After two years, I made it back to Pyro, but this time for brunch. I had such a great brunch experience. Their pyro Benedict is delicious! I highly recommend, as well their Japanese French toast. As always their drinks a chefs kiss, the Louis martini was delicious. I love everything about pyro from their customer service to the ambiance. I highly recommend going for brunch, it wasn't super busy but I think it will be during the fall.
This place just has a cool, high-end vibe from moment you walk inside until the check is paid. The ambiance is like a high-end steak house, yet comfortable at the same time. Oh, and the food is phenomenal! I have been here once on the patio for a large happy hour gathering and loved the variety of apps we had to choose from then. This time, a lunch meeting brought me back and I knew whatever I got, it would include the short-rib skewers, which I got as an add-on for my Yaki Soba dish. The service was top notch, led by Joshua (I believe!). The only drawback to this place is parking, which is non-existent except for valet or the nearby garage. NOTE: they do validate for the garage however.
PYRO is an elevated modern Asian Fusion spot suited for a nice dining experience or a celebratory meal. To get here, there is an adjacent parking garage and the restaurant will validate your parking. Inside, they have a gorgeous interior with a good amount of seating. Wifey and I had brunch reservations and were seated right away. For their menu, they have a nice selection of uniquely crafted items to choose from. I got the Pyro Cheeseburger, she got the Sweet Potato Hash, and we got the Ube Panna Cotta for dessert. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had a great time here. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Definitely consider booking your next table here and you will not regret it!
Came for my birthday dinner and loved it. They gave me a little birthday card and a free ube dessert so def felt special coming here . The ube dessert is top tier I would come back just for it . The embered sweet potatoes side was soooo good that's a must the crunch and flavor it has wow . The drinks are good. Very nice restaurant visually we sat by the red sign and I loved the vibe there . We also got the hand rolls (not pictured ) they were really good with the soy sauce dropper . All the food was excellent . The servers were kind and attentive always filling up my water which I appreciate. I would come back for another special occasion or to show someone the restaurant . Open to trying the brunch . 10/10
What a gorgeous space! It's beautiful and very clean. There are both an outdoors and indoors areas. I can't speak for what it's like at dinner time, but it was very pleasant for brunch. Not crowded and not loud. I like the open kitchen and the neat lighting. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The brunch menu offers a lot of options. If you're a vegetarian, the Japanese French toast is a good option, the yuzu flavor is on point. They can also make the other dishes without meat upon request. My friend had the brunch noodles. My friend and I shared the mimosa service. It was fun to have the little bottles of strawberry, elderflower and blueberry essence to add to our drinks. You can use the free car valet or self-park in the garage. They do validate parking tickets.
I have to begin by saying, I haven't been to such an amazing restaurant or dining experience in a very long time, until Pyro! It seems next to impossible to hit all the marks of good vibe, good service and great food; and Pyro has it all. The restaurant is right by Global Ambassador, so parking is in the structure, and can get very busy every night, so be prepared for that. The restaurant had a lovely, dark, alluring vibe inside. We did choose to sit outside, as there was a nice big patio and the weather was beautiful. The chairs had a gorgeous deep curve, that wrapped the arms around you and were tailored in a gorgeous floral. Our incredible server, Ren, greeted us at our table and her energy was immediately infectious! We knew we were going to have a great time. You could tell she loved her job and loved this restaurant. She walked us through the menu and gave us many recommendations on drinks and food. We all listened to her drink options , all getting something different, and they were all fantastic. The matcha espresso and Louis' Martini were my favorites. We ordered the steak tartare, gyoza, short rib skewers, spicy salmon handrolls (we were able to make it 3), and scallops with risotto. Everything was truly incredible. The steak tartare was all of our favorites, and the hand rolls and gyoza , close second. Only thing I'd do differently, is try the chicken thigh skewers over the short rib. I imagine you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. With our whole evening being absolutely perfect, and still talking about it 2 weeks later, we can't wait to go back! We will definitely be asking for Ren as our server ! And reordering some of our favorites and trying some new things I had my eye on. So happy to know a restaurant still has passion and takes pride in a true dining experience.

