We came for the soft serve margaritas. They did not disappoint. We all tried the strawberry lime twist served with a flower. They are delicious and beautiful. They also serve craft cocktails and array of specialty brews. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They offer in door and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We tried the taco, fries with beer cheese and churros all of which were delicious. Of all the places we went this was the unanimous favorite.
Great outdoor/indoor brewery in Phoenix to grab a bite and a beer with friends! I came here on a Saturday afternoon with my boyfriend for some food and drinks. We got a spot on the mostly shaded outdoor patio, which is a very big space with a lot of tables available. It is also dog-friendly, and several people had their dogs out as well. I ordered the Oklazona burger with fries and the rose cider. The rosemary seasoned fries were great, especially with the garlic aoili on the side. Good solid burger that was filling, and the cider was nice and refreshing. It's nice that you can just open a tab for both food and drinks and order from either bar as well as the food counter. It's a nice hangout spot in downtown Phoenix!

The salt and vinegar fried pickles are amazing. Super fluffy batter with delicious sauces. The service is pretty quick, order in the line for food and get drinks at the bar. Shoutout to the girl working the food counter who said I looked like a supermodel, absolutely made my day!
I'll be the first to say I'm not big into breweries, or downtown, or breweries in downtown for that matter. However I was pleasantly surprised. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was a little skeptical to be sitting outside since it was almost 90 degrees, but their mister, fans and shade really made a difference.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I usually sweat easily but I didn't sweat at all. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. I love that they have a sauce menu, I wanted to try every one of them. This will be a new go to when I find myself in downtown again

Also, their tipping option is a bit confusing and I think I accidentally tipped a lot more than I intended. They offer 100% grass fed beef burgers AND a nice vegetarian/vegan menu. Sodas and beverages are organic. Although I don't drink beer, they have plenty craft options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It can get loud between the crowd and music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the Organic Earth Bowl - Local Tepary beans, tomatoes, Brussies, sweet potatoes, wheat berries, avocado, golden beets, mixed greens, avocado-tomatillo dressing.

Came with a collaborator / colleague and met in person for the first time (over zoom previously!). Really enjoyed the fries and the bowl was healthy but helped cut the salt and richness of the fries. The beans also added a decent amount of protein. I wish the bowl wasn't so pricey though. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was definitely a hot day out so I'm glad we were able to eat inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think it would be great if the protein addition wasn't so expensive -- or maybe I should have added the fries to the salad bowl. I got the Pulled Pork and the Beer Battered White Fish. Both were delicious. The restaurant also offers a number of shareable dishes and burgers. Will be coming back to try some of the other items. We are regulars at Wilderness and we love it. Anytime we have friends in town and want to grab a drink or a bite downtown, Wilderness is one of our main go-tos. It's a relaxed atmosphere with seating both indoors and out, dog friendly, fire pits for the evening and misters for when it's hot. Service is always super kind. Love the door man- he's always in a good mood and friendly. We generally get their house made fingers and fries. Their fried chicken is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, paired with delicious honey mustard. Their fries are fresh with rosemary and sea salt. While it's hard for me to stray from my usual order, I've tried their salads and burgers as well- they never miss. As for drinks, they have really excellent cider and frozen cocktails. I'm not a beer drinker myself, so I really appreciate their variety. They also have nonalcoholic sodas that are super unique flavors including blood orange (my personal favorite). We love Wilderness- definitely the best burgers, fries and chicken on Roosevelt!

Arizona Wilderness Brewery is hands down the best brewery in my neighborhood and my go-to spot when I want incredible food, outstanding craft beer, and a fun atmosphere. If it's your first visit, the AZ Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich is an absolute must. It's perfectly crispy with just the right amount of heat and packed with flavor in every bite. One of my favorite traditions is stopping by after work on Thursdays to take advantage of the $5 IPA special. It's the perfect way to unwind, catch up with friends, and enjoy some of Arizona's finest locally crafted beer. Came back after seeing the soft serve margaritas on all socials--on Mondays they have half off cocktails all day. Made the long drive from Gilbert to see what the hype was about and let me say....that soft serve was WORTH IT! I got the swirl and it was soooooo refreshing and delicious. I have seen people comment that they were too strong (I don't see the problem or maybe some people don't really like tequila) but mine was perfect! Not strong at all. The only reason I didn't give this updated review a 5-I ordered the banh mi sando and the sandwich was so dry. Chicken was dry. The cilantro wasn't chopped I had to pick out long stems. Also I got the AZ frosè and the rosemary syrup was just way too pungent to enjoy the whole beverage. I wished it had been more balanced. Especially when the French fries are heavily seasoned with rosemary--a bit too much. read more

