I'm not exaggerating when I say I'm here almost every day. Convenient to my house, I can skip over and buy dinner that's prepared or get something I can throw together. The star of the store is their meat department. I can say that I've never had more consistent high quality meat anywhere else. They know how to cut the steaks so that you get a great taste and flavor. They're super friendly and helpful and the selection is always fresh. This spot also has great pizza, sushi and an amazing soup station with four soup choices that switch up daily. The rotisserie chicken soup and coconut curry lentil are my faves! Well stocked shelves are always neat and tidy and the front end checkout folks are super efficient and kind. Love shopping here! read more

I love the seafood department at Dave's but it's annoying that every.single.time. I ask for 1 lb of something I get 1 1/4 lbs instead. Today, I asked for 1 1/2 lbs of steamers. I get 1.78 lbs. Is this on purpose to sell more seafood? Thats my only complaint, otherwise love shopping here. But I think from now on I'll ask for 25% less seafood than I really want just to be safe. read more

I love all the Daves Markets but am always praying for my life in their horrendously designed parking lots-Alas! This is the best Daves lot of them all! Every day's marketplace, I go to has been 110% well worth the trip everyone is kind friendly even during Covid. You could still try certain things to make sure you were gonna like them especially since the price is a little bit higher than anyone else however, they also do make all their product in their own commissary and so everything is fresh packaged delivered to the store freshly sold. I like that about a place. Everyone is kind friendly goes out of their way to accommodate you and where size you want to buy if you're looking for certain things that right on top of the look for help your for it. They are the only place I know if that Carrie's mincemeat squares. This is my Honey's favorite so I buy them a couple of times a week. Yes they cost four dollars for two squares sometimes five but they are well worth the smile on his face so I don't really care what the cost is. read more

Obsessed with Dave's is an understatement!!! I live in NC and trek there to shop 2x/year. It is, by far, THE best grocery store EVER! Great deli food!! I was a travel nurse in 2022...I only shopped @ Dave's. It has great staff, great food and nice locations...except 1!!!...NC needs this store! The chicken salad with cranberries, walnuts and honey is to die for. The peppers with cream cheese and herbs are delicious. As soon as I come home they are all eaten up by my family. So, you Rhodys know how fortunate you are to have this awesome store near you. read more

Seriously, 6 oysters for $6, ,that's fine, but not when all 6 fit in a 1/2 cup container with cover on, in the shell. Total weight. .4lb in the shell. Each is the size of a quarter. I asked for a double pepperoni and double cheese, ok I understand that it sounds like two pizzas, but I asked for a double pepperoni with double cheese. Then I asked for a Greek pizza and asked if they put olives or artichoke hearts on there because I did not want either one of them. The young person behind the telephone asked me if I wanted the Italian olives and I said no dude. I love Dave's, all of them. I end up doing almost all of my grocery shopping at one of the stores. This particular one is just as good as the rest, great produce, unholy treats and bakery and friendly and polite service. The diary and frozen has a good selection and for a relatively small store they seem to know what I'm looking for. The only problem with this store is the location. Right on a curve on W. Shore Rd., a very busy street. It's always an adventure in the parking lot and on weekends and in the summer months they frequently have a cop stopping traffic so people don't get crushed trying to get in and out. Great store but the location is enough to give an ulcer. read more

I was just talking abou thtis place because I continue to be so impressed by it. There are literally like 10 staff who work here...total- and so they all recognize you when you come in. The food while limited in variety has always been of good quality. The meat, fish and deli items are fresh and delicious and the huge loafs of italian bread are always warm. Reasonable prices and I always seem to end up conversing with either a friendly customer who wants to suggest a food item or recipe or one of the great staff who is just looking to create a comfortable experience. read more

