Max and Redmond my standard poodles

I will recommend Dave's K-9 Dog Training to anyone with out any hesitations! I enrolled my out of control standard poodle puppy, Max to the 5 days a week - 8 hours each day puppy program which lasted for 3 weeks. He was only 3 months old when he was enrolled. I have owned standard poodles for years and would not think of owning any other breed. Unfortunately I was not able to bond with this puppy because he was so bad. I was getting nowhere with him at home. This training was a last resort for me. I thought I may have to re-home this beautiful puppy if things didn't change. All of the trainers were fabulous and so full of knowledge about dog / puppy training. I was seeing results immediately and after the 3 week program, I have a new puppy that I have now bonded with and love. I now know that I am able to continue with his training at home. They did not just train Max, they also trained me. He truly excelled in his classes and learned the commands as promised. He just graduated from the program today. I now truly enjoy my puppy as I should have from the beginning. The thought of re-homing Max has never even crosses my mind again. The team truly made a difference in our life. We plan to follow up with weekly group training sessions and I am sure he will continue to excel. Lastly, I was also very surprised by Daves pricing. It was nearly half the price of the other guys and his one on one training is the way to go. You will not have any regrets here. I interview the others and I didn't believe he would get the 1/1 training and Continuity of of their staff that Max needed. The others were just to big and I didn't feel like Max' training plan would be personalized to our needs. I am More than satisfied- I am also so thankful to the team for all that they have done for Max and I.

Great training -- we have seen tremendous improvement in our puppy's obedience and behavior.

When I needed to find a new care giver I was concerned since she had been at the humane society twice, so I wanted the best environment I could find for her. Williamsburg was one place recommended to me. When I visited, I felt very good about the facility and people. The facility was very clean, well organized and staffed. Everyone seemed genuinely interested in the animals under their care. My dog certainly seemed to enjoy her stays (and for a time she was there more than she was at home). She came to know the staff and was always happy to see them. The staff knew her and always treated her so nicely. She was always happy to arrive and just as happy when I came home. While I no longer travel as much, Williamsburg remains the place I trust to take care of my dog. She always seems happy to see the staff and I've been very happy with the service I have received.

The cut is uneven, particularly around her face, which appears choppy and not well blended. Her paws were also not cleaned up to the standard I expected. The areas of greatest concern are her armpit and belly, which were shaved extremely close. Her skin appeared irritated afterward, and there is a small area on her belly that looks consistent with a minor nick from the blade. I spoke with management to address these concerns and am currently requesting a refund based on the result and condition of the grooming. Overall, I am not satisfied with the service provided. If you have a long-haired or double-coated breed, I recommend clearly confirming grooming expectations in advance.

I just want to start off by saying that I am pretty disappointed in the staff and owner. We have been bringing him here since August of 2022. I know he was first in the Toy box room and has transitioned to the Gym room now. It seems like he started doing this when he was placed in the bigger room with the bigger dogs. But honestly, I don't know because no one communicated to me that he was doing this. We started to notice it when we picked him up and his feet were wet. Everyone at the front desk just acted like it was no big deal. So fast forward to March of 2023 and I sent an email to you all about why Oakley was being put in "timeout." Well turns out that the digging/playing in the water bowl is still happening and is getting worse. So you all ask about instating your three step process and I give you permission to do so. "We can also instate our three step process, where after the first incident we have them sit at our feet for 30 seconds, then after the second incident we walk them on a slip lead , and if it happens again THEN he would get the crate break." I have watched/recorded the webcams and the three step process is not a thing. All of the canine coaches are just done with my dog and he gets put in the crate immediately. Also, can someone explain to me why some of these canine coaches walk around the room with two metal bowls and bang them together? Or run a metal bowl across the top of the crate? I don't understand that and it doesn't seem like something a lot of dogs would like. So here we are today May 10, 2023 and I get a text message that "Oakley is taking an extended break right now" and "It seems like a game to him and we have used all the corrections & redirections that we are able to in this environment." I was told to call and basically was told that myself and Oakley should look elsewhere. So that is what we will do. I understand the annoyance of him digging/playing in the water bowl, but I don't see any real problem with it. He is a one year old puppy. We did 2 weeks of training at this facility and 8 weeks to prepare for his Canine Good Citizen and Canine Good Citizen Advance test, which he passed. Kit and Alex the trainers are awesome. He is not a bad dog. He just loves water! The bottom line is all of the canine coaches got tired of my dog. He was punished by being put in the crate any where between 10-40 minutes all because he was digging/playing in the water bowl. We were paying to have our dog socialized and he was not. If we wanted him to be in a crate all day, then we would have just kept him at home. It's just a shame that there was a lack of communication and broken promises. I wish the owner would have responded to my email, but here I am posting a Google Review that I am sure he will respond too. I hope you are able to find staff members that truly are dog people and care for them as if they were their own. I attached photos of bowls being banged together and Oakley always in the crate. P.S. We have already found a new place and they have little pools for him to play in! - Courtney & Mike Frazzetta
