Arizona Wilderness Brewing Company in Downtown Phoenix is a great place to bring your fur baby. The restaurant has a lot of open seating both inside and outside. There are two large bars with various locally brewed beers on tap. Many of the beers are by Arizona Wilderness. The outside patio is shaded and does have misters for the hot summer days. The restaurant also have a water station and shared doggy water bowls available for use. On Tuesdays all the tacos on the menu are $4. I got the Pulled Pork and the Beer Battered White Fish. Both were delicious. The restaurant also offers a number of shareable dishes and burgers. Will be coming back to try some of the other items. Bingo had a great time people watching and loves meeting other dogs when he is there. During the weekends this place does get very packed so go early if you want a spot. Came with a collaborator / colleague and met in person for the first time (over zoom previously!). Really enjoyed the fries and the bowl was healthy but helped cut the salt and richness of the fries. I think it would be great if the protein addition wasn't so expensive -- or maybe I should have added the fries to the salad bowl. We are regulars at Wilderness and we love it. Anytime we have friends in town and want to grab a drink or a bite downtown, Wilderness is one of our main go-tos. While it's hard for me to stray from my usual order, I've tried their salads and burgers as well- they never miss. As for drinks, they have really excellent cider and frozen cocktails. I have a high regard for tacos that are fresh and creative and does not go too far on the fusion. The other taco I got was the pork and they had cuts of avocado with their house salsa and overall it was a great mix. One thing that I did not agree with on yelp was the cauliflower appetizer. Great location within the heart of DTPHX! We had a big party there for a friend's going away. A few of us had to come early to save tables so our group could stay somewhat together. These folks are VERY generous with their beer and cider tastings. We must've tasted everything they had to offer at the bar and they served it up with a smile. My sister ordered peanut butter and jelly wings and found out that they're not her favorite (surprise)! I ordered the sweet and spicy wings, which are not too sweet and definitely not spicy. We wanted to try more, but they ran out of wings at around 10 p.m. Our server, Braxton, was very cheerful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. My waiter was very well versed when I ordered and immediately informed me the onions were not GF. So, the moment I saw them I asked my waiter if it was mistake. He said no and immediately took my plate. We got a flight of beers and they were very nice pours! We also tried the Elote Dip and chips. The chips were a little stale, but the Elote Dip was warm, delicious and full of flavor! The staff was super friendly, they have a large outdoor beer garden, a large indoor area, and they are dog and child friendly. Great selection of beer and there is a good food selection. The fries were bomb! Duck fat fried, really tasty. Good ketchup, too! Waffle Onion Rings- These were legit! Super crunchy, sweet from the waffle batter, tasty as can be. They came with some kind of a maple bbq dipping sauce. A little bit odd, but was decent enough. I wound up dipping mine mostly in my ketchup that came with my burger/fries. Had water to drink. As we were exploring Roosevelt Row, we walked by Arizona Wilderness and noted it for our way back after the Japanese Friendship Garden. This place is huge and has ample places to sit. They also always have a solid line up of sour beers which I appreciate and this time I tried the strawberry catnip which was tart and refreshing.
