etc. We both got #3s, which includes one slider and one tender with crinkle fries. I went in for the slider first and holy hell was that eventful! Unlike my sister, I was not dipping mine in a sauce so I had a tough time taking on that heat. She was quite entertained and I was just trying to get through it. Not one to give up or waste food, it took me an hour to finish! I decided to leave the tender alone and remarked my carryout box as HOTT. Forgetting what had happened an hour prior, I went back to the tender but this time had a side of BBQ sauce. What. A. Difference. The juicy tender didn't phase me one bit. I didn't excrete one bead of sweat. I think that's the secret; have some sauce to absorb some of the rub or you might think you're dying, like I did. Took my lunch break to try this new location of Dave's hot Chicken. It was my first time at a Dave's. It had a nice atmosphere, when I arrived it wasn't busy but the lunch rush came just after I ordered. I ordered a single slider and fries, which is a good amount of food. Their slider is just their tender on a bun with pickles and kale slaw. Dave's sauce is pretty good and has some spice. It's a good chicken sandwich. The drink cost extra, which was annoying. A first time customer was saved from never returning due to an awesome employee you have at your Warren location, named Huey. My daughter and I were waiting in line for a bit. She really wanted to try Dave's Hot Chicken after she got out of the hospital. The young female who was originally at the register was extremely rude to us. When it was our turn, she walked away without acknowledging us whatsoever. No "hello", no "one moment please", she didn't even look at us. Thankfully for Huey, who seemed to had noticed what had just happened, asked her if she had helped the next guests in line, and took over from there. He was extremely polite and courteous. His customer service skills are wonderful, as he was able to smooth over a situation that would have originally made me upset. Please recognize him for a job well done. Next, on to the food . We ordered two combos, with two additional sides (macaroni and cheese, and kale slaw), and two soft drinks. Our total was just under $40. Overall, we enjoyed the food! We both agree, the fries were best! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, very yummy dipped in the Dave's sauce. I recommend ordering extra Dave's sauce. The chicken was good as well. You can choose from different spice levels. I personally tried VERY HOT on my tender, and REAPER on my slider. The reaper spice level is so much spicier than the very hot spice level!!!! I'm glad I at least tried the reaper, but next time I will just stick with the very hot spice level. The macaroni and the kale slaw were very mediocre, and I could have definitely done without them. There was no sauce on the kale slaw, I expected there to maybe be a cole-slaw like dressing, but instead it was very flavorless. The macaroni and cheese was also very bland and boring tasting. The slider was ok, but nothing to write home about. The fries were crinkle cut (my favorite) with a little spice. The mac n cheese...absolutely hated it. I had to do a double take because she actually said "condiments." What kind of place is this? You don't have to have the mentality of a middle schooler to avoid double entendres like that. The WHOLE point of online ordering is to SAVE time by ordering ahead. I didn't have to wait at all. Housekeeping: It was a clean drive thru. I didn't go inside. It was late, & nobody from the street tapped on my window asking for money so that's always a plus. The chicken strips are very large and the fries are great when hot. However, there is no difference in spice levels. I got one strip each of medium, hot, extra hot and reaper. All of them tasted identical. The one labeled medium had the most visible spice on it, like it hadn't been properly cooked in oil and was just sitting on top. This one was the least appetizing.
