HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I drove all the way from Lansing and I am glad I did. They got my exhaust system welded in in less than 20 minutes and the pricing was beyond fair. It's hard to find honest shops that do great work but Dave's got me in and got it done. Quality of the work is outstanding, you can tell they know their stuff. Zach was great to work with and his dad was very informative with some other attention items that I did not know about. I do most of my own work but I found Dave's to be a business who will take care of things like I would with attention to detail. I am not a muffler person by any means. I will definitely be back. I took my car here today to have the flex pipe on my 2002 Escape replaced. Dave's had it in and out in 45 minutes for $140 and it runs beautifully now! No appointment, just drove right up and walked in :) I'm a young woman and so many times chain auto shops like Tuffy and other auto repair companies see that as an opportunity to take advantage of me. I had my car checked out by a trusted mechanic before taking it to this shop who recommended Dave's, even though I live in Fenton and Durand is kind of a hike. The guys at the shop quoted me right around what I was expecting to pay without trying to jerk me around, which I really appreciated. It's a little out of the way, but these guys are honest and did a great job on my car for a really reasonable price. My car started to make a loud rumbling noise on my Chicago to Niagara Falls trip. Luckily a friend of Dave's was at the gas station where we stopped. He got him to come in on a Sunday for us, a day when the shop is closed. Dave fixed the issue within 10 minutes, and for cheap. We were back on the road again with a normal sounding car. This is by far the best muffler shop in Shiawasee or Genesee county hands down. I've had my jeep there a few times to have a new muffler welded on, and other misc things. Today I took it in because the darn header pipe was rubbing on my oil pan and within 20 minutes they had the hangers bent back to where they needed to be, installed a whole new hanger for my muffler and welded up a hole I had in my exhaust. Was suggested that I take my car to Dave's Muffler Shop for repair, I was greeted as I exited my car and was taken care of even before I entered the building. Was told how long of a wait it would be before service could begin. The time that it took from my arrival to departure was just over an hour. The quote that was provided once the car was analyzed as to the problem was very reasonable and ended up costing under $100! Trustworthy and honest best describes this shop and it's employees - highly recommended! They get A+++ grade for their service. read more

$85 labor charged for less than 30 minutes of work (that means the labor rate is $170 per hour!)... then they charge 4% for using a credit card, but don't tell you that they charge that 4% until after the card is run through... accepting credit cards is part of doing business, not something that a customer should have to pay for. read more

I use to go to Dave's years ago when i lived in the Area. My step son got some crazy estimate by chance I looked up and saw they were still in business and talked to Ben. Drove from Ann Arbor which was 1 hour and 10 minutes away......They fixed the car in 30 minutes did it right at half the price I was quoted here.