We were the first people to arrive at 10am so I took a few ambiance photos because the vibes are immaculate inside and outside of this place. We went non-alcoholic and had the NA NY Sour and the Blue Lychee, both were delicious and came out with beautiful presentation. For food I had the Benedict and my friend had the Sando, both were so good! My Benedict was the perfect portion with the crispy potatoes and delicious chili aioli dipping sauce, I actually mixed it up and put it on everything. My friends sandwich looked super yummy and she devoured it quickly!
Finally made it to Pyro, and they did not disappoint. I was extremely surprised that there was no crowd here for brunch. Our hostess Wren was a gem, and very welcoming when we arrived. The decor was giving Japanese casino, and I love seeing an exposed kitchen while dining. The matcha espresso martini was INCREDIBLE! For brunch, we had the short rib hash, Japanese french toast, and the pyro benedict. The short rib was so yummy, and flavorful. The french toast was mouthwatering. I loved every bite. Can't wait to return for dinner!
I want to give a big shout out to Wren! She was such a pleasure & made our dining experience so much fun. We came for my husband's Birthday celebration. The food didn't disappoint but the service was stellar.
Patio was not it because it was windy. The tarp kept hitting us. Service was great. The yellowtail with the orange slice is the perfect combo. Spicy salmon handroll tasted like a lot of wasabi.
Craving Japanese food but not in the mood for omakase, I came across Pyro--and it turned out to be a great find. I was immediately drawn to the yellowtail sashimi, beautifully presented with orange, serrano, pickled ginger, white shoyu, olive oil, and cilantro. It tasted even better than it looked. The spicy tuna, pork belly, scallops, and shaved greens with miso sauce were all well-seasoned and full of flavor. The standout dessert was the ube panna cotta--not to be missed. Service was just as memorable--the woman who served us was delightful. Overall, a truly wonderful experience.
Vegas Vibes in Phoenix... Pyro, a restaurant that I will be talking about for a while. I was impressed from the moment our party of 4 walked in. The upbeat vibes, with dim lighting gave great ambiance to this great spot. Our server (can't remember her name)...AMAZING! The food is next level DELISH! We shared apps, sides, dessert, and we had our entrees. Everything so cooked perfectly. I cannot wait to comeback to Phoenix just to go to Pyro again.

Food: Japanese brunch is pretty rare, so we were excited to try this place! We ordered the Japanese Toast, and it was delicious. We also tried the Sashimi Don, if I remember the name correctly, and that was really good too. Atmosphere: The decor is not the stereotypical Japanese style you might expect. It feels very modern while still incorporating lots of Japanese elements. Even the restroom is beautifully designed. One thing that really stood out to me was that each stall had an audiobook playing inside. Such an interesting and memorable touch. There is no street parking nearby, so you'll need to park in the garage next door. They do validate parking. read more

Wow...where do I begin. Came here for my sister in laws birthday and none of us have been here before--we all loved everything we ordered. Food: We loved the steak tartar--highly recommend! We also loved the short rib skewers--no business being that good. We did order the gyoza...they were good but did not compare with the other starters. I ordered the miso salmon. It was perfectly cooked. Slightly salty but good. My husband ordered the porterhouse steak and everyone at the table got a piece and were in love. That steak was heavenly. My sister in law and friend both ordered the filet mignon and both really enjoyed their steaks. For sides we ordered the potatoes and Brussels and I highly recommend you order those for your sides if you go. The potatoes are ridiculously good. We ended on some desert, although I was too full, my husband got the chocolate cheesecake and my SIL got the sticky cake. Her sticky cake was recommended by our waiter and it was the better dessert choice. Cocktails were good. The ambiance was amazing. Service was excellent. We will definitely be back! read more
We celebrated a birthday here on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant wasn't overly busy and has a gorgeous, spacious setup with a large patio that's perfect for groups. (Note: The signage is a bit small across from The Global Ambassador, but garage parking is easy). The decor is cool--loved the retro Japanese pinball machines. The Japanese French Toast was fantastic, and the complimentary Ube dessert for the birthday girl was a super nice touch! On the flip side, the Pyro Benedict missed the mark--the shredded short ribs were very dry. The Green Tea Milk Punch ($12) looked good, but lacked flavor and wasn't worth it for my friends. Watch out for fees: They auto-added a 1.5% credit card surcharge without informing us upfront. It's frustrating for a larger, modern venue to pass off merchant fees like that. Check your bill carefully! read more