The food is amazing, as is the atmosphere and service. We went two days in a row and enjoyed the nice weather, trying a burger, chicken sandwich, burrito, tacos, wings, nachos, and a couple of cocktails. Truly, you can't get better than the overall experience. The food is real and tastes good, portions are perfect, bartenders are fantastic, and everyone truly seems like they enjoy their job. I will definitely be back when I return to Phoenix. read more
I love the outdoor seating and the openness of the whole place. The star of all the food was there at tacos actually coming from San Diego. I have a high regard for tacos that are fresh and creative and does not go too far on the fusion. I got the fish taco like Min recommended, and it was perfectly balanced with the crunch of the red onions and the sauce that they had with the crispiness of the fish. The other taco I got was the pork and they had cuts of avocado with their house salsa and overall it was a great mix. One thing that I did not agree with on yelp was the cauliflower appetizer. It was just a little too sauce, heavy on the taste and it wasn't that spicy but more like a sour and salty that left me not wanting more honestly it seems like their burgers are a real hit and I would say they're tacos were amazing. read more
I stopped by Arizona Wilderness DTPHX to meet up with my bestie for an afternoon drink. I was able to grab a table inside and ordered through their QR code menu, which was super easy to use. Once you place your table order the bartender brings it to your table. I ended up with the Frozen Rosé which was actually really refreshing and pretty tasty! They do have outdoor seating with misters, but with temps are hitting 110°, we definitely chose the AC. Just a heads-up: parking can be a bit tricky since it's mostly street parking. Overall, a chill spot for a quick drink and catch-up! read more
Great location within the heart of DTPHX! We had a big party there for a friend's going away. A few of us had to come early to save tables so our group could stay somewhat together. We tried to move the tables and chairs together, but the security guy trashed our efforts. Said we couldn't move the tables. The tables had to stay in their original position due to a fire hazard safety. However, chairs can be moved, just not tables! So now you know! They have lots of beer and cider options, but I opted for their rare cocktail. I think it was the prickly pear wilder. Boy, did I pick a good one! It was delish! I can't speak too much about the food, as the only food we got were the tacos (pulled pork, and grilled chicken), and they were not very flavorful so, that was a bust for me! The entire menu was pricey as well for what should be a chill, bar food hangout kinda place. Overall, I enjoyed the spacious patio seating and their wilder cocktail, but there wasn't enough there to keep me coming back! read more
This was our first brewery stop in PHX and it really set the bar high! It's a large location with plenty of seating for all your friends. They have fire pits, TVs, benches, and more. They have a great selection of beers and food. We tried a couple of sandwiches and they were delicious! Service was super friendly. And they are dog friendly! Solid place we come to time again! There's a drink like. And there's a food line. Or you can scan the QR at your table and order! One of our friends is vegan and one is veggie. And there are always great food options for everyone! And the service is quick. Drink line goes super fast. And the bartenders dont rush you even if there is a long line. They really want you to have a great experience and to love what you drink. They gave us multiple samples and didn't rush me to pick my drink of choice! On this particular Friday night - we went to celebrate one of our girlfriends' birthday! And it didn't disappoint. For drinks - I went with the frozen dream - it's like an alcoholic orange dreamsicle, slushy/frozen style. I had two of them!!! Actually, many people in my group got the same drink. Found this spot in the neighborhood six years ago.. now I'm a regular. The food does not disappoint. The PB&J burger is a personal fav. The duck fat fries are a must try!! Friendly staff and chill vibes. Indoor & outdoor seating, outdoor heaters and a few big fire pits for the cooler months. Def a great spot to go enjoy some good food & drinks with good company. read more
Was passing through town and had to stop back in to break up the monotony of the drive. I've been thinking this place since I was here the last time. I got a flight of palisade peach, a blueberry cider, cactus juice and hibiscus tangelo. All are good but that blueberry has my heart. The guy who helped us with our flight was awesome even though he's left handed (I kid). It was a pretty hot day so we decided to sit inside this time and enjoy some very adult activities such as a very classy game of Guess Who. Grabbed some merch before heading out and can't wait to come back again. Until next time AZ Wilderness. read more

Came here for a late dinner - it was taco Tuesday so all tacos are $4. We had fish taco and chicken taco. The fish taco is very yummy with the slaw and guac but the chicken taco was a bit boring with just the chicken. The sauce was very spicy so just be mindful when you soak your taco in. We also shared a chicken sandwich and it hits the spot. They were also doing tivia night on the Tuesday that we visited so it's a lot more lively than other places. read more

Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co has been a favorite for many years. So, this part is a very Integral part of Arizona Wilderness's mission. We are talking farm to table, locally sourced items that taste amazing. Scraps are composted. As a small business, they are passionate about respecting our community and its future. Now, let's talk food. The elote dip a great GF option and in another visit, the elote burger is delicious! Note-chips are NOT fried in separate frier. The burger, the burger of the month has goat cheese, arugula and a strawberry/chiltepin pepper jam. The chiltepin is my new obsession. It is delicious. And is much needed to balance the bold flavors Of the goat cheese and arugula. The not so good: My burger came out with the sauted onions. My waiter was very well versed when I ordered and immediately informed me the onions were not GF. So, the moment I saw them I asked my waiter if it was mistake. He said no and immediately took my plate. Ordinarily this would scare me into not eating at this establishment but by waiter new immediately there was a mistake and this mistake would make me very sick. Errors happen. Great beer Garden and brewery! We tried the Champurrado, Rincon, March 4 Orange and Refuge. They were all delicious, but our favorites were the Refuge and Champurrado! We got a flight of beers and they were very nice pours! We also tried the Elote Dip and chips. The chips were a little stale, but the Elote Dip was warm, delicious and full of flavor! The staff was super friendly, they have a large outdoor beer garden, a large indoor area, and they are dog and child friendly. Great selection of beer and there is a good food selection. This place has been on my list for awhile, and I finally got to try it out last night. I picked up a buddy and his wife at the airport, and headed here right after. I went with the PBJ burger with fries as my side, and I also went with a half order of the waffle onion rings. My buddy and his wife paid for my dinner, which was awesome! How was everything? PBJ Burger- Never had this combo before and always had wanted to try it out. It was definitely unique. The peanut butter kind of took over the whole thing, but it was tasty enough. Great bun, good beef, pink in the middle. I liked it. Would give it like a 3.5 out of 5. Would eat it again, but wouldn't buy it again..would try out a different burger next time. The fries were bomb! Duck fat fried, really tasty. Good ketchup, too! Waffle Onion Rings- These were legit! Super crunchy, sweet from the waffle batter, tasty as can be. They came with some kind of a maple bbq dipping sauce. A little bit odd, but was decent enough. I wound up dipping mine mostly in my ketchup that came with my burger/fries. Had water to drink. They provide big plastic cups like pizza hut used to have. The spot was chill! Tons of people were out on Saturday night. They had a fire pit and heaters all around. As we were exploring Roosevelt Row, we walked by Arizona Wilderness and noted it for our way back after the Japanese Friendship Garden. This place is huge and has ample places to sit. I love flights because I want to try all the beers but am a lightweight. The staff was so patient with me as I made my flight list and the beers did not disappoint! I was also hungry (as always) so I decided to get a flight of tacos to go with my beer and because it was a Tuesday, they had birria and Taco Tuesday pricing (BONUS!). The tacos were all so delicious and it was hard to pick my favorite but if I had to say my top, I would go with the fish taco and fried avocado. read more

Do they still have cornhole and other outside games?
I know the one in Gilbert did the last time I was there. The one downtown didn't have any on their beer garden patio when I went.
Where is the food menu? For some reason, it is only showing the beer menu.
If you go to their website, select your location and the menus will break out for food beer and brunch. Enjoy!
Do they have gluten free buns?
Unfortunately we do not offer gluten free buns. However, you can order without a bun or choose from our Noble Bakery Kona or Multigrain bun.
What time is happy hour and what are the deals?
What is the parking situation?
Nope. You can park all around downtown and use the parking meters. It's pretty cheap.
Do they serve liquor and wine or is it beer only?

Will a party of 8 be ok?
You might want to call ahead. The patio can get busy and the inside is limited as well
Do we need to make reservations?
No but it can be limited. I would get there right at 11:00 if at all possible.
How many people are aloud in a group?
Due to current social distancing guidelines, we are limiting to 6 per party.
How late do they serve food?
To the best of my memory, they serve food up to 30 minutes before closing time.
Is there AC or fans outside?
There are huge fans and a misting system. We sat outside in 💯 degree heat and we were comfortable (said the crazy Arizonan). It's true!
Is this place kid friendly?
Definitely! I brought my baby when he was 7 months old. It was still nice so we sat outside. Each had a beer and ate dinner the 3 of us. Felt very comfortable to bring him there.
Do they serve flights? If so, how many beers come in a flight, how many ounces is each beer and how much does it cost?
Yes they serve flights - I think its up to 5 I think and the cost depends on which beer you select. I believe it is 3-5 ouch pours and it comes on a nice wood plank! Well worth it!