Just because it's the smallest of their chain, doesn't make it any less fantastic! This is a good place to shop for lunch items or get unique ideas. The prepared food section is top notch and runs circles around all of the competition (larger supermarket chains). What we generally go therefore is fresh seafood and to take advantage of the local neighborhood inspired Butcher department. The meet is always fresh trimmed well and ready for cooking. We often get some things from their bakery too! Always a winner ;) Wanted to make another quick note about the staff. I'm not sure what the management team is like here but in our experience they're doing a really good job because it's always easy to find a friendly happy employee! Tl;dr: I like Dave's, but you should avoid this location. This is the worst Dave's Marketplace I've been to. The aisles are way too cramped and can barely fit more than one cart and they are often filled with clutter. I'm either in the way of other shoppers, employees, or myself because I can't move the cart anywhere. Sure, maybe it's just a small building, with that local grocer feel that can be almost charming right? Wrong, because there's more. The hot food bar and prepared sections are lacking in choice which is usually what makes me want to go to Dave's in the first place. On top of that, it just looked kinda gross to be honest. The pasta I saw looked really mushy. The one thing that could make up for this would be some friendly workers to make the time there a bit better, but even that area is a disaster. Literally while I was trying to get past in a crowded aisle, an employee was throwing product on the floor in front of me like he just didn't care. Cardboard and boxed product is just laying out everywhere to make navigating the store impossible. And to just make this even crazier, the cashier was relaying to me their criminal history, like that would me comfortable to be served by them?? I love Dave's Marketplace, but not this one. Please do yourself a favor and head to the one on Airport Rd which is MUCH better. read more

It's nice to have a Dave's literally right down the road from where you live. Yes, indeedy, the parking lot can be quite an adventure getting in and out of - especially on the weekends (thank you kind officer!). Living close by, you kind of get to know when to go to avoid the worst congestion (mid-afternoon). For quick runs to the grocery, this little Dave's is perfect. Great deli, decent selection of hot foods (recently put in a pizza oven) and the produce is reliably good if not the cheapest. Also the customer service is very friendly. But what I really love are the deals. Dave's periodically runs great meat sales. Also, check out the freezer bin next to the deli. There's almost always an assortment of great frozen meat deals to be scooped up. One glorious day found me taking home 10 pkgs of ground chicken for 99 cents each (ps they make great teriyaki meatballs!). Great local store! read more

So I love Dave's Market place in general, but this one is more of a Dave's Corner Store. Very small and limited item selection. That being said, it is Dave's which makes it just a bit better than a corner store. The fruit and veg selection is pretty good. The hot food and deli section is well stocked. I would probably not use tis one because of the close proximity of the one on Airport, but if you are looking for something quick and are in the area, it will do. read more

Having nomsed on Dave's apparently infamous pizza bread, being in the near-vicinity of this particular location, and hearing that their collection of stores are a Rhode Island staple, I was compelled to do take a peek in. I ended up doing my full week's grocery shopping here. Yes, this particular location is a bit small (I'm not sure how it compares to other locations). Yes, it's not a one-stop destination for those with a more diverse palate (I wanted bok choy and they didn't have it). But talk about a deli! Very impressive. And all the prices were at the very least comparable to the big chain grocery stores, if not cheaper. Perhaps not worth a weekly drive from Providence, but I would definitely stop in again if I were in the area. read more

Dave's is my tertiary grocery store and I really only ever come here to pick up pizza bread. I find that Dave's selection is a bit small and their specialty, healthy grocery items can be found in more abundance and better quality at Trader Joe's. But, with that said, I can pretty much find the things that I need at Dave's and the staff is normally pleasant. This particular location is tough to get into and out-of. On the weekends, they have police on staff to stop traffic on West Shore allowing Dave's customers to access the store. But during the weekday, you have to battle traffic on your own. read more

The original Dave's Market, minimal in size but thoughtfully well stocked. In fact, I can save myself the time navigating the cavernous aisles of the typical 'super' market and still get everything I need at a competitive price. They have some really decent weekly specials that are downright cheap. The most surprising feature is the prepared food aisle that offers home-style prepared dinners and desserts in a nice variety.