Pyro is very well decorated and is packed af!! We sat outside and I preferred it cause it was way too loud inside. The drinks were delicious and our server was very attentive and kind! The appetizers came out really quick but then our entrees took 30 minutes to come out. I don't really understand why that happened but nonetheless the food was still delicious. We did family style and everyone left pretty satisfied. Short rib fried rice and pork belly skewers was a hit for me! The New York strip was delicious as well!! read more

Excellent service. Josh was nice and showed us around the menu. Food was delicious, got the pyro cheeseburger and it was cooked perfectly -- fries the same. The burger sauce was delicious. Dark lit atmosphere on the interior, excellent seating inside and outside. Not very loud at all, easy to hear your tablemates. Great experience for all ages -- went here as a younger guy and enjoyed it. Would definitely come back for a nice date night. -Parking is $5 an hour in the nearby garage -Nice place that it is located in read more

My buddy and his girlfriend were in town for the first time in a while, so a group of us decided to celebrate with dinner at Pyro. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a great upscale atmosphere and a modern aesthetic. We started with drinks and appetizers, and everything up to that point was excellent. Unfortunately, things went downhill once we ordered our entrées. We were seated around 6:45 p.m., but our main courses didn't arrive until about an hour and a half later. I ordered the roasted chicken, and when it finally came out, it wasn't even warm. The bigger issue was with my buddy's meal. He ordered the lamb, but after the rest of us had been served, our waitress came by about 10 minutes later and realized she had never entered his order. She apologized and also mentioned that they had actually run out of the lamb the previous day, something that was never communicated to us before or during the wait. She offered to expedite a replacement order, and he chose the tuna. The tuna was fine, but after such a long wait, the way the situation was handled felt disappointing. Mistakes happen, especially on busy nights, but what stood out most was the lack of resolution. After a 90-minute wait, receiving a cold entrée, and one guest not receiving his meal because the order was never entered, I expected a restaurant at this price point to make things right--at the very least by removing the replacement tuna entrée from the bill or offering some other meaningful gesture. Instead, we paid full price. Pyro has a great atmosphere and a lot of potential, but the service and recovery fell well below what I'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber. I hope they improve, because it could have been a great experience. read more

Brunch service review. This day 2 of their launch. Loooooove! I love the dinner here and the brunch didn't disappoint! Service was great! I believe Greg is the manager and was very polite and caring. He made sure we were taken care of and the whole staff in general was fantastic! What a great team! Now onto the food! Started with the Pyro Caesar salad: Parmesan, nori, crunchy bits, miso Caesar salad. I love when a Caesar salad is not overdone and yet I can tell they put their own twist to it. The dressing was perfect and not drowning the salad and had plenty of flavor. Loved the crunchy bits for the texture! I give this dish a 5/5. Next we had the seasonal fruit and yogurt bowl. To my surprise it was UBE Greek yogurt! Ahhhhhhh! I'm in love with Ube everything! However I was hesitant at first because I'm not the biggest fan of Greek yogurt because of the weird after taste but this had no weird after taste and was so goooood! I could take this home with me and have as a snack everyday! The seasonal fruits were raspberries, blueberries, dragon fruit and bananas which are all fruits I love ! It did have almonds and honey! This was perfect synergy of flavors in a yogurt bowl. Definitely 5/5! Next up, my boyfriend had the steak and eggs: 6 oz teres major, French omelet, compound truffle butter, pyro jus. Price was great and per him he thought it was a fancier take on steak and eggs. His steak was made to his liking. He rates it a 5/5 I had the charred avocado toast. Excellent! Just what I needed after a dance class. It consisted of: smoked salmon, yuzu aioli, pea tendrils, garlic chip, nori kizami and 2 eggs. I had my scrambled and they were made perfectly and moist. The toast itself was delicious! Smoked Salmon was mmmm . I give this a 5/5. We both had a mocktail, the spiced peach tea: peach, lemon juice, Thai chili honey, black tea ice cube. I always love a place that has a great non-alcoholic beverage! Sooo delicious and complex! Not spicy so don't get scared with that. It's wonderful party of flavors that blend well. We both rate this 5/5 Every dish was pleasant in its own way! We enjoyed the food, drinks, and service. It wasn't too crowded today. We came at 12:45 pm. We sat inside. The place is beautiful itself. I love the green color for the back splash and the upholstery fabric on the seating is gorgeous in color and classy. They had a dj playing and the music was fun. I was digging the vibes ! Definitely a great brunch experience! Like I said we've had dinner and we're impressed with that as well so definitely we will return for brunch and dinner and bring friends and family. Everything at PYRO was amazing!! From the ambiance to the service to the tasty dishes, I would absolutely come back here. The hand rolls were amazing - we got the tuna and it was definitely worth it! Next favorite was the crab noodles- so creamy and lemony I would order this again. The pork belly skewers was so tender and crispy, it was perfection with the dipping sauce. The short rib fried rice was good, pretty spicy, but I don't think I'd order it again to try other dishes! The sticky toffee cake was amazing and sweet. The drinks were ok, I don't think you could taste the calamansi in the margarita and the blue lychee didn't taste like lychee either. read more

