The burger had pink through and through . I called the waitress and she agreed that is wasn't what I asked for. I let her know I didn't want the burger anymore to switch it out to potato skins. While they were making that order, I noticed they didn't even add the bacon. My husband's wings were underwhelming, as he stated nothing to write home about. By the time the potato skins came out, I ate one and asked for a box. I just wanted to leave, by the time all this transpired I didn't want to eat anymore. The reason I gave them a few stars was that our waitress treated everything professionally. She is the face that we see. We don't see the people actually cooking. I know that she relayed the order as given. She was so apologetic and just took the brunt of the blame. I didn't and don't blame her. She received her tip, but not the extra I usually give. Lately I feel that the restaurants are trying to survive possibly with lack of employees (not sure this is the case for them). It was a Sunday, who knows. Come on Max & Erma's, I was one of your biggest fans! I gave you a three stars due to my long standing patronage of your restaurant and overall love for this place, I want you to succeed. I like the mini sized sandwiches, they're just the right size if I want chips or fruit with it. The filling ratio is good, and they're really fast in there! Ok fine... then I started to list the items that were missing from my sandwhich. The manager responded by asking "why would you want those?"... umm... because that's what I ordered and paid extra for!!!! Then he stood and just stared at me with a blank stare... there was no "can I see the incorrectly made sandwhich", no "can we correctly make you another", no "can we get those missing items for you so YOU can put them on your sandwhich". Our server, Helen, took everything in stride and hit a home run in the way she took our orders, got everything right and sorted out the individual payments miraculously.
