We were very disappointed in this market. Website says they had a very large selection of foods, not so. We will never go back

I have been going to this particular Drug Mart since it opened a long time ago (Yeah, I'm old). In…read morerecent years they have made a number of improvements to this particular store, which previously felt like shopping in a ghetto with all the cosmetics behind locked glass so I would have to ask a clerk to open it up with a key if I wanted, say, a nail scissors. They've done away with that in favor of just having security guards in uniform standing around ready to pounce on shoplifters, so shopping here is now much easier. It's not the most organized store in the world - be prepared to hunt around for what you want, especially a seasonal item, and maybe have to ask for price checks when they have a whole bin of stuff not clearly marked as to what's on sale. But if you're willing to go through that, you can get some good bargains. I almost always buy more items than I came in for because I'll see something I can use, like a T-shirt or bra, marked down to a few dollars. The grocery section sometimes doesn't have the freshest stuff (rock hard sugar that's probably been there for months) or the best prices, but it's the nearest and best thing to a convenience store in this neighborhood since many of the old time convenience stores in Lakewood (Lawsons, Convenient Food Mart, etc. ) have now been converted into booze and cigarette outlets. I do a lot of shopping for my senior citizen parent and Lakewood Drug Mart also has the best selection of home health care type stuff that seniors need (note, this is not true of all Drug Marts, I'm just speaking of the Lakewood one). The selection at Drug Mart really beats the pants off the CVS across the street, so I only find myself going to that CVS when I need something specific like their 2 for 1 sales on vitamins - otherwise it's Drug Mart all the way. Reasonably friendly staff, multiple checkout lines, and lots of free parking in back of the store as well. Oh and by the way - they've changed the shopping carts so you can take those out to the parking lot now.

Purchased hand soap from an end cap on the near the north doors earlier this morning along with half and half. At home I discover that the pump on the handsoap will not deploy. I ride my ebike up which I lock, but unable to secure to a stationary object. I go in, grab a repalcement--notice a growing line at custormer service where they dispense lotto tickets so I go back to the register with the defective bottle of soap, the replacement bottle of soap and my receipt. Nice kid at the register says he can't exchange; calls manager who doesn't come out to speak to me but tells the kid I have to go to customer service. Srsly? An unused bottle of handsoap for an unused bottle of handsoap and a receipt from a few hours earlier in the day. Thanks for the runaround Mr. Manager.

Few aisles inside are obstructed (by the cleaning supplies) and are being improved. The bathrooms inside are not fully functional. Family restrooms inside are open. There are several portable toilets outside. Starbucks is mostly out of order - no ice, and no food. Several areas of the store are covered in tarp. Just be aware of not the full Target experience as you're used to it. The store is still pretty well stocked. There are a lot of new fashions for women - cute summer dresses and pants. Swimsuits and beach attire is already out. You can also find a new Pride line. I was surprised to find last year's fashions in store. There was a dress on a rack that I bought last year, and a few other pieces. I was very happy with all the clothing sales. I purchased a very vibrant "Brasil" summer shirt for $7.50! If you're looking for summer tees, check this Target. I also purchased "Papaya" sweater for $28, and a few household necessities. Also of note, Target now carries Krispy Kreme donuts in boxes! I didn't know that's an option but it apparently is. Even in the late afternoon there were a lot of donuts left! Service at the store is pretty attentive. I was able to get quick help when I couldn't find contact lens solution. All the employees I encountered were very pleasant. Overall, if you can overlook the construction, it's not a bad shopping experience. There's large inventory here and better than average customer service.

It's a good thing that we weren't there to buy alcohol because, as the sign says, you can't purchase it on Sunday. This was a surprise to me, I'm from out of town. I guess this could be a problem if you wanted to serve mimosas at brunch. Plan ahead next time. Since I'm a Target Circle member, a nice employee told me it's Target Circle Week and gave me some popcorn. Clean store, well stocked, friendly people.

Neither were other customers walking out in loud dissatisfaction. Strange experience. INVENTORY: The inventory listed online accurately reflects the store stock. I easily found Ayr saline nasal wash with aloe that was sold out at other stores. The store had plenty of seasonal inventory. An aisle full of Valentine's gifts and sweets. Like Hello Kitty merch and adorable stuffed animals. If you want to get an early start on Easter shopping in January, get stocked up at this CVS. They have Peeps and various holiday candy. I was pleasantly surprised with bookish selection as this store. Even paperbacks for trending authors were in stock - Colleen Hoover and Mary Kubica. If you're still in vision board mood, you can get magazines at this location! There are plenty of baking and cooking magazines in case you're looking for new recipes! SERVICE: Service at this location is non existent. There are no employees staffing the checkout. When I finally found an employee in the aisle and asked for assistance with a coupon, it was met apathy and rudeness. I felt like I was imposing. All I wanted was to buy a nasal spray and apply a coupon if applicable, but it proved to be difficult. PARKING: The parking lot is mostly very dim even by the entrance. It did not create a feeling of safe environment for me as a woman. Overall, this store has ample inventory and likely everything you are seeing in stock online. As far as other aspects of the shopping experience, not the best.

I had just bought $58 worth of toiletries. I asked where the restroom was and found out it's not for customers. I checked with the store manager and it's true, no public restroom. I will no longer use this pharmacy.
