I absolutely love Dave's Hot Chicken. I saw there was one along the way home and had to stop at this location. The food was amazing, but very dirty in the restrooms and they had no napkins stocked in the dispensers. My wife asked me to check the men's restroom for toilet paper because there was none in the women's room. I checked and there was trash all over the floor, one empty toilet paper roll and barley any on the other. It was very slow in there so I'm not sure what happened? read more

Went in around 6:45 only to be told take out only? Mind you they're open until 11. Make their own rules around here. They were serving customers with their dirty mop/chemical gloves on. The food is mediocre for the high price. The customer service takes it down a few more notches. And for the dining area, it looked like it had not been cleaned all day. We watched the cashier mumble a ticket number then slam the food on the counter, wondering what that customer did wrong. When our number was called we checked the box before leaving to see that they had forgotten the extra pickles. After yelling "excuse me" a few times over the four people in the kitchen, the gentleman looked up from preparing his black and mild cigar (yes I said in the kitchen) to ask what I needed, so I am assuming he may have been the manager or crew lead. Yall need to get it together, service is way too slow for one main item on the menu... I mean don't you know what everyone will order... chicken! had an extremely disappointing experience at Dave's Hot Chicken that I feel needs to be shared. From the moment I walked in, things were clearly not running as they should. First, the wait time for our order was absolutely incredulous. What should have been a quick meal turned into an unnecessarily long and frustrating wait, with little to no communication from the staff about what was causing the delay. Customers around me were just as confused and irritated. Even more concerning was the behavior of the assistant manager on shift. It was very apparent that they were not in a professional state to be working--appearing intoxicated and acting in a way that was completely inappropriate for someone in a leadership role. This created an uncomfortable environment and clearly contributed to the lack of organization and efficiency in the restaurant. Overall, the combination of extremely poor service, excessive wait times, and unprofessional management made this one of the worst dining experiences I've had. A restaurant full of people standing around waiting, and they start telling customers that are coming in that they won't even take orders for 10 or 15 minutes. Kitchen staff said it takes a long time to make the chicken because they're making everything fresh. But when I finally got my nuggets, they were room temperature. This place has been all over tik tok so I decided to try them out. I've always been a fan of chicken tenders, especially when they are made spicy. So when I saw that you had the option to choose how spicy you wanted the tenders to be I knew I had to try them. I would have been fine if it came with a drink but it didn't. If I had to choose between Raising Canes, I'd choose Raising Canes not only for the price point, but I just love how much more food you get with your meal and Raising Canes was a lot cleaner as well. read more

I had a combo. It was a sandwich with some sauce on it. Two tenders. There was some sauce and some fries. I chose medium. It was too highly seasoned extremely highly seasoned. You couldn't even taste the actual chicken. I took the breading off. The chicken was not dry, but I really couldn't taste the chicken. I ended up throwing it away. The french fries were excellent. The bun on the sandwich was good and so with the pickles, I really did not enjoy it at all. It was a waste of money and I will not be going back. It was like an overkill with the seasonings and I chose Medium. I sent my son in. He had been there before and he enjoys the food and he said no one seemed interested in waiting on him so he waited until they were done goofing around and being on the cell phone and then they took his order and I understand the way things are these days could help. It's hard to find I get it but like I said, my son might come back for himself, but I had a bad experience I will not be back, but like I said, the fries were really phenomenal. This was a bad eating experience on many levels. When my brother and I walked in there were no other customers. We ordered and waited about fifteen minutes for our food. No problem. I ordered a #4; a sandwich with fries. My brother ordered a piece of chicken and fries. Our fries were cold. My brother was missing his pickles which he had ordered. So he went back to ask for hot fries and his pickles. The person who took our order rolled her eyes at his request and asked "really?" Meanwhile, I decided to eat my cold fries, which had a distinctly bitter aftertaste, so I stopped eating them. My sandwich looked like it had been thrown into its container with sauce spilling over the sides. I struggled to get it into my hands but it was a total mess. It seemed like there was no care put into making it easy to handle. I took a bite and thought right away that a mistake had been made. It tasted and had a strange rubber texture. I thought that I had been given the wrong order because it resembled undercooked fish. By then, my brother was back. I told him about my sandwich and he smiled and said "they don't serve fish". With that, I tossed out all of my food. When I did so, I noticed that the floor was full of crumbs and old pieces of chicken. It made me kind of queasy. We both agreed that we wouldn't be going back. Service: When I walked in it was pretty slow and about 4 employees walked right past the front counter not even acknowledging me or saying someone else would assist me. Waited about 5 mins before the actual front counter person came. He was very nice and did assist once he was there. Ambiance: although the murals are nice it would've been good to see someone cleaning the font of house especially the drink area considering how slow it was. However, it took a good deal of time to receive my food, much longer than I expected considering there wasn't a line when I arrived and it seemed like a fast food setup. I didn't time it but would guess 15 minutes maybe more. While waiting with about three or four others who were there before me, I noticed that three women in the kitchen were grouped next to the window looking down at their phones. They stayed this way practically the entire time in plain view from the dining room. We walked in and three employees were playing with their phones while the floor, tables, etc., were in bad need of cleaning. The trash in the bathroom was full and there were no paper towels. We love Dave's Hot Chicken so much but will be sticking with the Lakewood location from here on out. The employees at Warrensville (especially the one woman who may or may not have been a manager) was acting out emotionally, telling other employees to shut up, making a scene when someone asked for napkins and then announced loudly that the whole restaurant was out of napkins. She dropped a stack of cups on the floor and then proceeded to put them up for customer use. They all touched the floor! Another employee threatened to beat her up after they argued back and forth. It was the total opposite of any experience you'd want to have at a restaurant. It made us feel very uncomfortable. My fiancée and I took one look at each other and walked right out of without placing our order and drove to the Lakewood location.
