What a great place to have a rehearsal dinner. Our family was hosted in a private dining room. I wish that I would have taken names because the service was amazing! The drinks were flowing. Love the Brazilian lemonade. They also did a modified strawberry hibiscus caipirinha mocktail for me which was so delicious. I'm not a beef eater, but the family enjoyed so many delicious cuts. Picanha sirloin. Fraldinha bottom sirloin. Alcatra top sirloin. Costela beef ribs. For me, it's just lamb when I eat red meat. Lamb chops medium. Lamb picanha marinated with fresh mint, white wine and lemon then fire roasted. Yum! My favorite though is the salad market table. Slices of smoked salmon. Hearts of palm. Asparagus. Brazilian egg salad. Grilled cauliflower. Chickpea salad. I can actually skip the meat completely and be so satisfied. Try not to fill up on the pao de queijo, Brazilian cheese bread. It is so addictive!! Not sure why we needed dessert but the trio was a sweet way to end a great meal and begin a weekend filled with family and lots of love. The crème brûlée cheesecake was an unexpected highlight and the perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommended. Seating consists of movable armless chairs that can be easily rearranged to accommodate a wheelchair. Along the dining room's outer wall, there is ample space to park a mobility device, such as a walker, without obstructing foot traffic. Visited today for the first time for my best friend's birthday. We had a party of 5 which did not include my friend's one year old. I took notes so let's go down the list. The food was phenomenal, I absolutely loved the meat selection and it was well seasoned. However, we did have to ask for select cuts of meat several times and some cuts just never came around. The wait times were absolutely ridiculous, we waited more than 30 minutes for the complimentary sides (fried polenta, cooked bananas, etc), we waited 45 minutes to an hour for someone to come around with ribeye and then another 30 minutes to order dessert. All in all we spent about 3 hours in the restaurant but only ate for about an hour total. We also had a server change in the middle of the service which caused all types of confusion when it came time to pay. One person in my group did feel that a lot of the issues we experienced were racially motivated but everyone did not share that sentiment. In all there is so much room for improvement, first impressions are everything and for this being my first time I felt as though so much could have done differently. My partner and I are already planning our return visit in hopes that a different party size, time, and day will make a difference. read more

Beware of offerings of shrimp cocktail or shots that seem free but end up on your bill! This has happened a couple times where we're offered the shots or the shrimp cocktail and are not told it costs anything but ends up on the bill for a ridiculously high price. It's quite disrespectful to the customer when we're already spending a lot to be there. In this recent visit, some of the meats that were brought out were medium well or well done as well. Not sure if they were just having an off day but it was disappointing to get a well done filet even though our table asked for medium/medium rare. read more

This location is always clean, with a good ambiance and space between tables. It can get crowded/ busy during dinner times and weekends but it's such a fun experience so it's worth it. There's a huge salad bar with fruits and even some soup options in the middle: it's ginormous and there's a lot of options!!!! A LOT! The steaks and meats served in the churrasco experience are always tasty. They serve them done differently, so you can always ask for well done, medium, rare, medium rare, and so on. There's also lamb and chicken and the more deluxe experience includes bone marrow and other stuff. If you're feeling stuffed (which good for you for getting your money's worth!) they offer pineapple (as well as glazed pineapple) which had an enzyme that actually helps you feel less stuffed. I loved their picanha which they describe as their house special and the garlic steak! This place is considered expensive, at $49 for the 'full' churrasco experience and $69 for the more premium one. You do have to flag someone down if you feel like you want another cut of steak as sometimes, the same ones keep making their way back to you when you know exactly what you want. But the staff are super courteous and lovely every time we've been here. read more

Over cooked meats should not be in rotation. The "rotation" is flawed. Please don't send the same cut of meat out with four different people to the same section of the restaurant. It's supposed to be a rotation so we get variation. First impressions are everything and our server missed the mark here. I brought people who had never been here. My wife and I had reservations on 3/21/26 at 6:45pm and we arrived at 6:30. The restaurant was very busy when my wife checked in with the hostess and was told we had a few tables ahead of us. We decided to leave at 7:15 when we hadn't been seated. Several tables who arrived before us that didn't have reservations were seated after 6:45. I don't see the point of making reservations if they're not going to be honored, and feel it's a poor business practice, I'm leaving 1 star due to the fact that zero isn't an option. read more