Went here for Valentine's day, and this place is such a good unexpected find! We got the yellow tail sashimi, asian pear mixed greens, whole branzino, seared bigeye tuna, short rib fried rice, gochujang brussel sprouts, and ube panna cotta for dessert! Our favorites/the standouts were definitely the branzino, seared big eye tuna, gochujang brussel sprouts, and ube panna cotta! The asian pear mixed greens and fried rice were great as well but I feel like the others were just better in comparison! Service was great and we never felt like we had to flag down the waiters because ours was great about checking in on us. Our friend said that their skewers and steak are pretty good as well. We will probably try those the next time we come back! read more

Love the spider has awesome vibes really unique menu. The stick tart is so good. I also love the short rib skewers. The crab pasta was also delicious. I had that last time my drink. I have to get every time as the Matcha espresso martini. It is so tasty overall it's a really great restaurant. You really should come here for Happy Hour! They offer it every day from 1pm to 6:30pm. Great hours to try quite a few options from cocktails and wines to appetizers and plates. We got the short rib fried rice, it was good but do wish it had some more short rib. Loved the little spicy kick it had. Also tried the salmon hand roll, which was delicious as well. I lowkey loved the soy sauce bottle it came in. The drinks were very tasty, I loved my sake spritz. Partner had the margarita and I will say it was spicy! So be warned. Service is very friendly and food came out pretty quickly. Shout out to the blonde bartender who recently had a baby girl! You were so nice to us and we hope to come back soon! Overall, vibey restaurant that is perfect for girls night or a date night! read more
Celebrated my son's birthday few weeks back and it was the first time at Pyro for all of us. We went for happy hour and ordered quite a few items sushi, fried rice, burger and a noodle dish. Wow everything was absolutely delicious. The fried rice had a little bit of spice not over the top. The burger was very unique perfectly cooked and quite tasty. The noodle dish was something that I would not normally not order but it was very tasty and have ordered it again. We also really enjoyed the sushi and a nice bottle of wine. The ambience is super cool along with excellent service we have already been back. This definitely on the dinner rotation list. Planning to try a few more unique dishes soon. read more

This place was sooo good im so happy i finally got to try it. They even have happy hour on Saturday which was amazing. We got the pork belly and chicken thigh skewers. The pork belly was my favorite and had sooo much flavor. We also got the chillin noodles and the cheeseburger. Omggg the cheese burger was soooo good. The sauce they put on the side was also delicious. For appetizers we got the gyoza which was delicious and of course the match espresso martini is the best I've ever had. Love the vibe here indoor and outdoor. Dark/Dim lighting for a romantic setting. The decor and ambiance has a modern old school look. Everything is meant to share which is great so you can taste more things. Between 4 of us we ordered about 7 plates and finished everything. My favorite was the short rib fried rice and the garlic noodles. Everything is super flavorful and they make sure everything comes out in a particular order. Service was lovely. Our waitress was kind, and happy answered all of our questions and offered suggestions. The only reason im not giving 5 stars at the moment is, when it came time for the bill, it took like 20min with no service. Non valet parking is aboir $15 in the garage right across the street. Valet parking is $5 with validation but was only 1 attendant so you may have to wait. read more

