Horrible and worse each time I visit it's not a very large bar I ordered an overpriced drink paid for it went to the jukebox to play some music there are four people in the bar the bartender cleans up my drink and I said excuse me I think you might have mistakenly cleaned up my drink. I took two drinks. I have visited this place many times for karaoke and never had an issue. My most recent experience blew me away. I have never been treated so poorly anywhere. I thought I had given the bartender a $20 she said it was a $5. I was fine with thinking it was my mistake. Bartender threw $15 at me. I went to my table and proceeded to enjoy myself. All of a sudden the bartender came storming over to me, saying she counted her drawer and it was a five I had given her but it's okay, she's not "hard up for money!" Decided to swing by this place on a Sunday with a friend who lives near it. It was the first for both of us and we were just looking for a chill divey bar to hang out. Turns out, Dave's Place is not the place. Bartender was not very welcoming or friendly. Barely more than 6 patrons in the place (including us) so it didn't seem like she was being pulled in multiple directions or struggling. She was just apathetic, inattentive, and not really in the mood to be there. Got my friend's first drink order wrong. And when we ordered the 2nd round and politely asked for the actual drink she had originally ordered, the bartender didn't apologize or even acknowledge her mistake. Just not friendly and we never once felt comfortable or welcomed. If this happened to be an "off" night or atypical for them, then that sucks that we were there that night. If I could give 0 stars I would. The ONLY reason why I come in is because this place happens to be in my area. Every single time I come in the bartenders are extremely rude. I don't even think I've seen them smile before. They really need to learn customer service and learn that kindness goes a long way. The bartender was extremely rude and when my husband told her she didn't need to be so rude she screamed that he leave, then proceeded to throw lemons at him while some patrons followed him outside. Police were called, but were no shows. I've not ever left a bad review but this was shocking and even more surprising it's not her first incident, so this can't be blamed on an off night. I've been to Dave's a few times and have questioned the total being charged to my card after the tip..well last night I finally caught them stealing extra tips off my card. My total was $12 plus a $3 tip should of totaled $15, well my card was charged $20! Will NEVER be returning to dishonest bartenders. After living in the area and passing this bar daily my wife and I finally stumbled in to give it a shot. It was Sunday and the football game was being projected on a huge screen as well as several smaller screens. At 9 they had a decent little karaoke set up. The crowd was friendly and down to earth. The bartender was prompt to greet us. The drinks were good and the price was pretty reasonable. We would have stayed longer but we had work in the morning. I went in to meet a friend for a night of Karaoke and drinks. The karaoke host was awesome! The drinks were decent thought I didn't order anything fancy at all, nor did I drink all that much. I found the crowd to be pretty kind and the few moments that I heard people drunkly bickering, it was easy enough to make some new friends and sort of resettle the energy. It's a dive, I mean, if I'm being entirely honest but that isn't a bad thing for me since it's places like this that really make me feel like I can head in for a good time without some of the pretentiousness one might find at upscale places. They've got a few pool tables and I'm not sure if they always have the tables open but they certainly were on the Friday night I was in. I got to dance, sing and met some new people. All in all I'd say it was a pretty decent night. The one thing that did upset me, maps directed me to a totally different place on the other side of the lot and they're signage is virtually non existent and I was glad my friend came out to find me otherwise I'm not sure I'd have found the place on my own. read more

I've been on Bell Road a million times, just never noticed this particular dive bar. Like many others in the area, it's super lowkey. And in a strip mall. Things I like: It's dark AF in here. There's a lot of seating. Staff is nice, and they had a DJ on weekends. Sound system is kickin Things I don't like: Weak drink selection. Hmmm...I have mixed feelings about this place. I usually visit my favorite bartender on Sunday mornings. I decided to pop in on a Friday evening for my usual glass of champagne. Bartender told me they've never carried champagne. Really? That's odd! That's my usual, I responded. I asked if maybe she was out or if there were some in the back cooler (I saw my Sunday favorite get some from back there) and she told me "we don't have that" ...WITH AN ATTITUDE. No reason for the attitude, missy. I wasn't being difficult, if anything I was more curious to see if maybe the stopped carrying it altogether. I decided on Jager and a bottle of bud. She served me and my husband and then ignored us. I had to flag her down every time I needed a drink. The bar isn't THAT big, so it was pretty obvious she was ignoring us on purpose. The bar itself is cool. Debit card juke, happy hour, pool tables, darts, shuffle board, the restrooms are pretty clean and the fellow patrons are friendly. So I walk into Dave's place looking forward to a Dive Bar experience. Man it definitely fit the bill. Cheap booze, yess! I was at the end of the bar hanging out and doing some people watching. I had been a few places before, so I was slightly lit. It seems a friendly place where one could meet some buds or make new ones. I was a bit over dressed in a button up shirt and no friends to talk with. The bar staff was friendly and easy on the eyes, and I won't complain too loudly that a few brews were lost on my ticket. Me being the honest guy I am, I informed them of it, and they rewarded my honesty by not charging me for the brews. All in all, a cheap place for a few drinks. How have I never reviewed this place before? It's close by so I do come here. Like once a month I show up. It has that great dimly lit dive bar feel. You know you could get laid if you wanted to. The drinks are cheap and the bartenders are cool. I like the people most.... you get such a fun variety the normal alcoholics, people in their work clothes, people hoping not to run into anyone they know, and plenty of stoners. Being a semi attractive girl the mostly male patrons treat you like you are family.... the creepy kind they want to kiss... but still family. You can be relaxed and grab a few beers or get good and drunk either way you will fit fit in just fine. It's worth a trip and when the drunk people get kicked out of Santisi Brothers they walk to the other side if the parking lot and come here. If nothing else grab a beer and watch the people that come here. Also I might note that they only have 1 stall for women but there is often no line and MOST the time it does not smell like farts and coochie. read more