This is some of the tastiest food I've ever had, but the table service took away from the experience. I've been to Brazilian steakhouses before, and I know that there are people with skewers of meat roving around, offering to carve some of it onto your plate. This, of course, depends on what you've ordered, but I understand the concept. I ordered the Chilean Seabass, and my wife ordered steak. Not long after that, somebody showed up with a tiny plate of mashed potatoes and a tiny plate of fried bananas. The mashed potatoes were buttery and delicious, but there should have been two of these plates, and there should have been an entrée next to these plates. We were told we could ask for more with our meal. The fried bananas were also good, but something I would've preferred at the end of the meal. The Seabass arrived, but my wife's steak didn't, so I waited. We tried to locate our server, and we couldn't, but we asked somebody else to find her for us. My wife told me I should eat some before it gets cold, and I'm glad we did. It was absolutely flawless, with the natural sweetness of the fish framed by a light vegetable medley. We finally found somebody to help us find where my wife's steak was. Apparently, the waitress flipped that card with the red side up, and nobody would stop by with that skewer of meat. But, someone finally figured out that her sitting there with literally nothing in front of her was probably not what she wanted to do. A man with a skewer of steak came by in short order, and shaved off maybe 10 ounces of some gloriously charred sirloin. The guy with the skewer was not the mashed potato guy, but he said he'd send somebody over with mashed potatoes for us. Things eventually came together, but the service experience was strange. Lesson learned. There are also amazingly delicious mini dinner rolls. We finished those off pretty quickly as we waited for the meal. These also were eventually refilled, but we had to ask 4 times - including the waitress twice - before somebody finally brought some. Since we arrived during happy hour, the beer was only $5 and the cocktails were a really reasonable $10. The price for everything before tip was $110, which is very reasonable for all that you get, and for the amazing quality of the food. There are some seriously talented chefs in the kitchen here. Ordered the full churrasco experience which offered a solid rotation of meats, with the top sirloin, chicken and lamb standing out. The roasted chicken was juicy and reliable, while the lamb chops added nice richness. The appetizer and salad bar was extensive and thoughtfully stocked. This is more of a review update, same restaurant, but a different state. My experience at this location was completely different from the one I had in Florida. Our server, Gabriel, was absolutely amazing, attentive, caring, and genuinely committed to providing excellent service. Dennis was just as attentive with making sure our table was well stocked with whatever we needed. The manager also stopped by our table to personally ensure that my husband and I were well taken care of, which we truly appreciated. The food was fresh, hot, and served in generous portions. Family of 5 - everything we hoped for and more. Plan to be there a couple hours. We had reservations at 7 tonight (Saturday) and I'm thankful. It was packed as we were being seated. Quality has steadily dropped at FoGo since the first time I visited a handful of years ago. I keep making the drive over 1.5hrs with the hopes of recapturing the original experience, but this will likely be the last time I go. Reasons: 1. Food quality has steadily dropped over the years. The first time I went, every cut was mouth watering. This past time, only one of the cuts lived up to this standard (and only one time it was brought out). Multiple cuts were way over cooked (well beyond well done, despite asking for medium) , and way under seasoned. Even the prime rib was crunchy. At the salad bar, the bacon (which was always a highlight for me) was in a cloth basket rather than a heated serving dish and looked like it had been sitting out for an extended amount of time, with the bacon grease cooled to the point that there was a thick coating of white grease on each, no longer crunchy, piece. 2) Variety of cuts has dropped noticeably. If you like parmesan pork, lamb, or chicken wings, you're in luck, because that circulated more than anything else. Chewy garlic steak was the most prevalent of the beef cuts. I had to specifically ask for beef (of any kind but garlic steak) to be brought around, and only got ribeye (overcooked) when I asked specifically for it. I used to love getting to try all the different cuts of beef, but it's clear that the "full experience" is now only partially full (with majority cheap cuts and cheap meats). 3) Service (Not the wait staff- they were tremendous as always) is extremely slow. The first time I went to FoGo I felt like I couldn't keep up with the constant flow of meats to the table (a dream!), but each consecutive time I've gone, distance between offerings has slowed more and more. Tonight I sat for extended amounts of time with my green card flipped up, multiple times, between offerings (with majority of the offerings just another cheap meat). We even asked on arrival to be placed where we might have food more readily offered after having this same issue the last time, and we were placed in the main stream of "traffic", but to no avail. The managers stopped by the table more often than someone offering a cut of beef. 4) All of the above could be overlooked and chalked up to "shrink-flation" (I know everyone out there is struggling), but all the while, prices have been steadily rising since that first visit just a handful of years ago, and I can no longer afford to bring my family here as a result. Note: I would be on the lookout for 4 and 5 star reviews on Google and elsewhere. Reviews are solicited at the end of the meal in exchange for free dessert (which ironically was the best part of the meal...maybe they should be a bakery) read more