I looove this place. 2 of the times we've dined here we've had a server- brunette lady. Entertained all our questions and was funny too. The food and drinks are amazing & the service is always good too. Not to mention the beautiful vibe!! Try the crab pasta! read more
Per the great reviews, we decided to make reservations at Pyro for our Anniversary dinner. We arrived 30 minutes early and sat at the bar. There were only a hand full of people at the bar and we were there for a few minutes before any of the 4 bar staff acknowledged us so we were not sure how the evening would end up going. Once we had the attention of one of the bartenders, we ordered two dirty martini's and asked for them to be shaken very, very cold. They are served in beautiful coupe type martini glasses but unfortunately were not cold and the olive juice they use was just off. We just couldn't finish them. But, I want to acknowledge how nice and attentive the young man who is the Bar-back was to us. He constantly checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Once we checked in, the hostess sat us in a very nice booth section in the middle of the restaurant away from the crowds. Our server was Emily who is excellent. We ordered wine and Emily went over the menu and offered some great suggestions. As we were ordering, a family came in and were sat behind us in the same section. Unfortunately their child was super vocal and wouldn't stop yelling at the top of his little lungs. We looked up at Emily with desperation and she immediately said she was moving us to a table in a different section of the restaurant. Emily saved our anniversary dinner! Abe immediately came over and discretely moved us to another section in the restaurant. In fact, it was a better table with a great view of the restaurant and hearth. I felt terrible moving but it would have ruined our special night. Everything we ordered in the menu was excellent! I would recommend all. Starter; The hearth beets were full of flavor and not overly sweet. The pork belly skewers were super tender and delicious. We split the 40 day aged bone in ribeye. Medium rare, cooked perfectly. Enough for two people. Sides; Short rib fried rice. Wow, can't say enough about this fried rice dish. A new favorite! Gochujang Brussels sprouts. So delicious! Brian the GM stopped by to check in on us as well as check on the food which I thought was very nice. Brian was very friendly. I felt the food was absolutely delicious and was reasonably priced as well. I would highly recommend Pyro. Ask to be seated in Emily's section!! read more

I made reservations on Halloween it wasnt too busy. We were seated as soon as we arrived. We sat at the booth under the snake. The atmosphere is dark and moody. Great for a date night. I will say the service started off really slow it took a minute to get water. To drink we had lychee martinis which were good. I had the tiger prawn which was a new item and it was absolutely amazing the sauce, jalapeños and pickled onions all were great. I couldve ordered 2. I tried the salmon hand roll which Im not a raw person but it wasnt bad. For the entree we tried the lobster pasta I wasnt a fan sadly it was too lemony for me and no seasoning. The brussel sprouts were absolutely amazing they had fish scales I believe it was called on there it was thrown off a little because it moved but the dish had so much flavor. Overall a really cute place Id try other dishes. read more
Going to go ahead and slam this 5 star review down. From the service, to the food, to the ambiance...PYRO DOES NOT MISS. They changed out our plates 4 times to enjoy the several dishes we ordered. Every single dish was just flat out excellent. I went ahead and dropped several pictures to be looked through. The fried rice might be the best dish in the city. Not only that but their steak is INCREDIBLE. Date night, night out with friends, quick solo meal at the bar. This place is flat out incredible. Cheers! read more
Pyro was great for dinner, and happy hour was just as good! I have found my new favorite espresso martini, they top the drink with a matcha foam which is TO DIE FOR. The yellow tail sashimi and hand rolls were very light and great to share w your date. The chili garlic noodles were also surprisingly amazing, as the description didn't seem like much, but the flavor was amazing and the noodles were a great chewy consistancy, not overcooked. Our waiter was very helping in helping us decide on dishes, and even brought us an ube flan to help me celebrate my birthday. read more
Everything was wonderful.. from the staff, the atmosphere (OMG so cool!) and the food! We shared the yellowtail sashimi, short rib skewers, each had a filet (WOW SO GOOD!) Roasted shiitake mushrooms were the best! So much flavor and ube panna cotta for dessert. Yum! I had the spicy margarita (not spicy at all imo but great) and my son had a spritz drink in the cocktail list that he loved. Out sever was so sweet & helpful (shorter black/dark hair) can't remember her name but she was great. Power went out when a storm rolled through., lights out & candles at the end made my son's bday even more memorable. read more

Is there a dress code or typical style of dress similar to casual elegance?
No set dress code, but definitely lean towards trendy/smart casual, there's people in jeans to cocktail attire!
How is this place for vegetarians (not vegan so dairy, eggs are ok- the sides look good and the yakisoba noodles?
Hmm, everything but the potato side I had was some sort of meat dish. I would review the menu super well and identify options. The Caesar salad is incredible as well and a great portion size!
Do they have a corking fee?
BYOB was made illegal in Arizona in 2020 or 2021 so no restaurant in the state can legally allow you to bring in your own bottle.