We've been coming here for years. The meat is great quality and cooked to our liking. They'll bring more meats upon request if you're missing them in their rotation. Our favorites are the beef ribs, rib eye, filet mignon, and the fried cheese with honey is to die for! The market table is full of great appetizers, fresh fruits, cheese, salad, etc. The candied bacon is a hidden gem too. It sometimes can take a bit to get the bill but it has never deterred us from coming. It's our favorite restaurant around and it is also the best Fogo De Chao location that we've been to around the country. It's always clean and well kept during any time of the day. It's significantly tastier than Texas De Brazil in our opinion. They also offer great birthday and anniversary perks. read more

I drive an hour down there, to find out that they are running hours behind even with reservations. That's unacceptable.... Disappointing meals today Today my husband and I stopped into the Fogo de Chow in Troy at about 3:00 for a late lunch. We got seated very quickly and my husband ordered the full meal and I otfered the salad bar because I don't eat a lot of meat. We have been here maybe 9 or 10 times i and the salad bar has always been amazing but today I was very disappointed. Again I only get the salad bar so I put some potato salad, some apple salad, a green tossed salad with a variety of toppings on my plate. The first bite was very salty but I thought it was just an of day. Turned out everything on my plate except the potato salad was so salty I could not eat anything except the potato salad. I thought maybe it was a fluke but I wasn't willing to try again because by then my taste buds were gone. I mentioned it to my husband and he said that he thought it was just him because some of the meat was so salty he couldn:t eat it. I had thought he just wasn't hungry and wasn't eating the meat. He gave me a sliver of a piece of picanato taste. When I put it in my mouth it was so salty I couldn't even chew it. One of the staff came over and I explained to her that we were unable to eat the food because of the saltiness. She looked at us and said let me go talk to the kitchen. When she came back she said the manager is working on it and walked away. Then the waitress came over and said I'll bring your bill in a minute. Normally when people complain about food and you look at their plate and you see portions of meat that have one piece taken out, meet left on the plate to the point where we had to change plates for my husband, and my plate was still full of food, most of the time they would discount what you pay or just tell you don't worry about it, or over some type of adjustment. None of those things happened today. The bill came and we were charged the full price for both meals. Not only that, the manager never came over to the table to say one word to us. This is a very disappointing experience and it will be a while before we ever come back here. We spent a total of $98.53 for a meal that neither one of us could really eat. read more

Okay, this was my first time coming to Fogo de Chao and I had high expectations. It was a Saturday so that may have been the reason for service being below my expectations. Our server was very nice, but appeared to be flustered. We requested our sides multiple times, there were mix ups on the dinner experience we ordered due to the wrong table marker being placed on the table, but that was fixed after some confusion. Overall the food was good, the garlic steak and lobster tail was my favorite. The manager did comp the bill due to the service. Overall the restaurant was okay, the decor is beautiful and staff is nice. Would I return? Today was my sister's birthday and she decided she wanted to come to Fogo de Chão to celebrate. I haven't been here in forever. The ambience is so relaxing and peaceful. Karen came to greet us not only at the door but all throughout our amazing time while dining. Karen made sure that we were happy and had a tasting of all of the delicious food that came with our meal. The market buffet that came with the meal was also delicious. Of course, I ate more than my fair share of everything but then Karen stopped at our table with the dessert menu and who leaves a delicious meal without dessert??? My sister ordered the papaya cream and I ordered the cheesecake brûlée. The papaya cream was the perfect end of our meal. It was refreshing and helped to cleanse the palate. Now the cheesecake was on an entirely different level of the dessert game. NEVER Again!! I brought my Brazilian girlfriend here as a taste of home while she was visiting. The terrible service here ruined the entire evening and experience. To start, they didn't have the glass of champagne my girlfriend wanted, which was fine, so I ordered a drink and a bottle of wine for the table. When the wine was served by the person I think was the bar manager, no tasting of the bottle was offered. She just opened the bottle and poured. The server was anywhere but our table after that. Talking with other servers, walking around, or completely unseen. She (Gabriela) never came to the table to ask if I wanted another drink, or to see if the dinner was going well. We had dirty plates waiting over a half hour to be cleared as she walked by many times. When she did take them, she said nothing and walked away. There was more than one occasion that my girlfriend and I sat with nothing to eat because there was only 1 gaucho with any meat to offer the entire restaurant! That's terrible for a churrascaria. There was only one of the gauchos who asked if there was a particular type of meat we wanted. Kudos to him. It's a shame because the food was decent when we were actually able to get some. It needed salt, but aside from that, it was passable. One gaucho approached the table and asked "You wanna try this?" I asked what it was and before she even replied, she slapped a piece of meat on my plate and said "beef rib", which I did not want, and I told her so. That was a first for me in any churrascaria. After finally getting the food we wanted and finishing eating, we waited for quite some time before the bar manager came back to ask if everything was alright. I told her it wasn't and explained my concerns. She said "Thank you for your feedback." No apologies whatsoever. Next thing I know the original server drops off the check without a word before dashing off. I place my card, she returns to take it, again, without a word. Runs the card, brings back the receipt without a thank you, an apology, or even an acknowledgement. It was probably the worst service I've ever received because at some point, it went from being unintentional bad service to intentionally bad service. I asked for no discount or extra offering, and none was offered. I will never return, and I will recommend to avoid Fogo de Chao to anyone I hear that may be considering it. read more

Visted this location to celebrate my birthday. Service was decent but could have been better. I was disappointed at the offerings on the buffet as there were very few hot sides. We told the server it was our first time so I had hoped for some better guidance. For example we had no idea we should have asked for sauces to try with the various meet options. They give you potatoes to go with your meat but they're put on the table before meats arrive so they are very cold when you get to them. My husband ordered fish and found it a little underwhelming but hey, you're here for the meat! All of the meat that made it to our table was very tasty however we noticed there were several on the menu that didn't seem to make it into the rotation. Again, our first time so we really didn't know what to ask. I don't know that I would go back to this location when there are other similar concepts out there to try. read more

I want to give 5 stars as the meat was excellent minus how overcooked the chicken breast,thighs and beef ribs were presented, almost to a jerky texture. Super Bowl Sunday was not as busy as usual and the timeframe that meats were served were not consistent. The beef and pork meat quality were juicy, excellent and cooked to perfection minus the beef ribs. Pork and lamb were to perfection. The bacon wrapped chicken was very moist but the breast and thighs were way overcooked. We asked on more than one occasion for the beef ribs which appeared to have been left to cook until almost jerky and the ribeye never did arrive after asking three times. Throughout the timeframe there were few meats that were offered twice and included the bacon burnt thighs and dried out chicken breast. The Picanha was offered frequently. The salad bar was out of Ranch and not that impressive with I recall three dressings including Caesar and a basil dressing . I do not call seeing Chimichurri. The black beans a Brazilian staple food were so very disappointing. They were bland and had no seasoning nor pork to add flavor. They were so watery and they just turned the rice a purplish color. We had to ask for more Brazilian bread which felt like very long time. The mashed potatoes and polenta servings were shameful. Three little polenta strips (3"X.5")were so cooked it was as if consuming a very hard Cheeto, surprising us by flying off the plate when we tried to cut them. There were maybe a slight heaping 1/4cup of mashed potatoes that only covered most of the little plate because they were so thin. The bread on the salad bar was very thin cut and so flat you could almost spread butter, again about 3"X.5". I may give it another try? Both Brazilian steakhouses have their pluses and minuses. I enjoyed the meats better here minus those not cooked correctly and the seasonings better but I have to give a shout out for the salad bar at the competition as it is much better to include their cheesy potatoes. Extra kudos for putting up with all our questions (like where the lamb is sourced from) The meats were all very good, the crispy polenta is addictive and probably my only 4 star review would be the 'sides' bar but that's just because there weren't many things on it that I cared for, so that's just a matter of personal taste. As far as the price goes, it was $135 for two of us, but if the food is good, and we are satisfied when we leave, It's worth every penny. Been a while since the last time visiting a Fogo. The "market bar" is full of fresh and very appealing sides. I only jumped on the vegetables since I planned to focus on the proteins from the gauchos skewers. Then the pad is green, gauchos came around quick and constant. All the meats are well prepared. Maybe it was my taste bud, most of the items tend to be just a tad heavier on salt but otherwise tasted great. Our server struck a very nice balance being attentive without being disruptive. Our waitress was super sweet and really on top of things, but honestly, the food just wasn't worth the price. The meat options were pretty limited. Most of the time it was just sirloin (top or bottom), chicken, garlic steak, and then sometimes picanha, lamb, lamb chop, a beef "rib," or grilled cheese with honey. For an all-you-can-eat steakhouse, I expected way more variety. The salad bar was fine. There was potato salad, chicken salad, Caesar, build-your-own options, hearts of palm, sliced meats and cheeses, sugar covered cold bacon?, fruit, etc., but nothing was special. It filled the plate but didn't wow me. And that's fine because most people come for the meats anyway, right? That's where things went downhill fast. Besides the picanha and beef rib, the meats lacked any flavor. Not even the basic seasoning like salt and pepper touched these cuts. I kept asking for medium-rare, but they always carved from the dry, burnt outside. Bitter, chewy, and flavorless - mmm. After sitting there for an hour, our waitress asked if we wanted to try any of the cuts we hadn't gotten yet. We said yes, but it still took 30 more minutes for them to show up. Why aren't those coming around with the rest? Why wait for us to ask? But when they did come out, they were awful too (filet mignon being one of them). Honestly, the best thing we ate all night were the little gluten-free cheese puffs they bring to the table right away. Everyone loved those at least. The lobster my daughter got for her birthday was a huge letdown too. It was such a tiny portion, maybe 3oz, and super fishy. They dumped a ton of lemon juice on it, probably to cover up the flavor of old shellfish and I felt bad bc coming here was her only birthday wish and we saved up to take her. I get that meat prices are high right now, but good food doesn't have to be fancy or expensive. You just need to care about what you're cooking and learn a few techniques. Many years ago my wife and I went to Fogo de Chao in Chicago. It was a nice, very upscale experience. We ate our fill and enjoyed the night in its entirety. The other day we saw that they had a $44 deal for a 3 course meal. We were celebrating an anniversary of sorts, so we decided to try out the local store which opened a few years ago. (6.5 yrs ago, wow). We got a reservation but the place was mostly empty for our early 5:15 dinner. They did fill up more as the night continued but it definitely wasnt full on a weeknight. It was a nice setting but people were sorely underdressed (tank tops?) and we watched the bus staff remake a table with wrinkly linens poorly arranged. My wife, who served during college, pointed out that they really shouldn't have set the table like that. Our server was very nice and asked about the special occasion. The provided cheesy bread wasn't to our liking. We had had some very similar Brazilian style bread days prior and it's just not to our taste, so ymmv. The fried polenta, mashed potatoes, and caramelized banana were unremarkable, mostly because they were lukewarm at best. The salad bar was ample but the freshness wasn't quite the level of before. The tomato soup was also unusually spicy. That said theybdo have some things you mostly don't see elsewhere. My wife, who is mostly vegetarian but does enjoy meat rarely, decided the ($36) salad bar would be enough for her. She saved all of $8 dollars on the decision which seemed odd. Indeed, it's not clear what the distinction was between our $44 deal and a regular meal. I'd have to check pricing. It seemed I got the same meat experience as my neighbor at another table. He had the regular flip card while mine was different. The flip card, for the uninitiated, has green and red sides to tell the gaucho waiters to bring meat or stop. The meat itself was okay and well seasoned but often over done. You can ask for what doneness you prefer but it was always leaning towards more than you wanted. One piece of lamb was terribly over. And you may wait to get a particular cut. Picanha is generally the best of them, imo. My meal came with a choice of creme brulee, tres leches cake, or a chocolate cake. I chose the creme brulee and it was good, nothing special and they could have used fresher fruit. The strawberry was particularly disappointing, like it came from a freezer bag. Throughout the meal servers also brought by extras to sell and boost our bill. We demurred on a grapefruit shot and a shrimp cocktail. It just seemed a little low class. I don't really want to be bothered and definitely don't want to ask what the price premium was going to be, lest you get surprised at the end. For some reason the dessert was listed as a comp for the special occasion. The bill was over $100 with tip and we didn't bother with drinks. The price wouldn't bother me but the whole experience was just less than I hoped for. I can see this as a tough business model after the pandemic. But I'd pay a little more for higher quality.
